so... Ive been breeding Deinonychus and I went to take one of my bad boys for a spin to latch onto, well, everything lol, but for some reason it wont latch to the large fauna. Aight, one thing that could have been done is the permissions to the mods folder has been changed,

one thing your friend can do is write down what mods he/she/it/alien uses, shift+delete the mods folder, then manually make a new folder, make sure naming is correct.

Then open the game and try reinstalling mods.

Yw, when installing mods, it tells you how much free space there is.
It could be that the drive the game is installed really doesn't have that much free space and the other drive is feeling lonely and will need more input.

I say it’s harder because you have potential for a lot of wasted points for example: oxygen.

Hello, i am trying to make a server, im running it on Linux through AMP, i am able to join and everything is set up. Anyone know why cave drops in the center in ascended just don’t appear? I’ve been running them nearly every day for a week, grabbing and dropping the artefacts and spending hours waiting for the drops to respawn and nothing

Most I’ve gotten is one or two red crates from the jump puzzle cave but supposedly people say that the red drop by the artefact is supposed to always be one of the 3 in the cave but I haven’t seen it once

Overall got 3 respawns but for around almost 35 hours of gameplay it’s kind of absurd considering I just want a decent longneck to make taming an ossidon easier before they go when LC releases

Me and my friends have an aberration server hosted through nitrado. It has been working really well for about a month but now it is not letting me join. Both of my other friends can join the server no problem but for some reason I can’t. I am not the one hosting so I can’t restart the server or anything. cloner is a device that, understandably, clones things. transferring is moving stuff between servers. there is no formal trade system, it is entirely reputation based

I'm on scorched earth trying to get an Alpha Deathworm and I've killed plenty of regular Deathworms already. Using the Dino Finder I seen there was finally 2 Alpha Deathworms on my map. As soon as I approached one and it started making it's way to me it disappears. Then the second one sort of same scenario, but it wasn't coming in for attack yet. What's going on with the Deathworms especially the Alpha ones? I'm about to spawn one in just to be fair. I think I earned it.

I'm even having problems with Wyverns. In ASE if a Wyvern was spawned they stayed until they were killed. Now in ASA I'll have a high level Wyvern that I just want to let it be to try to get an egg to spawn and the Wyverns are just despawning randomly.

In order to see other peoples custom cosmetics, the game automatically Downloads them, when you are passing by. To prevent that, set the Option "Disable dynamic download of custom cosmetics" to on. This way you wont see any custom cosmetics, that you havent downloaded yourself, and they wont fill your mod storage to the brim.

Keep in mind the stats on the saddle do not matter, nor the rarity. Purely what it cost to build. So on average ascendant stuff gives more. Y'know how certain blueprints of the same item and rarity require different materials? An asc rex saddle BP might cost 10k hide but another asc rex saddle BP might cost 15k. It's based off mats needed to craft it

When I open mod menu it doesn't show any mods. Is there a way to update without having access to mod menu? When I go to single player it says the mods up to date (doesn't say out of date). I use hotspot but I took my game to update on wifi and it seemed to work. I didn't have a steam update just mod update. I was able to update it but it seems to not work on my hotspot. I was going to go back to where I have wifi access and see if it lets me in. I've never had this issue in the past with hotspot. When I updated the mod I quit while it was joining server expecting it to work but it doesn't. Was having the issue before and after I used wifi to update it.

I think I fixed it. Uninstalled my VPN. When I looked at Curse Forge support it had a lot to do with networking stuff so I was like that may have a reason why its not working. Uninstalled and restarted and now I'm able to get in.

Ive tried pillars ive tried ceilings quarter walls quarter ceilings foundations ive tried getting everything to connect to it and nothing works. pillars will snap to pieces already on the ground but once the track gets elevation nothing will connect ive tried running pillars from the first piece out and supporting each piece leading up to the elevation but even then it says it has no foundational support and still wont let me snap anything to it

So, I have done some extensive testing on this bug, and apparently not all 6000 series AMD users will be able to recreate this. @carmine lance Sorry for the ping but this is a crippling bug and I need it to get some sort of bigger view than a forgotten forums post.

The large storage box, something about it, has a massive issue and it is tied directly to UE5 shader caching, and its interaction with some RDNA2 GPUs, which causes a driver hang so aggressive it can power cycle your system.

Ever since ASA released, there has been an issue with the large storage box where as soon as I enter the range of the floating hud UI for the large storage box it triggers a complete system restart. No BSOD, no CTD, instant power cycle.

My tests have been the following:
I have swapped from TSR upscaling to FSR upscaling,
I have altered post processing effects and other settings,
I have set a power limit on my GPU to attempt to control transient loads
I have tried several different driver versions, all clean DDU installs
I have deleted shader caches.

This bug persisted through several hardware changes, including PSU and RAM.

The only thing that reliably delays this crash from happening is cleaning out the ASA UE5 shader cache. This does not prevent the crash, it only delays the inevitable.

This crash ONLY happens with the large storage box in particular, no other structure in the game I have tested (which has been VERY many) have reproduced this bug, including all of the storage-related structures. The only structure that reproduces this crash is the large storage box.

My best guess is, something about the large storage box's UI in particular, is causing a collapse of the render pipeline and causing a critical GPU driver hang, restarting the system to avoid damage.

Something to note as well is the timing of the crash is inconsistent and is influenced by the number of storage boxes in my proximity. Looking at one single large storage box never causes an issue. But the time between entering the UI radius and a system crash appears to increase exponentially, the more large storage box UIs I am in range of.

Hm, i see. There is the setting "disable dynamic download of custom cosmetics" which is set to off as standard. Setting this to on makes it, that you will not see, and therefore download, custom cosmetics, that you havent downloaded yourself. But this turns off other custom cosmetics for structures and such, too.

You can't use it for that. I don't know what mod you're talking about, but with Omega Storage, the dinos you store there will only appear on that map. Dear developers, would you consider fixing the capsule and the core with an elemental one if you started protecting it. At least for 5 minutes, ideally 10 minutes is better. I am having the same problem on Valguero. The pillars should just snap to the track end but it says the pillar needs support.

I found a workaround. It's annoying but it works. I snapped a foundation to the side of the track that is still touching the ground, then continue a line of foundations under the track until you get close to the track end. Then it will let you snap the pillar. After you run the pillars to the ground, you can pick up the foundations. For the next support, snap a foundation to the last pillar and run them scross the ground again. It doesn't need to line up with the next pillar location just be close enough to register as "support."

But it might be easier to wait for a fix too.

Well, I just realized how I got the foundation to snap to the track on the ground. I had a pillar from the castle, forts and keeps embedded and snapped into the track on the ground. I was experimenting to make it work. But if you can find a way to connect a foundation that methods will work. Sorry it might not work for you. I hope they fix it soon.

no idea what that is supposed to mean, but EOS (epic online services) just handles account login by converting your platform ID into a universal one, and handling related networking. mods (the cause of that error) are distributed via curseforge, has literally nothing to do with EOS

please help my parasaurs hatched triplets in some valguero ruins and whiel i managed to free one the rest are tangled up with an elder in a sad spaghetti mosnter mass what do i do. the elder is higher than the other two but it cannot move. it cant even turn. the other two can turn, but cant move, and when i dismount them, i clip through them instead of hopping off them. i tried relogging and they are still Massed 😭

When you play on your own server, you could install the mod "spawn blocker". With this you can limit how many species of a creature can spawn overall on the map

it is a lot stabler, but performance and to some degree stability is going to depend heavily on your hardware

Can someone help me understand mutation breeding?
My understanding is that you need to only get mutations on the male breeder and replace it as you go
Do the females need to have 0 mutations for this to work right? Meaning I need to breed up a ton of no mutation females before actually starting mutations?

You basically got it there i might add a tip itll be easier to see your mutation if you gather up all the highest stats into a single breeding pair and then start your mute breeding

okay thank you, i messed up and started keeping female mutations and then threw away all the no mutation males i had

so i think i gotta go tame another male rex and get the good stats on a male again

so once u get 20 stacks on the male u just breed a 20 stack female with it, but if its the same mutation it doesnt benefit? like a +20 melee male with a +20 melee female will only result in a +20 baby and not +40, but if i had melee on one and health on the other it would stack?
