Build small and concealed, I find leaving a wall or ceiling missing to give the impression that my base has been raided helps as well. Other than that learn to use stash boxes. Hide them all over them map and store valuables inside when you log off.

you can stash away items and cryos in the upload obelisk for 24hrs, refresh it within that time-frame. Unless you have friends avoid officail pvp because offline raiding always happens. You can try official ORP (offline raid protection) servers but they are exploited often.

maybe take a sinmacrops in and fly around, used to be able to grapple and such or use a kangaroo to get up high but I think they patched it for the spider.

Certian bosses unlock certian engrams so for example valguero has dragon manticore and monkey you would still need to do gen 1 and 2 for tek skiff and exo msk and other bosses for etc

Why is the meta one heavy one Tek turret for walls? The main threat is stegos and rockets now to drop a wall quick is it not? Tek does more damage and has a chance to splash the rider. Seems like heavies are useless other than rockets and c4 on tames. So wouldn't it make more sense for 2 or 3 regular turrets on wild for the rockets, and a few heavies on lower range set on tames only for chance of c4 Dino's after tame turrets soaked?

And the rest Tek with 2/3 on tame and 1/3 on player only?

And I'm specifically thinking about caves, but is there any tame that Heavies do more damage to? Seems like they take less time to drain, and they do less damage

I understand it would be entirely outbalanced by everything else, but high-stakes single shot weapons are fun to use, the longneck rifle has it's own niche and popping out a pistol and popping someone in the middle of melee combat feels more natural.

oh absolutely, even the simple pistol (current lowest teir gunpowder weapon) can outclass bows and crossbows by being able to fire multiple shots. A high damage single-shot pistol would be outclassed by the double barrel shotgun, they fill the same role while one has double the ammo and a smaller reload.

I'm just simping over rust's eoka, despite it having an unrealistically fast reload in rust. It just feels right to swiftly pull it from your belt, fire off a shot, and get back to gritty melee combat or even pull off a lucky headshot against an unarmored ambusher.

it's just fun but impractical, even with progression in mind. You can't really fit in in much sooner than the simple pistol because of the forge, but the simple pistol would instantly outclass it

A lot of newer players trade resources like dust/arb for Lines and if ur new you're most likely doing offline raids to start. A lot less trial and error with a 180k hp stego vs a 7k stego

I climbed as far as a solo could. It is boring and pointless. Started out on a sky quetz and did center alpha and beta rockwell, then managed to get beta rag. Got tek and gen2 engrams, quite a lot of dinos I stole from kids, shadowmanes, wyverns, a few stegos, even a capped food daeodon... even tek suits... for what? I can't fight big tribes, can't claim a good spot even having tek turrets because the next morning someone just soaked it all during my offline time, could get lines of my own... if breeding on top of quetzals wasn't so painful... what's the point when the game is so dead that if you're not into one of the biggest factions you can't even play the game?

I commend you. But what did u expect? I agree you can't just go attack a big lunar or snow north as a solo and expect to actually succeed or get deep but you put yourself at a disadvantage when you play a 6 man tribe capacity cluster as one solo player. Ark in the late/end game requires you to have at least 5 if not 6 members who are all experienced and have a lot of free time and are all on the same page as far as work ethic. Late game is sweaty asf and there's a reason tribes like Cerberus/#PHG/Level up last for years, they're the best in the game. Ark has been out for 7 years now, people are way better nowadays than they used to be. It's a survival game that people have had years to adjust to, new players are gonna have it rough.

You should rocket run which is basically where u get a stego a beer and rocket launcher and rockets. Beer reduces the dmg u take along worh flack at rhe cost of draining your stam. Stegos will soak so u dont take dmg and can get close. Then the shoot the rpg while riding the stego, however you gotta be basically on top of the turret or the rocket will be shot. The rocket damages you when you shoot it sobi suggest bringing at least 1 backup set of flack. This does not work if there are tek turrets on the base. To add to this trikes take even less dmg then stegos if you are just going to soak turrets that take advanced bullets, and rock golems are even better.

Or if u got ok flak (400+durability)you can just go without the stego and 2 rocket launchers and run the turrets shooting both rockets at the turret upon being next to it. You will die but only 1 per turret. This only work when there are no tek turrets and a low amount of heavies and autos

If someone in your tribe has the Railgun engram, they could try scouting the map using one of those. There are often youtube videos talking about mesh locations on map so you could try taking the railgun/parasaur etc. outside all of those locations. Maybe you could try threatening/bluffing the meshers too. "Mesh base reported." But I'm pretty sure you have to find the evidence before you can actually report them.

Yeah, little by little Wildcard will just keep filling in those mesh holes as they're found. It would be nice if they would actually monitor tribes, find the meshers and kick them out of the mesh (and/or ban the players) and then fill in the mesh before meshers can even become an issue. And before honest players have to take days or weeks out of their lives searching around with no chance of finding dishonest players hiding in the deep mesh.

Make sure you have capped turret limit, wall push back as far as possible, cap turret ammo, have a tower outside so it takes a shit ton of time to even get to your main wall, should get you to survive offline timer.
When someone tried to grief you while offline make sure to replace all the damage of course

Bro, until you reach lvl 90, you got no way to offline defense your base. Your best way of action is to hide boxes of stuff around and keep a crafting base. Or find a really really good rat hole that nobody will come to look into.

so me and my friend have a non dedicated server and we have parasuar and a trike and frogs we literly died for and we are going to tame raptors but dont really know what to do after that can you guys sugest something

Pretty much before I tame anything else, I level up my weight to about 400 and craft whatever I can. Once I'm high enough level and have a decent base going, I usually get a Ptera. Throw a bola at it and shoot it with tranqs. After getting a saddle on the Ptera, I go for an Argy. It's a lot easier to tame other dinos and start building a good base when you've got a high-level Argy that can carry a lot of weight. (And it's fairly easy to lure an Argy into a small trap.) Then I usually go for gathering dinos such as Doed and Anky.
