Tek is in ARK 2. Jeremy talks too much, as always, in their interview with Gareth Coker(the interview is meant to be about music but he gave so many hints at everything else) and Tek is 100% in the game.
In ARK 1 it is just uuh shiny future technology(Jeremy calls it a joke), but he says that in ARK 2 "Tek is going to feel like a threat. You can't quite get a handle on it. Something beyond human understanding. It's magical but not necessarily in a good way."

I am completely fine with Ark II being delayed, as long as WildCard release a game that is actually finished and playable on release.

My main hopes for Ark II are that it will be more primitive than the first game. Don't get me wrong I think tek stuff is cool but loading into Ark for the first time expecting a primitive dinosaur survival experience and just seeing tek gates and transmitter beams and stuff everywhere kind of ruins it lmao
