Bloodstalkers are in the pvp meta, magmasaurs are really underused and underrated for soaking/spam clearing. Megachelons are really good for soaking bases that are on mountains or elevated turret towers that will hit its shell

basically the servers do a save every 15 minutes; items have to be in your inventory with an unchanged stack size through one of those server saves before it will let you upload it to the obelisk. you will probably notice a bit of lag everything the timer reaches zero; that is from the server save

Have the same issue. Build a small hidden hut log out for 2 hours come back to complete foundation wipe and my body never touched so no clue who did it. Happened on 10+ servers

Its really hard to hide a base; people will use stuff like .ini mods that, while making the game look like a Playstation 1 title, make foliage, water, and other stuff transparent. People will also haul around parasaurs with argys to scour for hidden players and tames.
best advice is to make sure tames are cryopoded, you have solid ground hiding you hut, put all your stuff in boxes before logging off and leave your body far away from your hut, do tricks like layering a mortar & pestal between stone pillars for storage, and putting up other pillars and ramps to make it look like a trap

Its just crazy that this game went from meaningful multi tribe servers that flourished with healthy pvp and pve mix and cooperation. and you shouldn't be building on artifact caves or any caves without heavy turrets, just search for hidden spots on host/local
