(when before it crashed i had everything) and theres weird hexagons on the side of my screen. and every 1 minute and a half or so it crashes again. now im stuck with no stuff no saddle for dino and a game that crashes every minute despite having average ping (this is on official)

equus is not bad but maewing like that other guy said. for ocean travel icthysaurus is really good, and argentivis might seem hard but are easy to tame early game. find one around level 20-30 while riding on a tame with a BUNCH of health, then keep shootings tranqs at it

or you can make a trap by placing 3 dino gates frames, craft 3 gates, place them close to eachother only leaving a little space in between just enough so you can fit. at the one at the end place one gate. lure the argy into the gate frames, then when its in run out from the SIDE where i said “leave just enough room so you can squeeze through” and quickly place another gate in the middle and front. when its trapped keep tranqing it until its knocked, after its knocked put remove the middle gate and you should be good. if you want something visual there are lots of tutorials on youtube

Yesterday I was playing with a friend on his world, then he added some needed mods to the server and now I can't join the server. We downloaded the same mods(over steam workshop) days before but we not used all. It takes me 15 minutes to connect short loading screen then gray screen i can open chat and console (its blank and cant send messages) 2-3 minutes gray screen I got a kick back to the menu with message lost connection and on his console no errors, some numbers shown on his console when i join

Then a level 90 turtle attacked us and did 3 damage

As long as you're careful, not really- it's almost always due to a specific reason. running out of disk space, power cutting while saving, etc. it's however easy to do and there was also that one time where an update completely wiped all xbox savefiles..... but you don't have the ability to back up on xbox so being careful is all you can really do

epic has the same as other platforms. make sure you change the difficulty (see the pins) and the story maps(except genesis) have a lower average then the free maps

Question for any of you with beacon experience, trying to code in 50/50 r-variants on Valg. pretty much every map otherwise this works on fine (following beacon's alpha raptor tutorial), but if i do AddNPC it just doesnt show up, if i do ReplaceNPC, it just completely kills the spawn for everything, not just the direwolf or bear. Is Valg broken or am i possibly messing up this code somewhere?

You're not telling it to spawn anything, so it's not replacing anything. in my testing it didn't affect creatures in different groups (aberrant raptors shouldn't have been able to spawn because I didn't have exact match on.)
Regardless though, it's a wonky fucking config. it just will not work half the time

Yeah, that's what I'm working with, grabbing their spawn entries on the spawn map and adding the splits where they naturally spawn. hence why I'm thinking valg may be broken when it comes to ini-ing creatures in. Couldn't even get just adding in griffins to chalk hills to work with a code that used to get them all over the place. Hm.. unfortunate :/ Thanks for your help tho!

npcreplacements and random replacements, it's very hit or miss, not sure what the pattern is. x creatures don't work but featherlights do, vultures don't work on island but do on valg, random replacements in ext desert dome works for allos but not reapers.. 🤷‍♀️

i think because instead of sliding the diffculty setting you go all the way down and click maximum difficulty it say something like "sets max dino lv to 150 regardless of map" but im not 100% if sliding the difficulty bar to 1.0 makes them cap at 150 on the island
