Beginners was the worst offender. Capped at 44, dinos max spawn is 30 (+30 after tame when leveling), they even say "once established you can choose to exit into the rest of the official ark network!" as if a level 44 with no dinos above 100 are gonna be able to compete lol

That would never work. Any overlapping time Zones would immediately get sick of not being able to play because everyone else is logged in.

8-10 players per tribe is more than enough to make up for a lot of the issues.

I don't think that's the case, nor would be the concern unless you're trying to shove 20+ people into 6 slots. In which case, it's called small tribes, not condensed megas. If you gave people 8-10 slots, they would just do what they do now, and account share, but instead of sharing 6 accounts, they'd share on 8-10. It's the same issue, and still punishes those who play legit.

I’m convinced they have a game, but it’s probably in a raw state. They needed money fast, so it made sense to release ASA. Because the lore is finished, they know people will engage, it’s feature complete (they just need to rebalance and improve flawed parts of the game) etc. If it works, they will have funds for another year, so they can finish Ark 2.

Well, you are not really funding Ark 2 directly (That would be the case if they had opened some kind of crowdfunding or pre-purchase). You would be buying ASA, to play ASA. Wouldn't make sense to buy ASA to fund Ark 2. BUT they will definitely use the ASA money to help funding Ark 2, but that's a corporate strategy. You as a consumer you should buy ASA because you want to play ASA.

The ASA raptor even has a tag on the screenshot, saying it's in-game in photo mode. Besides that, a few of the WC developers confirmed that. Difference between Ark 2 and ASA is the following:

ASA is a next generation original Ark experience that is completely redoing all exisiting DLC's plus at least one confirmed exclusive DLC for ASA. The exclusive one is the only paid DLC, all existing will be including in base game and updated as they get them done.

Ark 2 is an all new experience sequel to first Ark in a more primitive design and a souls-like combat. Much more can be read from the pins in here

They will both be supported so people have a choice between an original Ark experience and Ark 2 new experience.

saturday and friday sound good for the playerbase but the devs wont want that, they'll almost for sure have a day one patch and so if the game releases friday they'll have to work through the weekend to fix the initial bugs that people find. So thursday makes the most sense from a patching standpoint but wednesday also works and is better for patching before the weekend since it gives them more time

they test on their own setups, they can use a lot of different setups, but they can't anticipate all issues possible

Also, it's an early-access. It is supposed to have lots of updates in that phase

Playtesting on a handful of closed environments/systems =/= opening to the public to see what breaks. 100,000+ people playing a game all in different ways will find bugs and exploits a lot quicker than 20 or so QA people
