A PC can be used instead of an Xbox if you have a PC strong enough. I've used a controller and keyboard using the PC and I tend to enjoy the combo. I would use it more, but I'm playing multiplayer and don't need the keyboard that often.

Im having trouble understanding weapon quality when it comes to gathering resources. Im in my single player world and wanted to scale melee damage a bit fro fun, but im worries that this is going to throw my gathering rate.

Ok, I have a problem with the server I'm hosting thru gportal, whenever I enable S+ (The only mod I am using) All engrams are able to be unlocked, and I do not want that, for example when I am playing on the island I only want the island engrams to be unlocked and so on. I can confirm something in S+ is triggering it since I have troubleshot with enabling and disabling the mod (When its disabled they say unlock on scorched earth or whatever and when its enabled they can be unlocked), I have tried mindwiping and still the engrams are available, is there perhaps a setting or ini in need to enter to change this, if anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it

fortitude increases your resistance to heat and cold, torpor, diseases and rex roars. theres a slider that increases how much fortitude you get per level.

you can also try making a ton of med brews (20 tintoberries and 2 narcotics), they heal you and while youre healing, you dont lose hp to the heat and cold

putting everything into weight and speed is what people often like to do. i dont pump too much into speed myself
otters and feroxes help with the heat and cold if theyre on your shoulder, the latter isnt on the island though.

Is that a bug or feature? I noticed an alpha indefinitely eating my corpse once and it just ignored everything else. (I don’t always keep the damage down, just when exploring and expect to die a lot)

its a feature but it has an unintended side effect of them getting stuck on corpses. alphas cant eat corpses because otherwise they would instantly heal to full from the smallest of creatures (carnivores heal a ton of hp from eating corpses, often to full)

Yeah. Gen2 is easier cause you can fly up in exosuit and stay out of range. Don't forget to turn on tame tracker so you can find it to feed it the next element

yes, there is an event currently active. put -ActiveEvent=Summer in the commandline to get the colorful dinos. I think it can also go in gameusersettings under serversettings

make sure you dino wipe to get the colors to spawn.

assuming that you crashed, if the game crashes before a save, it wont save the dino being downloaded but it will save the dino being removed from the ark data. basically, your dino is deleted.
