i have a question, i have a female (level 213, not tamed from the wild) allo with 2 mutations into melee (and i can see the increased stat percentage) and i'm trying to breed it with one of my "base" allos (no mutations, also not tamed from the wild) to try and get it onto a male allo. but i've been having no luck, with all the babies having significantly lower melee damage % than their parents, not even close to the mother allo's melee damage %... i'm pretty sure i'm fundamentally misunderstanding something, but what could it possibly be?

Seems to be more an issue with rag and Val. A solid 80% of my server removed mods and deleted them. Still crashing 1.3 million times more than before they started “fixing” crashes. A lot of opening on my rag server will be highly likely as these issues have completely caused a lot of players on my server to quit Ark.

Hi, am trying to travel to a different map on a server cluster(nitrado), but I'm unable to select an already built bed in the base.
Using a normal spawn area it starts the download and as some time passes I get a connection timeout and throws me back to main menu.

Tried to join the map I want to travel to a few times with the same result, connection timeout.
I am able to select previous map and my character to return to the map I originated.
I am playing on Steam, I've reset my network adapter, rebooted both router and modem, am on 100MB fiber.
What else am I able to try to troubleshoot connection issues? I've tried pinging the target IP through terminal, all good there and server view shows people playing.

Same here. After the last updates, performance dropped a lot — constant stuttering and random freezes. And with the Fear Ascended mod issue on PS5, the situation got even worse.
Solo players on PlayStation are at risk of losing their dinos and bases because we can’t get into the servers at all. Base decay isn't being refreshed since PS5 solo players can’t log in. It’s becoming impossible to keep up with the game like this. Really hope the devs are aware and roll out a fix urgently, because it’s rough right now.

I completely agree. I’m also on PS5 and I’ve had to step away from the servers the last few days because I just can’t play as is. It took me 30 min to move my character 800m in the game because I was stuttering and freezing so bad.
It makes the game feel really defeating to players experiencing these problems

It's runs quite smooth with that disabled and still weirdly loads my base skin half the time but I also remove grass, fog, and clouds.

ya.. it may have all the "extra" skins that its downloaded over time.. you could go to mods page>installed mods>uninstall ALL.. then manually download the ones you want to use.. be sure the dynamic download flag is flipped to 'ON' since they smart brained it there n made ON = OFF and OFF = ON 😐 following these steps should free up space and allow you to use more than just 1 mod 🙂

A patch was released yesterday on Ark Ascended that was supposed to fix the Fear Ascended mod issue on PS5, but unfortunately the problem is still there.
Even with plenty of free storage, the game still says there isn’t enough space to install the mod.

I really don’t understand why it’s so difficult for the developers to fix this issue. We all know they’ve been aware of it for days, yet there’s been no official communication or transparency with the PS5 player community.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I truly believe Wildcard could at least acknowledge the situation and try to take some action to fix it — this has already gone too far.

When the event ends on the 12th, many players who can’t connect due to the Fear Ascended mod issue will lose their bases because they can’t refresh the decay timers.

This is just a frustrated message from someone who has been a fan of ARK since 2016, but I expected more consideration from the team toward the affected part of the community.

A temporary workaround for event cosmetics not showing up is to craft something that costs bones and depending on how your inventory notifications are setup, you should see the icons of various cosmetics pop up on the side, you should then be able to see the missing cosmetics/apply them.

Please note that fast traveling (probably logging out, etc) removes the cosmetics again and you will have to craft something else to bring them back. Hope this helps.

I had an issue where the game said I didn’t have enough storage space to install the Fear Ascended mod, even though I had no other mods installed and plenty of free space. Interestingly, I could install any other mod without problems — only Fear Ascended failed.

After trying everything (restoring licenses, deleting mods, disabling dynamic downloads, restarting the console, etc.) and nothing worked, I finally decided to restore my PS5 to factory settings. Once the reset was complete, I reinstalled Ark, disabled dynamic downloads again, and then the Fear Ascended mod finally installed and connected successfully.

I’m not sure if this will work for everyone, but in my case, restoring the console completely solved the issue.

i doubt they will.. have you tried restoring the ark license on your console? if you scroll up in this channel you will see the issue you are facing has been brought up several times.. most people were able to fix this by simply restoring the ark license.. others like rodrigo had to take extreme measures by factory defaulting their ps5 and starting over

there are two different possible issues with save data. the first is a fresh install/not used mods before, and cant create mod storage due to insufficient space. ensure >80GB is free.
second is seemingly corrupted mod storage. i have seen that fixed by some combination of the following:

• restore the game licenses
• wipe the game savefiles
• use a different account (effectively same as wiping saves)
• reinstall the game

Hi everyone, I’m asking for help. I bought ARK Ascended in April 2025 and now I own all the DLCs, but recently, after just a few minutes of playing (around 30–40 minutes), I get this error:

"Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running. Exiting..."

Here is my setup:

Proton GE 10-25 (latest)
RX 9070 XT Sapphire Pulse 16 GB
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
1 TB SSD
32 GB RAM

The game has been running on Epic settings since I bought it, with over 80 FPS constant. I could play very long sessions for several hours, the longest being 8 hours without any crash and smooth performance (this was on The Center).

My settings:

Anti-aliasing / upscaler: Unreal
Resolution scale: 100% (2560x1440)
Frame generation: FSR
Full Epic settings
Menu transitions: Off
Singleplayer
(The Island only) r.VolumetricCloud 0

I ran some benchmarks / VRAM usage analysis, and it was… horrifying.
The game starts using only 12 GB of VRAM, then it keeps increasing continuously. Once it reaches 15.9 GB, FPS drops drastically, the inventory (and other UI) lags extremely, and VRAM shoots up to 16 GB at insane speed, then the game crashes.
I thought the frame generation might be causing this, but it didn’t help. I also tried multiple launch commands, nothing works. Even reducing graphics quality to High or Medium does not help.
I really don’t understand, The game was working fine before!!
The only strange thing is that there are three maps where this never happens:

Ragnarok
Astraeos
Valguero

I’d really appreciate help fixing this issue, I want to finish the Halloween event before it ends.

I personally would avoid single player settings.
As for breeding I would recommend checking out some settings vids. I know Phlinger has put out several for both ASE and ASA. I've used his as a basis for mine, just tweaked them a bit.(Though I cannot remember if his were 100% imprint or not, but you could probably work off of them).

Yo so I don't know if they ever said anything about this but why is Bob's tall tales still broken on Xbox? And is there a fix?
If you don't know, pretty much the game doesn't give you anything of the DLC items. Only a hand full of the ingrams are actually there (only a few western bits) and none of the cosmetics are available. Sometimes things are there then next day the Ingram in gone.

Uninstalling don't work, I've done it a million times. It's like the game doesn't know I own it, yet in Microsoft it says owned and the game has stopped advertising it in the menu as if I own it, yet no content..

yes, it will in fact restrict it. ps5 does not allow games to just use whatever storage they want. it allocates a single 30GB block of what is basically save data for mods, and you need significantly more than 30GB free before it allows that

The current game when installed needs specific space requirements for virtual memory and mods and many many temporary files = it is indeed a Sony issue, and if you do not think it is, then I recomend you get on the Sony discord and get with the experts there - they will back up what Fluffdragon has said concerning Sony issues and storage issues

There are only so many times you can be told something and refuse to accept the response before you soon get ignored. Ark is not nor never was targeted at the Sony platform - It's primary platform was PC and then it was opened up to X-box and so on, multi-platform games each have there own unique issues that are brought about by the "Game Owners" vs the "Platform Owners" - Snow runner for example was developed and targetted at the PS and X-box platform as well as the mobile platforms - ARK ISN'T... It was pigeon holed into the multi-platform market to try and increase profits. Just look at the massive issue during the initial release of Ark ASA and how each platform had different issues if you don't belive me. It is a SONY ISSUE. refusing to believe that doesn't mean it isn't correct

for Valguero aberration spawn issues on single player: in case anyone ends up going down that path as well, editing spawn containers works for most containers (confirmed with either container specific spawn tests, or dino specific spawns with 100+ gigas/carchas spawned during testing), but definitely not for Val_DinoSpawnEntries_DrakeTrench_C. Adding multipliers to spawns for DinoSpawnEntriesRockDrake_C or AB_DinoSpawnEntries_XenoQueens_C (also tested VAL_DinoSpawnEntries_XenoQueens_C just in case) also had no result. Tested the mechanics by manually spawning a nameless, which triggered more, eventually a King Reaper, but nothing else after that.

also reapers do show on the tracker (at least using dino finder), under both reaper queen and subterranean reaper king). Still, both on 0 after multiple wipes.

interestingly enough, if you do spawn rock drakes within the trench and leave them there they will lay eggs, and spread throughout the area. No new one will ever spawn, but the rest of their mechanics works. this isolates the issue to the spawns only, and given the ineffectiveness of the multiplier on the specific container, have to assume that container is not at all working on single player under select conditions

Hey guys!! I found a solution!! Ask anyone who has everything working to send you two folders from the Steam\steamapps\common\ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\ShooterGame\ directory. I can’t get Cosmo to spawn at all on Single Player in Valguero, and Rock drakes are weird. They only spawn in a few, but they lay eggs everywhere (makes egg stealing a breeze, though, lol). I've been playing ASE in single-player mode again for the past few days and couldn't delete my survivor characters (because there were too many). Even the AI ​​and my own searches online were unsuccessful. It says on Xbox you can't delete any characters without PC access, but I found a workaround. You have to spawn the character you want to delete on a map, then die, and on the respawn screen, overwrite it with another survivor via download. Hi! I don't think I've ever spoken in here before but I need help.
My tribey was kicked from our tribe, I've added her back several times but every time she logs in it kicks her again.
I've checked to see that no one in the party has her blocked, I've force kicked her and added her back, she has reinstalled the game and even FACTORY RESET her Xbox. Nothing works.
Why does she keep getting kicked? Is this happening to anyone else and how did you fix it?! Please 😭
