But you also have to remember, ascension cutscenes are for lore-purposes.
Lore wise, the beautiful shots that we got on Aberration wont happen again (in theory) cause that was the ARK's was of launching survivors to a new ARK/Planet.
We are no longer on ARK's, and if you've noticed, we've never gotten a portal cutscene like The-Island's-Aberration's since.

Building takes a long time in ARK, and i doubt that'll change in ARK-2.
Fortnite's building is literally instant, which is why people use them.
