I would suggest trying a drop down. So like for example on extinction when the terminals refuse to load sometimes leaving render and coming back fixes it. It varies on if you need to leave render of just the terminal spawn or if you need to leave way further because it's spawning inability is different than actual materials such as rocks trees etc. So maybe use it like a terminal render and try to fly absolutely out of the goddamn Galaxy 😅🫡

sounds like you have an old pc with a small SSD and big hard drive. ark cannot be installed on a hard drive, it is 1-2% the speed the game needs to function

You can’t put more Video RAM onto a graphics card. It’s needed for textures amongst other things. If you don’t have enough then there are delays while your PC has to load in more graphics data from disk. The more you can hold on the graphics card, the better.

AMD cards tend to have more video RAM. I don’t know why nvidia are so stingy with that on their cards.

More video RAM won’t magically get you more performance. But what it does do is not hold back the graphics chip on your card. Stops it having to wait as much for data to be available.

Any fix for PS5 player? Problem. Render time loading in to game is about 3 mins. It loads every little texture one piece at a time. It was never like this before. Typical render in time was about 30 seconds.

The other trick ive seen listed for xbox users is to load up the game in single player mode -- whichever map you are currently stuck in. Turn off clouds and fog in that single player map and then hop out and try and join your multiplayer map. That seems to work for some people as well, tho, some have to do it 2x

Xbox Series S struggles for RAM. It has 11GB of low bandwidth RAM. PS5 and Series X have 16GB of faster RAM.

But that’s shared with graphics, operating system, etc.

PCs typically have 16GB RAM with usually at least 8GB more for graphics.

That’s why consoles struggle when people pile on the mods.

i was getting this when trying to mount my maeguana, i instead used a rhynio and no longer timing out. Not sure what else is causing this tho, but so far trying to mount my maeguana causes it for me

relog just means close singleplayer or exit the server. I don't think the server needs to be restarted after don't remember

Sometimes when you load to initial splash screen, you need to hit back then go back in as Bobs can be moody. So if you see 4 cards, click back and forward until you see only 3 cards (Join, Create, Mod List)

ASA requires internet access to use bobs and the fantastic tames as the game needs to communicate with the platform (for you steam) which also means that if the platform is having issues it can stop working.

I don't have any duplicates. And my single player world isn't that old. I've been having issues since the Astraeos DLC map released. It was manageable in the beginning where I barely crashed. But then it progressively got worse and now that they updated today I crash almost instantly when I open my inventory or I craft any items (including vanilla items).

Astreos is unplayable for xbox x. I duplicated the issue my friend is having on my sons xbox x today. I fresh installed ark, including astreos, and it dashboards u everytime u "load in" to a server. I duplicated it 4x in a row. Then i uninstalled the astreos addon from under the "manage ark" option on the xbox and was able to load right in... 3x in a row. All other maps play fine.

Astreos or the cosmetics that comes with it are the problem - at least for xbox x.

This was all done after todays patch. So, something is still broken, just fyi. 💜

Yes there are structure skins i believe.

Some have found loading astreos in SP and turning off clouds and fog works...sometimes. But, clearly something is wrong if i was able to duplicate the issue immediately with a fresh game install.

Yeah I'm on fresh install, vanilla and even if I turn off fog, cloud, grass, water makes no difference. Seems to mostly occur if I go into my inventory with the random off crash other times

it is cloud streaming. you are basically renting a PC and streaming video of it's gameplay to you. how playable it is depends on your internet speed and latency

it is not at all cost-effective long-term, and tends to have reliability (and availability) issues
