No not really, different gamestyle and different tactics. It just caters to a different segment of pvp:ers than the 1x:ers and smalls folks.
There are loads of orp unofficials tho, menatwork seems to be the most popular one at this time but is heavily modded and heavy on the rules

Each with different pros and cons.

so wanted to point out to everyone with pvp for base def / cave def etc.... the bob's tale's water reservoirs are massively OP .... 25k health considered a metal structure block all tames from getting through allowed you to slowly pick off enemy tames while you lose nothing or nearly nothing .... maybe wildcard will fix these but even on 6x takes 4 c4 to destroy 2-3 element in a tek rifle .... etc.... they change the game when it comes to setting up a fob or defending a base.... go test it out i have in single player and used it in offical servers / have had it used against me etc.... maybe others are aware of it maybe not but now everyone will be

You get uploaded and can go to a different server or respawn on the same server your items will stay in your inventory but your dinos will teleport out to where you started the fight and btw if you had element in your inventory it disappeared

Foundations give 3 tiles of support so if you wanna save on mats you can do lines of foundation 3 tiles apart buy make sure to connect them all with a line or something to connect the support
