Nope you can use tek Generator and forcefield before you have the engram, you just need engrams for Transmitter teleporter and tek turrets

Wyverns at the cave mouth is not a good defense. Anyone with a bow and ambition could get past that with ease.

The best base defense in Ark is to stay small and hidden. Caves shouldn’t be claimed until you have all the resources needed to build proper defenses all at once because caves are constantly being checked for people.

The Ark devs are really really weird with ratholes

Ones that include ziplines / pelegornis (or any dinos) / lead to the mesh / need to get knocked out to enter {basically anything that you can just walk into and isn't a mesh hole is allowed} however, for example : there is a base spot on Extinction that has been very well known since release, literally every wipe on Arkpoc I have seen a tribe build in it countless times and one time the base owner got banned for building in there - then another tribe moved in straight after he got devwiped and lived in there till the servers wiped (2 weeks later) without a single issue with the ark devs (there was no cheateing or anything like that and the reason for ban said : mesh base. Basically some are ok but some aren't - it really depends. I can give you loads of rat holes if you want btw

Tek stegos spawn at higher levels than normal stegos. Higher levels are usually better stats.
