Also for people getting the EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION code or similar crashes, I think my issue was one or more modded skins. I'm in a pure vanilla file and it's fine but I did have to go through and remove all mods including the ones in the mod file folder

I had a lot of skin mods like the Viking Buildings, Castle Craft, etc. I don't have the full list since some of them were downloaded because I played with others and I didn't actually use them (although I'm in single player now). Currently have all skin mods, even paid ones uninstalled (don't delete your mod preferences folder though because it will make you repurchase them).

Tbh it might just be best to take screenshots of what you've got that you want to keep and then just delete the mods folder and reinstall ones you really want

I fully deleted my save but that's because I was only just starting out and it's easy enough to just rebuild my little bob hut and get a new Parasaur. For now it seems fine. I did a fly around for a while in creative mode to see if I could trigger it again, but so far nothing. That said it seems to be somewhat random anyway.

your graphics driver is very outdated and not compatible with ASA, but that wont cause data loss. a corrupted save also will not load, it just crashes instantly. sounds like you have mod issues..

575 is the highest nvidia driver for PikaOS but no 32 bit drivers which is needed for Steam, Game runs fine and never had issues until what ever updates happened today. game runs but everything stored in modded structures are gone aka dinos etc and most of the structures I built walls, foundations, etc

sounds like a botched mod update or some conflict with a structure mod. there is really no way for corruption to be that extensive and still be able to actually load the save

corruption also wont target specific stuff

usually one of the savefiles will corrupt and either the game wont load, or it rolls back/wipes that save, so you can lose player profile, tribes, or the whole world save, but not individual parts of those

are you familiar with how to perform a full rollback of the save?

i have seen a few people mention connection issues with curseforge, so stuff may be screaming in the background

Yeah. That seems to be a thing. I harvested a bear. Crash. Didn't think anything of it since the server crashes all the time anyway. Re-harvested the bear since there was a rollback, crash.

They have so much to fix with the Elderclaw.
#1 - Bred seeds cause the server to crash when you harvest
#2 - The "near totem" buff is only up 1/3rd of the time even if you are on top of the totem
#3 - Respawns are one every half day at best

#2 makes it so you can't even stack the buff high enough to go Big Bear and make corpse blossoms

Hi, i need help.
Every time I try to join the loading takes extremely long. During this time, from the perspective of other players, my character wakes up on the server and immediately falls asleep again.

When my character “sleeps,” I technically join the server, but my camera is stuck inside the character’s body and nothing around me is loaded — no dinos, no structures. Only the GUI is visible. Shortly after, I receive a Connection Timeout.

I have tried disconnecting in different areas of the map, but the problem persists. The only exception is if another player is nearby, which gives a small chance that I properly spawn.

I have tried everything:

Reinstalled ARK twice, reinstalled Steam

Updated all components, including graphics drivers

Disabled firewall / antivirus

Tried VPN, restarted Wi-Fi, forwarded ports
…but the issue has continued for 6 days.

the only bosses they have any advantage on are ones that do heavy fire damage

if you have lost colony you can also turn seeds into rare flowers 50 at a time (passively over time) with spring drakelings, they don't even need to be on your shoulder

We figured it out, Battleeye was having issues, so we ran the server without Battle eye and I launched it with no Battle eye launcher. It ran just fine, no issues.

I was having this. If you're playing with mods, uninstall all of them. Remove them from the folder. Redownload and slowly activate each one. I can't be sure what the cause of mine was but I have a suspicion it was one of the skin mods that I didn't buy but it was automatically downloaded from playing with others. Because I didn't buy it, it never updated and I couldn't easily uninstall it without removing the files myself.

I'm getting back to you following my connection problem on the Ragnarock and Extinction maps, which I couldn't join on unofficial servers... I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my game TWICE while deleting all the game files from my PC, without success. This evening, I also tested from my secondary account (Steam), but I also tried connecting to these two maps from my two Steam accounts on official servers, also without success, while the maps are indeed installed and playable solo. I've been waiting for months for a potential update that could resolve this problem, or for someone to help me... please help me, I would really like to be able to join these maps on my server... for clarification, I tested with my two Steam accounts, on official and unofficial servers, but also from several different computers and networks...

there is really no relation between those things, as far as memory use is concerned. it is by far the commonest cause of people logging out and being unable to log back in, especially on overbuilt servers or with mods. if you have custom cosmetic automatic download enabled, disable it and uninstall all mods

Please look into the freezing and rubberbanding associated to having cosmetics enabled. When you first log into a map and try to move it rubberbands. When first opening inventory after logging into a map it freezes for a good few seconds. Been this way for ages and we've been holding onto hope for a fix but it feels like its never coming.
Please also make whitelist url ini for all cosmetics again so we don't need manually put new ones in

So that settings makes no difference to my issue.
That setting determines how fast a mod that you dont have, downloads when you render it.
Can spawn on an empty map on unofficial and single player and still have the same issue.

I am playing on an unofficial server, we have mods on it, and they recently clustered a Valg map to the server to move to it, so we are moving all our stuff to it, but the moment we do, it crashes the server, it doesn't seem to matter what it is, or how much if it we take, it just seems to crash

How much space does to say you have free on the join screen for the server? Some servers run a large amount of mods and causes tonnes of issues for xbox and playstation. Series x should be good for a lot of it, but mods can be small when added to a server and as the modders add stuff they get bigger ans bigger, to the point where it can become unplayable for some consoles. If ya trying to join multiple different servers, you'll possibly fill your mod storage up. As fluff said, ya may have to many.

You can always turn down the graphic effects, to be sure. Your GPU software may have a way to limit frame rates, and turning on vsync may help too

they are spawning in the trench or some other spot that has defined nest locations, and not a modded variant with different egg-laying mechanics? the way it works is they check for an empty nest site within a small distance when exiting stasis ("rendered"), with a 45m cooldown. if you are impatiently checking right after they spawn, there wont be anything

okay so I'm trying to change settings cause for some reason imprinting is going up slower than I can possibly actually do the imprint it's only going up 5 percent when the growth goes up by 10 and according to the wiki this in the game.ini files in ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\ would let me change that, but it doesn't exist in the file, and if I add it in manually it just is deleted when I try to load my game up

You don’t. Always keep one side 0/0, otherwise you will prevent mutations after a certain amount. To continue mutating just keep all your females clean (no mutations at all) and keep breeding your mutated male with them. If you get a mutation on a female baby, mate it with a clean, no mutated male to get a male with that new mutation

Don’t worry about the numbers other than that the females you breed with need to have no mutations at all. Say you mate mutated male with 10 clean females, you get a new mutation in the stat you want on a female. Get your very original male that has no mutations and mate them until you get the new mutation on a baby male. That baby male then becomes your new main male if that makes sense. Then mate that new main male with your 10 clean females again

I think the stats are something like when both sides are less than 20/20 you have something like a 7.5% chance to get mutation. When one side gets to 20/20 that chance halves. Then if both sides get to 20/20, I believe you can’t mutate anymore, hence you always leave your females that you breed with, with no mutations

No, you can still mutate and get the mutations, always just mate a mutated male with clean females. If you start trying to get mutations on the female side you will stop getting mutations eventually. Your female breeders need to have no mutations at all. The only reason you should mate a mutated female is with a clean, non-mutated male, to transfer the mutated stat to a male baby

I don’t really understand the 20/20 thing and to be honest it just adds confusion in my opinion. I just know that after 20 mutations on one side, your chance halves. Just always stick to the rule, mutated male + clean females forever, never change your female breeders. Or mutated female + clean male to transfer a stat. But never mate mutated + mutated.

Clearing ARK Cache on PlayStation

no. they are individual programs. ycruncher or occt for the stresstest. memtest86 has to be run off a usb stick. you can use windows memory diagnostic for a quick but much less comprehensive test, it will find severe memory issues
