alright people long winded question. Official Pve solo player, tamed an alpha forest and ice titan for the gamma king titan multiple times but no luck on killing any of the kings. i use high value flak, custom food, and med brews for the meteors he summons, but it's still hit or miss whether i end up dying to the meteors. when i do end up dying to the meteors, it's pretty much game over at that point because when i respawn and head to the arena again he ''returns to center'' and by that time is fully healed. ( very stupid mechanic if you ask me.). anyway, unless i have more people am i just wasting my time? you'd think 2 alpha titans would be enough to kill ATLEAST the gamma... input or advice would be appreciated.

You're gonna wanna whole team. Titans are strong but you're gonna want some mate boosted gigas and outputs of consistent healing Daedons and Owls. Yuty also helps with buffing. I'd also consider teaming up with other tribes since it's PVE.

Thanks for the input. i was meaning to put this in there but was already long winded, i had a buddy during one attempt and managed to actaully kill it with just the 2 alpha titans. 1 person on each titan, so i cant help but think a full boss roster wouldnt be necessary+tons of gigas. sadly after we killed him someone swooped in and stole the gamma head so we could do the beta... which turned my friend off from trying it again since we had attempted so many times before

the meteors are inconsistant imo. i stock up on high value armor and med brews, sometimes i last till the king titan is close to 3/4 way dead, then some times it one shots me. soloing the king titan is such a task on official no less lmao

Early game storage bins are your best friend as you'll wanna stalk up, take your time with the game. Early game Parasaurs are great for the turret ability (Alerts of danger nearby) and for the ability to have other Dino's run away like Raptors.
Dodo's are fun to mass tame, eggs are good nourishment, make early kibble and easy meat and hide source.
I'd live by a water source to start off with an early crop farm as well.

Water is often dangerous. It's advisable to be cautious. The crocodile you could've outrun if it went on land. Normal raptors can be outran at 112% movement speed, so you could level that stat up.

with lost island, you just need to kill them and run in

Lost island is best imo. It's possible with to do it with an argy and a carrying a tribemate with a whip, but it's quite dangerous so you should probably try to kill them all

You can't do it in one go, there's a cool down and it may end up starving itself, especially without primal crystal.

Hey does anyone know if you also have to tame the fish/leeches on The Island as well to get the Master Zoologist achievement? Because I know for a fact I’ve tamed every single animal on the island, I’ve even gone through Dododex multiple times to confirm so, and the only things I haven’t tamed that are tameable are the fish and leeches. But if your starting out on the island and working your way up through the story maps you can’t tame them as you have to learn the fish basket on Gen2.

Which to my knowledge using the fish basket is the only way to tame them.

You don't NEED them, but if a tame doesn't register towards the achievement, which is not that rare, it would take an unrealistic amount of time to find out which one failed.

Bought my gf the Genesis season pass for PC so she could play Gen 2 with me. She can join Gen 1 servers, but when she tries to join Gen 2 servers it says she doesn't own the DLC. I checked in her library and also on the store page, and both show the season pass as already purchased and in library. I know it's already installed because she can join Genesis 1 without any issues. She can also join single player Genesis 2 without any problems. And I know it's not a server issue, because I'm currently on the Gen 2 server she's trying to join. Been looking for a fix for hours without any luck.

yeah if you were on like say an Ankylo harvesting metal and you had whistled the Argy to follow you around while you were riding the anky, then the argy is following the anky and not you. So if you drop it off and then fly away, the bird will go back to wherever the anky was dropped off.

depending on the amount of magmasaurs, you can go in completely fine with just a tanky rex to kill magmas

you just have to not be hit by a projectile

so none will swarm you. because they'll just respawn

that's how i've always done magmas - done the original magmasaur cave using bloodstalkers and jacked up shotties. you murder all of them, grab the eggs, and then teleport out or continue on depending on if the volcano is gonna blow and/or if you managed to score high enough level ones

They also look cooler

A good reason to tame them is to breed them and kill the baby’s so you can get the resources

Okay so, i have a yuty and 49 rexes ready to fight tek cave and overseer...but im a solo player and have a 5 minute gap to fit 50 tames into a small gate with lag spikes entering in and out of the gate...how do i efficently get at least over 30 tames inside the gate before it shutting...i only average 13 tames per try which is annoying. All the tames would get stuck on the gate causing a blockage or just jumps in lava

Theris are kinda fast. Only way I can think around it is what I did with my rexes since they were faster than normal (speed kills on the descent -- literally): I'd try weighing them down about 2/3rds of the way with stone to manage their walking better.

It's gonna slow you down though.
