Hello everyone,
Since patch 83.24, players have been reporting to me every day that they log in and find their inventory incomplete after the daily server restart. Their equipped gear is also usually gone.
Strangely enough, their player implant is also missing from their inventory!

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this and what can be done about it?

I have already tried the following without success:

• Started the test server and loaded the backup files from before the daily restart and the first backup after the last login.
• Copied the anti-corruption BAK file from the server folder, renamed it, and loaded it onto the test server.

In all scenarios, the character was found to be the same. Incomplete!

On the one hand, it reassures me that it's not just our cluster that's affected, but on the other hand, it's bad that it's not an isolated case.

The biggest problem is that player inventory data is normally written to the save game. Therefore, restoring a save game should load the player's inventory. However, that's not what happens, which is more than a little strange.

Our servers go down for update & restart every day at 3am. Backups are created during the whole day every 4 hours.

Today several servers came up broken, meaning the world has been reset to day 1 with zero players on it. Creating a new char and admin-fly-checking the map confirms the map is empty.

I stopped the server, and applied a backup from the day before. When started, the server is still empty/wiped.

Any1 else havethis issue? How can I possibly resolve this?

I checked the nitrado discord server and someone reported a similar issue last night, helpers there mentioned some mods are crashing and causing data corruption issues due to them not being updated since the lost colony patch

It could be that a recent patch is retriggering those mod crashes and causing theese server issues you all are having

Nitrado also recommended disabling dupe checking in server settings around the time of the astraeos patch iirc, they seem to still be recommending that so tou could start with that if you dont want to remove mods

Okay I was able to resolve this. Yesterday I added "Club Ark" as mod to the servers, not knowing that its a separate map, and not added to existing servers. While that alone should not have any effect, it lead to our existing 4 servers not accepting the savegame anymore, so they appeared wiped/empty.

After removing the mod from all 4 servers, all 4 servers come up complete again, with the most recent savegame working.

I usually use the lightning wyvern or giga options for killing them. Lot safer and easier than bleed critters. You also don't have to worry about missing out on the exp.

In settings General UI there is a setting named "Toggle Extended HUD Info" Setting that to on will make H tuggle between showing extended info instead of it only showing when it is held.

thats completely false, the reason why it takes so long to update is because of how the game was packaged. it needs to unpackage the update and then overwrite your entire exisitng game files.

yes, it is dumbed down for a clear non-developer on a crusade. there are many levels of isolation between user-ring software and crashing your PC. it does not happen.

if hardware is crashing, you either have broken/misconfigured hardware, or broken/misconfigured kernel ring software, ie OS, drivers, antivirus, ect

the sanest explanation i can come up with is you actually have a ryzen 7 7700X CPU, not a radeon 7700 (XT?) GPU. but that would be a pretty weird thing to have in a PC with an older and lowest-end GPU

you definitely do not have two graphics cards in a laptop, since laptops can fit zero graphics cards. you almost certainly have a CPU with an extremely weak integrated GPU for light use (browser ect) and a separate GPU for games and other heavier stuff. probably not an R7 7700 + RTX 3050, because they are rather different age products and that would be a really weird combo, but it is possible. worth checking what you actually have

hrmm, I found a video but it does state that if you dont know the ip/port you might need to ask the owner...im assuming you are on a larger community one you wouldnt maybe be able to get that from them?

joining directly by ip will also do some fucky stuff in ASA, i would not expect it to work

anyway, if you can get the ip/port then in the command box (you access it with tilde ` ) you would type open xxx.xxx.x.xx:pppp with the IP & port

but yeah dunno about the non-dedicated even moreso

the host would need to set up a static lan ip and forward the default server ports to the host machine, at that point they should just run a dedicated server

and hope nondedicated actually uses the default ports

Yoo, im playing on LC official pve rn, and there is a bug with my character where the implant dissappears, this bug makes it so that I cant use any items in my inventory. They dont dissappear, just go invisible and become inaccessible.

Usually to fix this bug i could kill my character (through external means, not implant) and then respawn or possess a thrall and unpossses it.

However as of 30 mins ago I encountered the bug again, this time I think it was triggering by possessing to my thrall. This time it just wont bugde I have killed my character, respawned, possessed a thrall, and transferred. Tried ever way to "rest" my character that I could think of and it does not go away.

Im not sure if this is due to the newest patch making the bug persist like this either, it could be because this has never happened to me prepatch.

Hey, I kicked my tribe mate out of the tribe on official small tribes PvP. I kicked him because he was holding out on all our creatures in cryopods and put the in a tek transmitter. Which only he has the engram for. Then he proceeded to go on about how he is the only one that does stuff. I tame all the tribes creatures and found out base locations. So the kick out was mostly justified. But then my other tribemate got on and was upset I booted the guy. Then I started talking in tribe chat and he wouldn’t respond. Then he started taking down our turrets. This makes me nervous because some of our creatures that tribe has were bought by the booted member. I’m in a bit of a pickle. Any suggestions???

I’m currently transferring a lot of stuff between servers and it’s a real nightmare because of the transfer issues. After spawning, structures often don’t appear so we have to relog to see the base. Spawning on a bed after transfer is also extremely long, sometimes it crashes, and when it doesn’t it can take 10–15 minutes to finally load. This makes moving bases or transferring gear very frustrating.

The only mods we use are Dino Storage, Structures Plus, Awesome Spyglass, and Upgrade Station. But what happens is that whenever I press E or the key bind for my Water Jar when I'm near water, I don't drink it and it doesn't go into my jar. I've validated my files and it keeps saying that 2 things were missing and it replaces them, but when I go into the server we're in (which is Non-Dedicated, I don't know if that helps or not) it'll work for maybe a few minutes then break again. And for the food, It consumes food but my hunger won't go up

That's the last thing in the log files, and then everything above it is standard mods loading, characters connecting etc.

you need to be in water, at least about a meter deep. and "2 things were missing" sounds like you did a file verify? that always happens, it is not an issue. missing files would make the game crash with a very specific error, not magically break water on the server's end. food not going up has to be a config error, though. are you on the latest update or preaquatica?

Posted this message earlier and since I've had a few more things come up. Voice Chat completely isnt working for members of the server. Chat has completely broken for a few people and cant be opened at all. As well as a few people randomly reporting GIGANTIC ping to the point of being unable to even take a step. Would be great to know if this is something caused by the recent update or if the server has coincidentally decided to break itself.

Have you tried changing the cluster IDs so you're no longer linked to the corrupt cloud files?

Cloud is linked to your account server side, so local changes like reinstalling or making a new character won't fix those types of issues unfortunately.

Two things that might fix it, 1. deleate gamme, Remove all files, then Reinstall. 2. Go into console storage > saved data > then delete all data for the game. That seemed to work for a few people. There also is a thing in settings that is called Unblock all Mods. Maybe see if theat is checked

Hopefully someone can help me with this. I currently host an unofficial server on a dedicated machine. After last week's patch, I am experiencing serious rubber banding to the point of the game being unplayable. The server files are up to date, and my buddy has actively played on it since with no issues. I reisntalled the game on my gaming PC, and updated my Nvidia drivers. I joined an official server, experienced no rubber banding. Created a non-dedicated worl on my PC and had no rubber banding. It is only when I play my unoffical server that I have this issue. I could play it before the patch with no issues, but now suddenly I can't. Does anyone have a potential solution?

rubberbanding is caused by poor network connection to the server, or intense server lag. has to be the former if others dont get it

there is probably nothing you can do, assuming it is not in your LAN, and you cant switch ISPs or change routing

The dedicated machine is on the same network. Literally 30 feet away in the hallway. Like I said there were no issues prior to the latest patch when I played for 6+ hours with 0 rubber banding.

I need help, recently ive been playing on a server called Pandora and its a map cluster, when I first loaded it I downloaded all the mods without issue and I was able to play the server, but once I tried re entering the server where no updates were needed my mods says I was entirely out of mod storage when everything was downloaded

My game literally told me my download size was 0 and it wont allow me into the server saying ive completely ran out of mod storage and I dont know what to do at this point and it seems the only that that works is uninstalling all my mods and reinstalling all of them again (which takes about 3 hours) to re enter the server

Hello everyone I'm having constant crashes when I close my inventoryI've gone down to as few as 10 mods and it still happens and I cant determine whyMainly on larger maps like Ragnarok, or extinction, which won't even load unless I severely limit the amount of mods I use, and yet, I have 90+ mods on the island rn and it's been running great, although I'm sure I'll encounter issues eventually with it. I'm trying to use the Paleo mods, dragon's kingdom, that water dragon, slime buddies mod, nountameables, the nothesaurus, and a couple premium mods like sparky, the Edemontontonia, Teraxitititan and the lyvithian, humans asa, and I'd like to fit a few of clays edits in if I can. for the QOL I'm using upgrade station, visual storage, froggymacs kibble station, cybers structures, dino depot, super spyglass, auto engrams, dino painter, cliffans wardrobe/ medieval weapons, custom dino levels, peaceful platforms, cliffans backpacks, as well as about a dozen skin mods that don't get added to my single player runs directly

Any advice would be appreciated 👍Like I said I can fly around the map just fine most of the time, it's the inventory crashing when it closes that's the real issue here

For over two years now, the game has had major translation issues in every language except English: dinosaur names are wrong, parts of the UI and skill tree are untranslated, some elements just show “time” which even breaks the boss timer, and in dinosaur display cases all colors show as common even when the dinos have colors with mutations. These bugs appeared after an update a few months post‑launch and still haven’t been fixed, which is honestly embarrassing.

It’s great that lots of DLC content like ARK: Bob’s Tall Tales has been added to enrich the game and make it more than just a repeat of Evolved, but what players want most is to be able to play properly: no crashes, no lost structures when transferring servers, no crashing while flying over bases with a wyvern or a CombiTek, and no frequent server errors on maps like Astraeos. @heady dawn @carmine lance

1. Log on and off making sure tj exit the game completely. Not just to the main screen.
2. Pick up the baby with a maeguana.
3. Reset the imprint request with the gigaraptor
4. If you have tribemate have them uncryo it or a trusted Alliance member

Only thing you could try is logging on and off. An alliance tribe did this to remove all trees from their base early this week. There an update in 30 minutes or so as well which may reset everything again.

I stood holding the long kneck rifle yesterday for half an hour and it didn't move. I even have the perk that's supposed to increase the self repair, but nothing is self repairing at all

inventory uses a lot of memory. mods use memory. maps use varying amounts of memory. ps5 has very little memory. using too many mods raises the chances of running out of memory upon making an action that causes a spike in memory use, like opening/closing inventory

I don't see how 20 mods is too many, especially as I've run more on the same maps like the center without issues until recently. I've gone down to as few as 5 mods and still experience inventory crashing. I've also noticed it tends to happen when I'm moving.

number of mods does not matter. what the mods do does, and if they are being actively used. how much new visual stuff that has to be loaded (taking up memory) is what matters most. dino mods adding wild spawns, structures or skins you are using, ect

people tend to spawn in on a beach and assume their modstack is safe because it is not crashing instantly, then hoard and build their save to the point it is too big to load

having stuff like visual storage, cyber structures, dino depot can add a ton of memory overhead to a base if you are using all their stuff

tons of new dinos = way more different models and textures roaming the map, those all have to be loaded

park them at your base, and they all get loaded at the same time as the base's stuff

dino depot balls use less memory than leaving a dino out, but if you have 600 podded babies or something.. lol
