You can combine stats. It just takes a varied amount of time as it will usually randomly select the stats from the parents

One technique I discovered is, if you come across a group of zomdodos and mausers fighting, walk up to each of the zomdodos and press E to claim them, then whistle them all passive. THEN you can kill and harvest the mausers in peace.

Bonus points: you end up with an army of zomdodos.

The native biome loot buff just requires that you enter a biome that matches the drakeling you have on you at the time.

If you have a summer drakeling and enter a desert biome on Scorched earth (which are super common) you will get the buff and it will last for 3 hours when you leave that biome so long as you dont transfer or die.

However if you bring a winter drakeling to scorched earth i dont think there is anywhere on the map you can get the biome buff, so it pays to have different ones with you if you really want that buff on any map (aberration excluded)

I setup my own cluster on my PC about 1 day ago, and I transferred from Ragnarok to abberation no problem, but when I tried to access ANY terminal at all I'd get stuck in "Refreshing Ark Inventory" even when I died lost everything still had this issue, restarted the server and still precised and even stayed in the screen once long enough that it kicked me from the screen saying timeout error :/

"clear the cache" is a bizarre term people throw around and cant explain. there is no cache.

inventory loading issues are between your client, internet, and the server's performance, unless you have some really weird modded shit going on

if the server is too slow/overloaded, it just gives up on sending some data to players. massive inventories/items with way too much data on them can also cause errors

Since today I'm trying to join back on the nemesis server but there's one issue, for some reason in ASA servers don't seem to appear for me: nothing in official, nothing in unofficial and nothing in non-dedicated. In the main menu go over to your ark game.. hit the options button on your controller.. reactivate your license.. this latest patch flipped it to deactivate and that's why the console is reporting "not enough space".. the system simply doesn't have the proper write permissions

that is how lumen surface cache works, but you have to really badly mess up the settings for it to be that obvious, or have bizarre config. what resolution and framerate are you playing at, roughly, and what level of shadow and global illumination?

I'm on 1440 res. Have tried all settings from low to epic and they all are bad. Now since the November 1st update I can't change anything aside from what graphic preset I choose or everything goes to epic settings so right now I am on low graphic preset settings.

There's a specific small base on my ext that when rendered spike the server ping into the 800s. And when looked at spikes the entire server to 1100+ ping. You can prove it by just leaving render and coming back.

Unrendered: 200 ping. Rendered 800-1100 ping server wide.

This issue on PS5 with the Fear Ascended mod is getting ridiculous. The game keeps saying there isn’t enough storage to install it, even though I have plenty of free space. Every other mod installs and works normally — only Fear Ascended fails.
I’ve tried everything: deleted all mods, restarted the console, disabled dynamic downloads, freed up storage… nothing works.
This is preventing players from joining the event servers.
Please, we urgently need a fix for this.
It’s not normal to release an event and have part of the community unable to play for days.

Update : the issue was cryopoted dinos in my upload / after i downloaded them and stored them in my base i can now travel between the maps without "connection lost"
*must be something strange with longstored dinos in pods + uploading them

Nope fear ascended has worked fine since day one for me on PS5. Official, Unofficial and Single player all work perfectly.

Glad it’s working for you, but many PS5 players — including me — are having this issue specifically with the Fear Ascended mod.
It’s showing a “not enough storage” error even with plenty of space available and no other mods installed.

It’s not just on one server type either — officials, unofficials, and even after clearing mods and restarting. So it looks like the problem isn’t affecting everyone equally, but it’s definitely affecting a lot of PS5 users.

Hope the devs can look into it soon. 🙏

The last two times it seems like ark has doubled in size so i cant load a game bc i l.iterally have 20 gigabytes. check in steam if you have a slow drive as a game library (can also see this in disk usage in taskmanager) it might use the slow drive to download/patch with if you don't have enough space on the game drive

so, my island is being sunset.. this prob has nothing to do with that.. while moving my stuff i noticed i have 322(slot cap/black bag) available inventory slots to move things.. ie resources ect.. well my buddy only has 303 available inventory slots.. ok, so we go through all the things that could be the cause.. skins armor q-bar.. drakeling actually counts as 1.. disable "give default survivor items" you name it we covered it.. we thought perhaps wt stat or character level.. nada.. so we reach out to other players and some were willing to jump down this rabbit hole.. char level 121 with 322 - char level 134 with 303 - char level 158(x2) with 303 - char level 159 with 322 - 174 with 303 - 175 with 322.. so we see 2 values here emerging and its obviously not tied to level or stats of your character.. so my question here is, why are they different?

PS5 users having issues with "mod storage".. go to your ark icon on ps5 and click options button > restore license.. the latest patch that changed mod storage removed the license and the game cant access mod storage resulting in "not enough space" errors

I had the same issue. Make sure your installed mods screen has nothing in it with uninstall all mods. Then install all your mods including fear again. Now shut game and delete your cloud save data. Open game should work now. I haven't had a issue since.

PC/WINDOWS ASA- Have not been able to get past launch window for several days.
I own it, and several DLC. It gave me error for astraeos update for a day, tried repairing and resetting, nothing worked.
Waited till today and uninstalled and deleted all of its data to reinstall, and it still will not get past the opening screen.
Ive gone through everything I can on Ark's website...

ya thats odd.. can try this.. open steam app.. top left select Steam>Settings>Downloads and in that tab click on "clear download cache".. that will clear cache and restart the steam app.. might require you to log in again(i just click my avatar and im in).. see if that does anything.. definitely cant hurt

the path he directed you to is the mods folder.. removing it will give you a clean slate.. there could be a corrupted file in there
