Skins are only bad when they provide an advantage, like they would (and some do) in Ark, sadly. Yes but the engine handles assets differently then unreal 4 did. And for sure I’d expect WC to update their assets to take full advantage of UE5 and I wouldn’t have expected the fella that made that video to have spent the time making new assets. If WC does decide to do ark in UE5 it could look absolutely amazing but still have all the glitches that it has currently. Unless of course they find a way to change the coding. But hey one step at a time.

My personal issue with nothing but better lighting and performance is none of newer UE5 engine games look that exciting. They're mostly all riding on the "UE5 looks amazing" hype wave. That, plus I'm getting older. Shiny don't impress much these days.

Graphics are a nice little addition if going for immersion and/or realism (which Ark isn't striving for by some great effort in either regard and never has), but what's under the hood is the real meat and potatoes, so to speak

And the coding gymnastics they've done to keep the game running all these years is nothing short of fantastic I'd say 😂
