It's the males, they are all constantly on breeding and can't be turned off. But you can turn off the females and that will stop it though. Or just cryo up your males.

It should keep them out. We had griefers on my pve server so used forcefields to keep them out. You have to repot them for griefing if it is pve. If your allied with them which you may not even realise the can go inside your field

You need it to be not aggressive and hold a torch it should land on your shoulder then you do tasks like. Farm . Craft or kill then it takes kibble/mutton to tame. Its probably worth watching a video to see the process. I screwed up when i eent in water to kill fish and it flew off me. Tame ruined

try running around in the forest area close to a beach with a thatch foundation until you find a spot you can place it down. start building up your spawn base from there. as soon as you got the basic crafting station and flyers you can move inwards

I think its a little rng, done missions solo without leaving boundary and get between 3 and 10. Doing it with others doesn't seem to make any difference, except everyone gets ele and sigils so there is more on server for boss fight.

Is there a thread for suggestions? The shared outpost missions are a nice idea but in the reality it allows toxic people to interrupt your missions: pulling enemies and bosses down the cliff, makes the boss marksman tp away or just stand there doing nothing. And you have to share sigils with them while you did the whole work

Sigils aren't shared, everyone gets them and you don't get less because you did the mission with others.

It does! Everytime i do it solo i get 10 sigils, if another guy joins, each of us get 5. If he has a tribemember i got just 3 and they 3 and 4. Max count of sigils are 10 as i observed so far

I did gamma and beta solo a couple of times and i always got 10. Many people are sneaky and hide in a corner to get sigils and thats not even the worst case. The worst case is that a random guy jumps in pull or push the enemies off the cliff, makes your dinos follow them or they just dont understand some basic boss mechanics

Pillars dont make the server lag. Structures are optimized like ever before. Only consoles have issues with rendering a large count of structures

Ik it’s not the pillars making the server lag, it’s just the fact that people can put up 1000+ people on one part of the map and claim it to be all theirs.

They have to stand within the mission area to get shared sigils. You can see the border by pressing H on PC. Fact is that last time i started a gamma defense OP, i defend the outpost and they just stand around and got 3+4 and me just 3.

The border shows up just walking into it, we've found its variable exactly how many each gets but overall everyone can get more sigils by joining in and helping. But yes no one likes a leech and they should at least be helping out, even if it's just thinning the thralls out whilst the big hitters there focus the boss.

Anyone else having an issue with a refreshing Ark inventory page where ? My uploaded data is messed up or something so even when I access my inventory, my Dino‘s inventory or even a water tank I get the refreshing Ark inventory for 10 minutes only to fail I have items in upload I can pull out

20/100 might show my uploaded items (like 20 items) the rest it shows blank and has no items but the refreshing page never times out or stop unless I exit the menu wait 4-5 mins it times out and lets me play the game until I access an inventory of anything.

Ok wildcard has a big problem! You get your character deleted, good luck getting it back. You fill out a form, they can’t find the character. Has anybody figured out a way to fix the frequent and reoccurring bug to the crossbows on the new DLC I've been on two different lost worlds 6267 and 6269 and it has happened on both of them then after a couple of shots my crossbow will not load or shoot how the hell are we supposed to tame anything when we can't rely on the equipment this game cheats so much

This is honestly getting ridiculous.

The Reaper Queen on Lost Colony is bugged to the point where taming is basically impossible. She either spawns directly in/next to water or immediately pathfinds and falls into the water, over and over. Once she’s in there, everything turns into a stupid mess and the whole process becomes pure frustration instead of gameplay.

This isn’t a “skill issue” or “do it better” thing, it’s literally the creature’s only spawn being in a spot that doesn’t work. How does that even happen? If a creature has ONE spawn point on the entire map, how can it not be tested to make sure it actually functions?

I’ve spent more time fighting the map and the AI than actually playing ARK. This kills motivation fast and completely destroys the fun. Please fix the spawn location and / or whatever causes her to constantly end up in the water.

WC needs to release the locations of them. Give people 2-3 days to move... then have them blow up sturcutres when they spawn or kill tames in the area when spawning in. Give an easy minute countdown timer for people in the area

Anything is good for island ascention ngl run a carcha down mid to clear first part or u can use maeguana heck u can even use a quetz (yes on official setting)

Can even do no dinos tek suit shoty in boss room

If u are solo id suggest using theriz as ossis will get kinds clapped by dragon fire and using theriz = being able to use cakes

Tek suit good shoty and 500 600 shells is my go to for overseer (if u are solo use theriz i dont recommend shoty strat as solo)

I doubt they'll do that. They released the map with the areas buildable and fully aware they would get built on. PVE maps are pillar/mega base nightmares, they knew this.

WC likely didn't want to make so much of the map unbuildable, as after Gen1 mission, they seem to try to avoid it.

Thats entirely on the people running the server. They can be as strict or as loose as they want. Theres many thousands of servers, theres bound to be one out there ran in a satisfactory way. Just have to keep searching and not get too invested till you do.

The cost/benefit to playing on unofficial is overwhelmingly positive. Server performance alone is a huge sell, not having to war for space, immediate moderation of problem people. Mileage varies of course, but on official you'll get basically zero. Official may as well be lawless.

I think there's a problem with waypoints!
I play on the official server, in single player, and on an unofficial server with friends.
The number of waypoints is limited and shared across all games. On Astreos, for example, I'm forced to use the same locations in every game; I no longer have pins to set. It would be nice if waypoints could be distinguished for each individual game. If I want to mark a player's base on the unofficial server, I have to delete a resource's spot on the official server.

I tried luring a direbear out once but I could not tame it either . Not sure if I wasn’t far enough away from the cave or if once they spawn in a cave they have a flag set so you can’t tame them at all.

Would be nice to tame cave creatures as it’s easier to find traits when they spawn in large numbers.

when there's a base w/ dinos within 250-400m of a defence outpost, it stops spawning. when the tribe logs off the outpost starts spawning again. please decrease this radius on official PVE. There are other defence outpost locations that appear free of bases within a large render that aren't spawning. Defence outposts seem to wait until it can spawn at a specific location , rather than doing a check for other spawnable locs.

People say to make soap but you only get organic poly back. Ive been making egg incubators then demolishing them to get the hard Poly back. What's the best thing to make with organic poly to get hard poly?

I just make soap, the grind that when I need poly.

All structures should reward about half of their resources cost if they are placed and demolished.

So find the thing that uses a lot of Polly and not much of rest

whats also worth it is crafting ghillie pants. it will however only "store" the organic poly in a similar matter to soap so you can grind it again later on if you got excess.
i would just store all the riot etc that can make organic poly and keep it for whne you need poly. otherwise you always lose material. i think maybe cryopods or vaults are otherwise a good investment, always need those anyways

yea i crafted mainly ghillie pants i think due to the BP i have for it and its only like what, cheap fiber 😄 ?
and what i also do is, ALWAYS crack the crystals. sometimes you get shit things like stone tools, those you can right away feed the gachas again. the only things i keep long term are things like fabricated weapons and riot gear (since they can grind to poly - and if they become too many i grind em to craft ghillie )
flak or metal weapons i instantly grind for metal ingots as they dont give poly. will instantly reduce the total amount of crystals to some items you can then store specifically for poly only

Yeah true I have a few ghillie blueprints i can use. I do the ramshackle and primitive crystals right away and straight into the grinder but just wasting loads. Ive honestly got more armour than I could ever use or a squad of 10 haha and have 4 vaults that are always full of plant Y seeds I just drop straight out of the vault and Gachas pick it up but will make ghillie now

yea at one point youre drownin in it 😄 I think i have like 1 or 2 vaults also with riot/flak that have at least 500 or 600 dura that i keep for, like reasons, so i just grind usually all below it up right away, otherwise its endless vaults of items. even if i lose some poly when grinding like riot and thne crafting asc ghillie that i need to re-grind, at some point that usually doesnt matter as i never run out of items to grind when i craft a bunch of tek or w/e anyways^^
i never liked soap, i live on center and oil is somewhat annoying enough to come by, so instead of wasting oil id rather lose some organic poly that i will anyways have way too much of.

spending like what, 10k oil just to craft soap so i can preserve 2k or so more organic poly is just not worth it to me, ghillie is just mainly fiber you can farm in seconds

Does anyone else have this issue I saw that outpost may cause it I just got to the point where I could try a cache and went well I won and got all my loot went home and logged off after that my lost colony world would crash on load up all other worlds are fine. I heard about someone telling that there is a way to get 10 every time. But do alot of missions. Its like random.
I get 10 sometimes when doing with bunch of people. I get 1 when doing solo.
Try to test the thing with pick up key solo then call all, nothing. We get 3 sigil each.
Also doing the same mission twice(bcs of rollback), nothing changed and we get one time 6 sigils, second time 2 sigils.

Well 4 spots but it usually spawns on 1 or the other one. So max 2. For example today nobody reported any def mission done. So most probably there was no mission spawned at all. Or somebody was just greedy but almost the whole server cooperates fairly.

Bring a carchar/giga to get to the end. Throw out 10 to 12 boss rexs at the spot you can throw them out and pick up your Carchar/giga. use the 12 rexs to kill the overseer easy. Bring cactus broth and some med brews

Zero. You use a carcha to run through the tek cave, cryo it, then kill overseer with a shotgun while you fly in a tek suit.

You'll need about 2k shells with a 298% shotgun, less on unofficial proportional to your damage. A stack of ele is more than enough jet pack fuel. Stay airborne the entire fight. Bring 2 tek suits, food, water soups, and health brews Occasionally cull the drones. They do little damage, but it adds up over time. Avoid all direct attacks from the boss forms.

The timer that pops up is only to get through the tek cave. You have no time limit for overseer itself, dont let the clock psych you out. Tames are an unnecessary complication.

Lot of chaos on the ground. Sometimes you can pick it up from them, sometimes the mob won't let you.

You can also bring shoulder pet to stash what you dont use if you bring too much.

Its just annoying. You can do it. But if you're solo like the OP, its not recommended to take unnecessary risks. Every second he fools with minions is a second longer the boss takes. All of us are one DC or ping spike from disaster, so I dont like to lollygag from the task at hand just to save a couple ele.

Its just ele, you get tons on Ex or astraeos. Its not important.

The LC loots in general need a buff. The map exclusives saddle blueprints are ludicrously rare.

WildCard probably toned it way down from the usual out of fear of how potent the cursed gear mechanic is.

Can't be manually repaired, but passively regenerates durability over time and has two trait slots instead of the usual one.

And testing has shown at least some of those traits are stackable.

Its possible, but theyre on separate tables. You can get saddle bps from cave and city crates. The cursed gear is only from missions as far I know.

They just need better rates. Be done with the map before you ever get one.

We've already seen from plenty of other aspects of LC that they're trying hard to crack down on how overpowered players and tames are now, such as them (poorly) adding scaling damage resistance to the boss based on how many players are present and Neophytes being highly resistant to damage from tames.

I believe that to be the case for the Tek Spear, but ARK 2 means a hard reset on power creep and progression for everyone, also meaning they have an opportunity to fix bugs that they can't fix in ASE/ASA without causing significant setbacks to players, such as how stupidly easy it is to bypass the mutation limit.

I honestly think all the bosses are too easy for just how crazy strong of creatures you can get. We need a higher difficulty that can actually stand up to capped lines.
