On what setting do i set turrets outside, and inside respectively in my crouch cave rathole in greenzone? I have 4 currently outside, with a plant x, all set to players and tames, with one turret being players only. On the inside I got like 12 turrets, the ones pointing to the entrance hole being on players only, and ones pointing down to the area where some dinos are being players and tames. Also got 2 plantx on players and tames inside.

what map? center is the only current map dunkleo is viable. karki anky is mostly for ab since argy/rhynio is better everywhere else. unless you live near the metal already.

There's a cooldown after a titan has been tamed or killed but i don't know or remember what it is, i would expect 5 minutes but i don't really remember. It could also be a longer cooldown if one has been tamed

Either what Fennix said or by chance you're near the water and someone has a raft with a bed on it near your bed. If you see your bed but spawn on the beach it's what Fennix said. If you don't see the bed on the respawn screen then there's an enemy bed too close to yours, almost surely on a raft.

I played ark back then but i don't miss it and never did. Extinction is what made ark pvp great and old cryos where awesome. If im starting up i can equalize the field with a bat heavy or turret raft and steal relatively up to date lines. Now no one carries anything except flak, weapons whips grapples.

i guess i can still steal reincarnations with an oasis but pvp is just so slow now.

In ase if you get further away from a tree you can notice it turns into a bilboard

the very most i will give the new cryos is that it stops meshers having a stego in your war room (or at least, makes it way more difficult). That's all though that can be said for them, and that can be made less effective by good base design anyway. The new system really destroyed the flow of the game in open world pvp and really hurts startups who don't have the rescources to throw around on cryofridge + gen , it hurts the good old raft startup and it hurts quetz basing (both not allowed cryofridge.) people just carry less tames on them for startups to make a play, and theres less people willing to quickly join a high pop map to pvp due to the extra hassle and sitting vulnerable on a beach with no tame... It's not like we have movement speed anymore. at the very least jeremy imagines the cryos will be back for ext. Thats my one hope for asa

Do you think Genesis 2 has completely ruined Ark: Survival Evolved? To me, it feels like the map stripped away everything that made the game fun – the grind, the progression, and the satisfaction of earning your way up. From the moment you spawn, you’re handed a Hex Suit, which is basically a Tek Suit. There’s no challenge anymore: you can fly, carry unlimited weight, and farm endless resources like metal and Element without any effort. It’s like skipping straight to the endgame without playing the actual game.

The loot drops on Genesis 2 make it even worse. High-tier Tek items like Tek Rifles, Tek Saddles, and Tek Turrets – which used to require hours of farming and grinding – are handed to you for free. Tek gear used to be valuable and rewarding, but now it feels completely worthless. It’s like inflation in the game: Tek is everywhere, so it’s not special anymore. Add to that the asteroid biome, where you can gather everything you need in massive quantities, and farming becomes laughably easy.

Playing Genesis 2 feels less like survival and more like a creative mode. There’s no struggle, no sense of accomplishment – just instant access to everything. It’s like when you install mods that give you unlimited resources and gear; sure, it’s fun for a while, but after that, you’re left wondering: What’s the point of playing anymore? To me, Genesis 2 destroyed the progression and balance of Ark and made the game feel empty and meaningless. What do you think?

You said “it feels less like survival and more like creative” I am conflicted on the topic, I think that once you get a high level argy the game automatically becomes less like survival because you can literally kill almost any wild Dino in the game with that but I can agree on the drops being incredibly overpowered. The thing I liked abt Gen 2 is that it helped smaller tribes out a lot, the element biome helped bigger tribes more than I’d like it to but the map kind of evened the playing field for those who didn’t have 24 hours a day to play.

Tbf in ase they weren't as insufferable because there were other more broken dinos, unless the manas were capped lvl 450's

Also all those other maps meant there were more counters to the ice lizard
