Basiliosaurus is immune to them or mosa which isn't immune but massive damage in a large radius means you can kill them before they can stun it. Just let them float over to you and start chomping.

I have ark se on xbox one and ark sa on xbox x (i think thats names of consoles). I can not transfer maps properly on either of them.

For example. I'll go to obelisk on the island, upload survivor, back out to main screen, select scorched (or any map) click download survivor. I get my character no problem. Soon as I do steps to go back to the island none of my stuff base dinos storage weapons etc are mine it's like they belong to someone else. Same happens on any map. I can admin cheat to own them again but it's a pain to do when just want to play across maps in single player without issues.

Please can anyone tell me how to fix it or what I'm doing wrong.

If you run into a ‘black screen’ upon joining a server, be it Astraeos or not, do the following;

• Restart your PS5, if you close app it’ll crash your PS.

• Once logged back in, go straight to settings/accounts/other/restore license

• Click on ASA, and restore.

• Then you can start the game, load into Single-player, then your official server. Or you can restart to be sure, and then do the SP method, then official.

this has worked for me and others as a fix, for now, but it doesn’t mean it’ll work all the time or instantly (try a few times).

Quick troubleshooting question.
So I can get into the official astreaos absolutely fine. My partner however can not. This has been an ongoing issue for weeks, and we hoped one of the updates may have fixed it but it’s still happening ( he bought it the day after it launched!)
Now in single player it’s fine he can load the map. But he can not get into the map on a server ( unofficial and tried multiple different unofficial servers all the same issue) . He can’t transfer, and can’t even load in to create a new character, it just crashed the game.
we have tried on 2x ps5, on both our usernames, I can get in on both, he can’t.
It basically loads in then instantly crashes. He has reinstalled the map on his psn, it’s not the game itself as it works for me. So re downloading the game wouldn’t be a fix.

Anyone have any idea why he can not get onto the map?

As it’s a bit of slap that he has paid for it and can’t use it. And apart from the black screen issue that was supposedly resolved on console, we are not sure what it is and tried everything we can think of. ( the psn black screen fix is not the answer either lol tried it many times and nothing)

Thing is, WC didn't want ASA on the series s. Microsoft told them to optimize it, or they wouldn't allow WC to release the game on xbox.

Only reason anyone on xbox is able to play ASA on the S and X is cause of Microsoft. Otherwise, we'd be the only console unable to enjoy the game at all.

These crashing problems mostly starting happening when Abberation was released. I couldn't do much on Abb without crashing so much. Then Astraeos came out. Didn't have to many issues until the DDoS attacks. Now I have constant crashing issues and I'm on the Island. Can't load up Astraeos. Can't stay logged in on Abberation or even Extinction.

I can't afford to buy an X or a better computer right now. Not going to go into details about it. I just can't.

I seem to have a phantom Bronto egg in my gigaraptor's inventory. I put two in at the same time, they both incubated to 0%. I was only able to hatch one, the other is stuck in the egg. I've tried relogging, but since the egg is 100% incubated, I can't remove it. The "Hatch" button just does not work.

hello, that's not how maximum difficulty works. it just means the max level cap is 150, not that ALL the dinos that spawn will be 150. keep in mind some maps like the island have naturally lower level spawns even on max difficulty

that sort of crash in a DX11 program usually means the actual GPU hardware is failing, but that can be caused by driver issues, if not commonly

DX12 gives software a lot more freedom to break the graphics driver

The issue with what you're saying is that you're only considering these three components. The 4070 Ti alone cost me €1100 when I bought it. If you add the case, motherboard, Wi-Fi card, fans, etc., the total goes up to €2500.

if you are getting a whole PC crash with that error, you have severe hardware failure of some sort, probably CPU or RAM corruption. that would also cause a bogus OOM error for ark

Does the water have to be a specific temperature or something? I had a megalodon tamed and it just died immediately. It really depends on what you’re looking for. Farcry 5 has an amazing story mode and it’s also co op so you can play with one other person while progressing through the campaign. It’s also on game pass. If you want a good multiplayer with both pvp and pve, sea of thieves is good if you and 3 other people put the time into it. I know this is a ongoing issue. My friend can not upload anything to transfer maps. He keeps getting refresh inventory, this is something ark broke again…. So now we just transfer maps without uploading anything and also making sure not to take to much with you. Taking to much with you also causes it to do that 🙈

Quick troubleshooting question.
So I can get into the official astreaos absolutely fine. My partner however can not. This has been an ongoing issue for weeks, and we hoped one of the updates may have fixed it but it’s still happening ( he bought it the day after it launched!)
Now in single player it’s fine he can load the map. But he can not get into the map on a server ( unofficial and tried multiple different unofficial servers all the same issue) . He can’t transfer, and can’t even load in to create a new character, it just crashed the game.
we have tried on 2x ps5, on both our usernames, I can get in on both, he can’t.
It basically loads in then instantly crashes. He has reinstalled the map on his psn, it’s not the game itself as it works for me. So re downloading the game wouldn’t be a fix.

Anyone have any idea why he can not get onto the map?

As it’s a bit of slap that he has paid for it and can’t use it. And apart from the black screen issue that was supposedly resolved on console, we are not sure what it is and tried everything we can think of. ( the psn black screen fix, single player then straight to server both tried multiple times and do not work )

Yes, the only S creatures that specifically require kibble other than their vanilla counterparts are s-maewing and the s-deinonychus (which is usually just an egg steal). The rest have the same taming methods as normal.

I'm getting this weird problem that happens after a few minutes of play. Camera movement starts to judder. I've played around with all settings - DLSS, Motion Blur, Screen Resolution... everything I can adjust I've adjusted. I've updated GC, used NVidia app to optimise. Nothing seems to fix it and I'm at a loss as to what's causing it. Restarting the game doesn't fix it but restarting PC does. then a few mins later it happens again. Anyone have any ideas??

Well I can tell you that your settings are indeed jacked through the moon. Normal Raptor will come out with about 250-400’melee and would only get to maybe. 800-1000

Every time I have an update, it has to PATCH the update and the estimated time is 45 minutes. I have an m.2 SSD that is properly configured and a crazy CPU that is very new. I have no issues with any other game or tasks. This has been happening with every update for the last 3 or 4 updates. I have verified game files, cleared download cache, ensure AHCI is enabled in my BIOS, and done everything that the internet suggest. Every night I have a few hours to play and if there is an update (which is every day or second day) I am forced to sit here looking at a loading bar on my new computer for no reason. Can you PLEASE solve this problem, it is on Ark's end, many other reports of it online.

the cache being small is just because its more full. your drive changes the cache size when you have more or less free space. so it being almost full (it may even appear as full when steam is patching not sure) you'll have near the lowest amount of cache.

A new bug or special feature? I killed a rex on Lava Island/The Center with a Giga that had just fought a Pyro - I think the rex was still burning. Since then the Giga has been farming wood, thatch, coal! Especially with coal is nice - but it has too little weight for wood ;). Freezing in cryo, unpacking doesn't help. What helped: porting (teleport mod), packing, porting again, unpacking - no more wood.

I was doing some tests with weapon traits today. What is the big overall difference between Lifedrinking (Melee Trait) and Shielding (Melee Trait)? One heals you as you attack, the other shields you as you attack, so both of them technically give health. Shielding doesn't have things give you knockback, yet your armor still gets damaged through the shield so you will eventually lose your armor and die. If your armor couldn't get damaged through the shield, it would theoretically be able to contend with Lifedrinking, but from what I've seen, it seems like Lifedrinking is just inherently better than Shielding. Has anyone else seen anything that would make Shielding be useful or in a different niche than Lifedrinking?

GPU ("D3D Device") froze ("hung"). can be caused by GPU itself failing, other hardware issues, driver/feature compatibility issues, or nonsensical commands by a game not caught by the driver. unfortunately it is pretty vague

in terms of ark it is commonly either hardware failing or the game and DLSS having a fistfight instead of functioning

if you get a range of other error messages including D3D device removed, or out of memory exceptions, it is probably hardware failure

A few of the people on my cluster are having a new issue just popped up recently. If we transfer to another map on our cluster when we get to the other map and choose a bed to spawn at it then switches over to create a character , and the only way past this is to go back to main menu join the server then it lets us download our character and spawn in a bed .Why is this just now happening and anyone else having same issue?
