Been trying to get Vulpite from a Soulwyn, ive watched tutorials, cleared the area, stayed crouching, stayed close but not too close to the Soulwyn while playing the minigame, cryod and uncryod my Veilwyn beforehand, turned companion mode off and back on before starting the minigame and it still always fails. How to normalize the lighting in extra dark areas like Astraeos' swamps and Therokis? Disabling clouds and fog through the usual commands does not affect it.

it is a direct result of the horrible, hacky way wildcard had to implement mods on ps5, since sony really does not support mods or games downloading arbitrary files. it is like a massive piece of mutant save data

• I've been playing on Astraeos for ~1.5 weeks
• I've loved it. I have a basilosaurus with 100k health, an Archelon, and so much more...
  But now, whenever I open the ARK, my game begins loading, the loading screen pauses, I believe I get in for a split second (The screen becomes gray), before the screen goes black and immediately kicks me out of the game.
  It happened once on Ragnorok as well - I have to play there instead of the best ARK map in existence.

Do developers know anything?
Do any other Xbox players have this issue or have had this issue?

So you might be downloading cosmetic mods as you travel around the ark. These don’t show up but take space. You can turn off download cosmetics in settings. As for freeing space go to you mod page, selected installed mods. Select uninstall all mods.

I realize none show but I have had people tell me this worked for them.

Hey we go through this issue constantly on 4 separate ps5’s within our household. So there’s only two issues causing that and I’ll try to explain both real quick. It’s 1 of two. If you’re playing Ark on a ps5 and you are the only player with it on their profile then just uninstall all mods and shut the ps down. Restart ps and hold down power button until the screen goes to the bios screen. Choose clear cache. Even though you don’t see the mods in ark, those pitas are still on the console. Once you clear the cache just restart ark and you’re good to go. Redownload all your mods and rock on. We also learned from mindless hours of what dafuqs that each separate account that has ark on it within the ps all share the folder space. We can have 3 accounts on my ps and we are all limited to 13 mods each. So if you have multiple accounts then remove ark from one and do the power down process. Good luck. Question about Astraeos server issue:

On our Astraeos server, we’re experiencing a recurring login problem. Players can play for hours without any issues, but once they crash, they often have trouble logging back in.

In many cases, they get stuck during login or crash repeatedly when trying to rejoin. The only workaround that seems to help is when an admin teleports or kills the player so they can successfully load back in.

Does anyone know what could be causing this issue, or how we can fix it?

So they would need to enter safe mode on their PlayStations by turning it off and holding the power button till it beeps a second time it'll start in safe mode and one of the options there will be " Clear Cache and Rebuild Database " pick that then clear cache. Hope that helps them out along with the other things I did.

Is a chance WC screwed something up with them. But honestly you should never be accidentally killing them. They lose a certain percentage of HP they go in defence mode. They lose a percentage of HP while in defence mode they enrage and you feed narcotics or preferably bio toxin which will heal it and do torpor. Repeat until tamed if it's in danger of dieing you abort and feed it corpses to heal it back up and try again.

Yeah I’ve learned to feed it corpses, the main issue is getting close to it to feed it, cause it can knock you back so far you miss your window, it’s genuinely the most frustrating tame I’ve tried.

I tried on the back of a baryonyx to Hop off quickly to feed, but it’s incredibly tough. Plus you cannot trap it or move it with a Rhynio….

Get them in defence mode then it's manageable. If you have decent armour it's not too dangerous.

So haven't been able to play astraeos for 2 weeks. It keeps crashing on loading. Took kff all mods(cost me to lose some creatures in dino depot) loaded up and was able to fly between bases i quickly transfered what creatures i could onto another map, tried putting mods back on a little and went back to crashing, but now even without mods it crashes i truly am starting to wonder if my game file got corrupted due to mods. Other maps are fine with mods on and some like lost colony i need mods on the be able to even play portions of it.

Any ideas other than character/save wipe. Id really like to not lose the save as its my original astraeos save file and has been there since astraeos came out. I can quickly get back to where i was is just disapointing and sucks to loose so much progress.

I was very close to pulling my hair out.. I’ll give you a quick guide.

1. Get one full stack of bio toxin, two stacks for safety.
2. Try lure it somewhere with plenty of herbs nearby, but as few aggressive creatures as possible.
3. Use a Rhyniognatha - shoot from the saddle pve, if on PvP you need to stand and shoot it.
   The reason the Rhynio I feel is essential, is if you are on other tames, it’s very hard to dodge the knock back from the roar which causes you to miss feeding it the toxin, the Rhynio can dodge it and you can hop off quick for the feed.
4. Use tek binoculars if you can to monitor its health, carry herbivores to heal it if you mess up.
5. Use a decent shotgun or advanced sniper and always back off whilst it’s in shield stance, the key is backing off to this tame, but not too far as you need to shove toxin in its mouth.

It does a fake roar, you cannot feed it then. But it heals itself whenever it roars. So that is good atleast. Bring atleast 150-200 shotgun shells for margins, I used an ascended fabricated pistol in defence form so as not to over damage it, but this was probably not required.

It’s extremely frustrating, but I perfect kibble tamed a 150 doing this. Also, you absolutely cannot use traps for this tame. He does not enter defence stance if you do.

It’s not bugged, it’s working as intended. It’s just, incredibly difficult to tame this I found. I would say it’s the hardest tame in all of ark, worse than reapers, everything. This was the most infuriating. It seems bugged, but it’s not. It’s all about movement and timing things perfectly. Basically once it’s in shield stance, damage it until it does either a fake roar, or it’s big roar, the big roar is the one you feed it. The slow rumble roar is the fake roar, you need to back the hell off here and shoot it back into defence stance to reset it, it heals itself between every roar. Sometimes to full, sometimes not, so tek binoculars are extremely useful here.

I hated this tame.

Knock back makes this tame as challenging as it is. I tried a baryonx, Thyla and a bison shooting from the saddle, they are not ideal, because it’s hard to escape the knockback from the roar and your window to feed it is about 2 seconds.

So after plenty of testing, I feel it is possible, but very difficult to use anything other than Rhyniognatha. A wyvern could also work, or a griffin. But the Rhynio worked perfectly for me.

Also don’t use narcotics. It’s possible, but bio toxin is best,

It wasn’t bugged for me. But it felt like it. It goes into shield stance if you damage it enough, if you miss the roar, or it does the fake roar you need to damage it again to get it in shield stance then it should roar with some more hits. Worked for me! Annoying if yours is bugged

Hey Server Owners and Admins, i was wondering if you are experiencing something that all my cluster are at the moment.

Are your players having trouble crafting tek items once they unlock them?
Like a red 0 appears on the engram on the engram screen and is like a block.

In the past it wold happen to like 1 player a month and then resolve itself but its everyone player as of the last week.
