I created a server recently. I port forwarded the ports: 27015, 7777, 7778, and 27020 and added the server through the steam client. It even says on the server viewer that the server is open with 0/10 players on the correct map. But whenever I try to join I get the "unable to query server info" error message. dungbeetles give LOTS of fertilizer, depending on the size of the feces, small gives one, medium gives two, and large gives three fertilizer, get a phiomia, theyre the fertilizing machine as they can poop so much it wont matter if you gather other dinos poo, just force feed a tamed phiomia stimberries and now you have just piles upon piles of crap

you can use a toilet and it gives a lot more fertilizer than any amount of dungbeetles can ever produce in a really small amount of time.

and set your dungbeetles on wander, they will fertilize things much quicker than a compost bin

However you can’t see food for passive tames, and either way for the first feed it always goes a lot longer than the rest, so I can only guess that the first interval happens regardless of food (or food drains a lot slower for it, but that doesn’t make as much sense imo)

There's not much you can do if the bronto is almost dead without cheating. You could try to aggro it and lead the raptor away, but it is unlikely to work well.

Nope, tek dinos tame the same as their regular counterparts, just may require a bit more tranqs/food/narcotics to tame if they are above typical level cap. (Since tek dinos get a 20% level boost over what they would have been if they were a regular variant, making 180 the cap for tek Dino’s on official where it’s 150 for most things.)

Only exception is voidwyrm, which doesn’t have tek in the name but is essentially a tek wyvern. They have a unique type of passive tame mechanic. But tek variants of vanilla dinos tame the same.

All dinos of the same species start with the same base stats at level one. Each additional level is used to raise one stat. Just like after you tame it. Except for wild ones, the levels are applied randomly.

So a high level means a chance at great stats… but since it’s random, you may get unlucky and find one whose levels have been wasted on stats you don’t care about for that dino. Like a rex with super high oxygen and food and crap melee.

And for all wild dinos, levels in movement speed are wasted as their speed doesn’t change. So you may get a 150 that has 50 levels in movement speed.

That’s why you need to tame a lot of high levels to get some with one or two good stats each, and then breed those together to get a breeding pair with all your best stats.

The reason I ask is because I see that my Tek Griffin's health pool caps out at 140.7k (164-0) but my other Tek Griffin (which is a higher level) has a cap of 128k (168-0). Since 168 is greater than 164, wouldn't it make sense for the second dino's health pool to be higher?

If you have awesome spyglass, then look at the number of levels in the stat, instead of the actual health. For example, one may have 32 levels in health, while the other may have 40. But the math still works out. All the levels together, the base wild levels + the additional levels from the taming bonus, will add up to its level.

And awesome spyglass (and dino storage soul orbs too!) make this easier to keep track of, since levels you apply after taming will be kept separate from the base levels. So for example if it started with 40 levels in health, and since then you put 5 more, it will show up in Awesome Spyglass or in the soul orb as having 40/5 levels in health.

That base stat, the 40 or 36 or whatever in health (and similar numbers for each other stat), is the one it has a chance of passing on to offspring. The base stat when it got up from being tamed. It’s a random roll for each stat, if they’ll get the mother’s or the father’s, but it will be one of those two possible numbers… or 2 levels higher than one of the parents’ stat, if it got a mutation in that specific stat.

The only exception is torpor, that raises with the level, every dino of that species, at the same level, will have the same torpor.

let it grab you, once your in its claws do not try to escape. it'll drink bloodpacks from your inventory (otherwise it will drink you) and after 10 packs, it'll drop you. repeat until its tamed

by default, it has around 50% taming effectiveness, to increase it, feed it small dinos that it can pick up like daeodons and moschops. you'll need several to get it to 100%
