Depends. For non-dedi, if you're willing to put up with teleporting (some maps are worse than others) and general instability. For dedicated, it depends how new you are to server hosting. Port forwarding is the most complex bit

Island is one of the most stable. Only caves will teleport (and the area around the volcano crater. there's an instakill area behind one part of it so be careful round there)

The game should really make a small patch where remaining on top of an animal (a wild animal. Getting stuck on top of it and remaining in the falling animation) will automatically kick you off the animal if it remains this way for too long. I literally got stuck on the back of a Scorpion for the whole taming session and had to stand the whole way of the taming...it feels like it's just not necessary and too much of a pain

So, this is going to get tricky

If you tame a creature with a mutation that mutation will likely be passed to the offspring

Mutations can randomly be given to a offspring through breeding

Mutations can be given to any different Stat

And if you don't know how to breed then you need to tame two of the same creature of opposite gender. Then you need to enable breeding wait for the egg to hatch or for the gestation process to finish, feed the baby (force feeding is recomended) and wait for it to grow up.

Just started a new run on Fjordur and getting back into the game, with the mod Gaia 2, the game feels very weird and I find myself losing everything at a moment's notice. The game is barely fun but I am enticed to continue with the massive content additions. I don't know whether to forego this mod, and unfortunately the good content, but avoid the suffering, or to persevere and hopefully enjoy more content. From anyone's experience, which is more fun for the long run?

Check the wiki for the most common spawn locations. Keep in mind, lower level is worse but easier to tame. You want to use camo/cactus broth while sneaking or crawling. It will not notice you and you can feed it from full fish nets. Try bigger fish nets for faster and more effective taming.

Yes it is possible to teleport on PS4 singleplayer

You have 2 options.

1. Use the portal room (plenty of guides on YouTube to its location)

2. Use the teleporter radial which is triggered by holding square if I am not mistaken.

Keep in mind if you have single setting enabled, teleporting via the radial wheel is disabled on single player.

2 days ago installed ark freshly and had my graphics not load in correctly, so my map was also blurry. Solved this by launching ark with "reset total conversion" setting. And it fixed it, but after yesterday's update the same problem came back and this time it didn't get fixed with the setting. I've also checked the integrity of files twice

in my ini files they list off ALLLLLL the babies even those from mods.
you can change the spawn rate of each creature right there because its already listed for you.
I love love LOOOVVEE this feature.
what Id love to see is this feature implimented into the actual game with adult creatures from ARK..
I dont care if you add in my modded creatures or not. could care less.
I feel I should be able to find these creatures and get rid of, lessen, or increase them the same way I do with this babies mod I have.
I shouldnt have to purchase a server host website, and THEN be able to adjust through THEIR ini...
I ALSO should be able to do all of this in SINGLE PLAYER..
in fact.. its my dang server, I should be allowed to do everything an online server does and more.. since no one else is going to care, i should have ruling over what I own. I paid for the game, I should get the full extent of the game.
with out that, you are basically telling people who cant handle people... such as myself.. that they should be forced to play with people in order to get what they want...
in reality.. you are only helping server host websites such as gportal and nitrado whatever get revenue because those players STILL wont get what they want online with out actually controlling the server themselves..
sooo.. I think its only fair to get what you want with what you paid for. Im not breaking the game. i've been dedicated to this one game... um... I forget how many years now. but I have almost 4k hours on it.. seems ok to me.

Level doesn’t matter. You need to know the amount of base points in melee as well as the amount of points you personally distributed into melee.

However! I would assume it’s boosted.

no it only affects the character you completed the boss on (ie a single player character is a different character than one on a server)

I'm not entirely sure why it does that I've had it happen too quite a few times

It stopped on it's own after a while

Make sure you set your headset as your default Windows audio device

Back up your save and try a rollback. Could be a bad shutdown corrupted your save file

Corrupted saves happen relatively often with ark for some reason

I've had it happen like 4 times or so

If you press shift + tab on steam, it comes up with your friendslist, just invite them from there.

you have to be in game for the menu to come up though
