This is a tough one, really hoping someone has expertise.
Trying to place an S+ Glass Hollow Wedge, and it's fighting me and doesn't want to place. I can't figure out what it's expecting. There are normal wedges to the left and right of it, and ceiling pieces on the outside, so afaik it has structures available for snapping.
It could be that supposting structure snap points are slightly off, due to ARK being weird sometimes with orientation and such. But I want a little more info about required snap points for the wedge before I start pulling up more structures willy nilly.
Fwiw, this is a cliff plat, and I have another one that's identical where this didn't happen.

TEK is the futuristic technology that is in Ark. it can be acquired after defeating the bosses, as you will unlock things called TekGrams and element.

Element is used to power tek things. For structures like a tek teleported or replicator, a tek generator must be used, and the fuel is element. For things like the tek armour and handheld weapons, just have the element in your inventory.

Tekgrams, like mentioned before are just engrams for tek, all tek things must be crafted in a tek replicator, which is basically a tek smithy/fabricator. You can craft a replicator in a supply drop or obelisk.

There are tons of things that are TEK, and all of them are really cool. So keep on killing bosses to have that element and you should be fine. If you have any more questions feel free to ask 🙂

Note: you need a shit ton of resources to craft anything tek :/

Snow Owls add a regen buff that stays on targets for as long as they are running it. So the longer you can run it (stamina) the longer the heals

so i killed a bunch of babies to farm meat and now their bodies are in a pile and the server is at 255 ping trying to calculate all the physics. is there a command to get rid of all corpses on server? it's so laggy that the server is almost paused and the decay timer moves so slowly. it's moved 2 minutes in 48 hours.

i don't know what to do, i can't even take my pickaxe out or ride a dino to eat the bodies.

You can't use dododex to find the melee points after you tame, but the rest of the stats should work. Also @outer forge it would be useful to provide more information before asking for the amount of mutations you should have. If your dinosaur only has 5 points in health after tame, 20 mutations would not be enough

That is definitely a thing. A baby can theoretically grab any stat from either of the parents, regardless of how big of a gap there is between the parents' stats or overall levels. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean here.

Completely changes how the game handles stasis

Preventing hibernation fixes resource and dino respawn bugs, and allows buff-based mods (that apply their mods only in specific circumstances) to work, allows the S+ dino finder to work properly, and I do highly recommend running with the launch paramater. But I do have to warn that if you later re-enable hibernation (remove the launch option), it can cause crashes. This seems to be able to be fixed by launching with certain launch params and dinowiping, but I've not run any save like that for an extended amount of time so I can't say if it's 100% effective in the long term or not.
You'll need to add it to the steam launch paramaters- Right click on ark on steam, properties. Add exactly this- Hyphen included- -preventhibernation
It also increases ram usage quite a bit, but is very much worthwhile

Sometimes doing a dino wipe helps. Try cheat DestroyWildDinos and wait for it to repopulate the world. I have to do this semi-regularly as the creatures outside my base walls tend to dwindle over time as they murder each other.

Nah, not really. If you're unlucky you might end up with a couple of nastier creatures in areas you were initially lucky enough to not have spawn, which can be unexpected, but they wouldn't spawn there if they weren't meant to be there in the first place.

Doesn't take that long for it to repopulate, really.

does anyone know of an easy to understand breeding guide for dummies? do females matter more than males. lvls? eeeh

It’s easy. Just tame until you get decent stats, then breed until you get all the desired stats on a single Dino. Then breed that Dino until you have a male and female with matching stats.Then get rid of everything except your matched pair that has the desired stats and breed only those 2 together. This will produce a baby with the exact same level and stats. Keep doing this, getting rid of any males and keeping any females that don’t have mutations and breeding them as well. After awhile you’ll have 1 male and as many females as you want all with matching stats. After you have all your females just breed them with the same male discarding every baby that doesn’t have a desired mutation. Once you get one with a mutation in a desired stat you’ll either replace your male with it, or breed your original male with a mutated female that has your desired stat mutation until you get a male. Then you replace your male and just keep following that process.

I beat alpha dragon with 19 Theri that had 41 health and 36 melee base. Leveled them into health up to 21k and dumped the rest into melee. Gave them each a stack of veggie cakes and a 114 saddle. Last tame was a yuty of course.

Dude good find. So you can breed it until you get a matching female, but after the first breed you’re gonna rack up a ton of mutations on the counter. This is because the counter adds up all the mutations the mother and father have. So when you get a baby to breed it with, the baby is gonna have 520 mutations on the counter as well. Then when you breed both together the next baby will have 1040 mutations. It’ll just keep going up like this.

You can continue to breed it yes. But any baby produced that has 20 or more mutations in matrilineal and patrilineal will no longer gain new mutations. Any mutated stats will still pass down the line though.

If it's not meshing most likely. Ratholes are basically just small caves, and caves are allowed on PvP, which is what I assume you are playing on if you need a rathole.

Steal red gems from roll rats, they drop more and you get more from quakes in blue zone . Gas balls pop out of ground periodically at gas veins, so stand around one and wait. OR go buy them with hexagons on either genesis map
