DONT use annunaki. It'll irreprably break your levels since you don't have ini. Use PF. difficulty mod t won't stack with the overhaul but it probably edits level anyway so

you can do it the easy way or the fun way.
the easy way is you use melee weapons and soups and well-allocated levels to cheese the mission. this is best done alone because of aggro mechanics and there are a ton of tutorials on youtube.

the fun way requires a shit ton of effort. i'm not entirely clear on how to do it with multiple people, but i would guess it would work something like this:

1. assign one person the role of "point getter." other players killing creatures gives you points, but it gives you half points. the only way to do the first wave in time is to be extremely efficient with points. the point getter will use their bow to kill smaller creatures to farm 1500 points. all the other players can use their arrows to damage the creatures without killing them, allowing the point getter to farm points. the point getter buys the cluster grenade and finishes the wave.

2. point getter once again has to be skilled. buy a compound bow and use it to kill the wyverns and once again farm 1500 points. use the same strategy as the last wave, but rather than using a primitive bow use a compound one.

3. essentially the point getter follows the on-foot method of bow - comp bow - cluster grenade - tek bow, and everyone else just does whatever. make sure to save up points for wave 10 though.

the mission is really complicated and difficult, but with multiple players and a proper understanding of the mechanics it's doable. i've done the mission on alpha solo with official settings and prim tek armor, that video is uploaded on my yt channel (linked to my profile). i also wrote a tutorial on the wiki page for sta. i think having one main player complete the first few waves so they can get all the points would be the best strategy

nope, you have to kill a creature to get 50 pts for it

i'm not sure but it involves getting an obscene amount of top quality armor, so much so that you have to get like 600 weight to avoid being encumbered, and then pumping melee. plus i think it uses beer for the buffs

the mission probably isn't as hard with 3-5 people if you know the strategy even if you're just rushing into it, but you have to really know the strategy. if you don't get enough points for a cluster grenade in time on waves 1 and 2, you're very screwed, and waves 8 and 10 require skill

but like 3 players with a tek bow on wave 10 sounds like a guaranteed win, you'd just need 1 or 2 edmundium boosts if you could

near the teleporter there's a damage boost that costs 5000 credits and causes you to do 4x damage for 15 seconds. it doesn't feel like a long time but with good tek bow timing it means a lot

as i'm typing this i realise that 4x damage really isn't worth that much when you have 3 people because you're already doing 3 times the normal amount of damage, or at least a consistent 2x damage for 2 minutes rather than 4x damage for 45 seconds (using my method) but hey i would still recommend saving credits when you can

and being forced to run on the ground being chased by a horde of creatures that will 100% kill you if they catch you sounds by all standards terrifying

If progress is rough, I would recommend another larger map like ragnarok, but I think a lot of people use Olympus for that mod

In the asm files there should be a folder called saved, possibly with the name of the map. In that should be a .ark file. Just save that file somewhere else and it'll keep your progress. You will need to locate the tribe file and player file too

I have only assigned one other admin in GPortal and there is an admin password in Gportal. Does playing single player allow all members, including non admins the ability to admin cheat codes?

Again, singleplayer settings is not for multiple people playing on the server. It's for tamed dino settings to be higher. The only people that will have access to commands are those that have the admin password.

the multiplier is NOT singleplayer mode, it is not unique to singleplayer nor is singleplayer bound to using it. Only launching singleplayer from the ark client is singleplayer. nothing else. servers do not have a singleplayer mode, they are inherently distinct from singleplayer.

So my unofficial server I am on I keep having egg spawning issues. They will spawn sometimes and u pick them up and they will disappear in your inventory or they won't even spawn at all.

Also the weight sometimes doesn't work. Like I'll log on and my weight will be all wonky and other times it will be normal.

While I get your frustrations, Wildcard doesn't handle unofficial servers aside from game updates and such. You'd likely need to contact your host provider. Someone here may know of ways to keep specific people out aside from banning the IP/steamID.

@sour shoal if it is for either Microsoft version of ark, you will need the xbox-win10 role to access the Microsoft specific channels under #bulletin-board-rules. Once you have the role, you can look through the server advertising channels, or create a lfg in #735196267373920286 . The PC channels refer only to steam, epic, and stadia.

However ab has a ton of these load points all clustered near each other making it virtually unplayable in non dedi

My game is lagging pretty badly after the update with the mods I have and that didn't happen before. I use the official steam version and I don't know what to do I haven't changed any of my mods or their order

Yes and no. With no settings, it uses pretty much the same settings as "Local Hosting mode" which saves all the "download" data in the "save folder". So you can "upload your character" instead of simply "transferring" in a cluster. Then, if you run another server the same way without any cluster settings you could download stuff in there (as long as you don't override the save directory). Would make people's life hell tho, since you'd need to upload and then find the other servers manually then download...

Hello, I am interested in setting up an early Halloween event on my private server. We're doing the maps in order so we'd like to meet the Dodorex before we transfer to Scorched earth. I have activated the event via the "FearEvolved" panel. It was recognised at launch by the server but there are no pumpkins, scarecrows, dinosaurs of different colours. There are only the rewards in the pot which have no price and can be obtained for free. I'm looking for a solution, thanks in advance to those who can give me answers.

You can patch some of the content back in with mods

That's weird if the event colours don't work, they usually are the only thing to remain. FE colourset is heavy on the browns though iirc so you may just be having a hard time spotting them
