Best way to tame oasisaurs is a lightning wyv on its back and using lightning attack. The oasisaur doesn't take elemental damage like rock golem

Park on its back and just shoot lightning before the vultures get to the tame your reviving. Then my other suggestion would be try to figure out mobile turrets that can be on oasisaurs back. If not. Then idk. Better weapon maybe. It is 100% possible to tame them. It's not an overspawn

not enough VRAM is available (or allowed for the game to use) to fully load textures, the map is a common victim since it is not loaded until you open it. how much VRAM do you have, or what GPU model?

that is pretty important stuff you should have memorized, but you can find the hardware models in task manager (or any real spec/sensor suite software like hwinfo64) and the driver version in your graphic driver's control panel under something like "about" or "system"

you can up the amount of VRAM the game uses safely, then. it seems to be tuned for 8GB GPUs for safety. run the command r.streaming.poolsize xx with xx being an amount of megabytes. 9000 should be safe and sufficient. adjust it up if needed. go too high and you can get extremely severe performance issues if VRAM runs out

ok, did that.. next step is to wipe your graphics driver and reinstall it. get DDU (display driver uninstaller) from wagnardsoft. looks sus, but it is very legit and trusted, recommended by nvidia even. then get the latest driver from the nvidia driver download page. run DDU, remove all traces of the current driver, then install the new driver

that will rule out any weird corruption or configuration silliness with the driver. if it is still busted, something has probably gone wrong with the actual GPU

is there a way to put in a game.ini setting that will override the current default for a dino spawn rate? I would like to offset the spawn rate for giga and tek giga to see if i could have them actually spawn once in a while on my server. i have yet to see one of either - just coorupted gigas. I know that killing everything in the perimeter of the snow biome will give me a chance for one of them to spawn but after repeated wipes of that area with a pack of my rex, i still have yet to have one - even low level one - spawn there

Nvidia have not helped things by scrimping on VRAM. As crazy as it sounds (I owned cards with 64MB VRAM), 8GB is just not enough for modern games. Add in the narrow data bus on the 4060 (compared to the 3060) and getting data in and out of VRAM is slower.

The S is already rough but if you’re using larger mods it’s bad about just closing to the dashboard. In single player especially it almost overloads what the Xbox can pull and just closes

That's all officials it seems. They just need to render in. Wait there for a bit, go in and out of render, or try walking "through" the terminal a few times. Sometimes you can still access them even though they're not fully rendered. The terminals in the desert biome seem to render faster.

it is a glitch not an exploit - the glitch causes it to pass through the mesh. If your on a private server and have admin - you might be able to go after it and reclaim it using 'cheat ghost'

it looks to me like the game is trying to push your gpu to hard or the game optimization software might be overclosking your cpu. first question on your vid card - do you run software to help it 'optimize' your game play?

ok, if game manager is trying to handle 'optimization' of the game that is a big problem sometimes. Nvidia and ark don't play well (especially on my 4090 uggg) atm. the game needs to tell the pc what to use for settings and not the nvida game manager's optimization settings

christian - if you can use admin codes for cheats - jsut try 'cheat walk' if your rubberbanding right from the start

there is also a glitch where the character is interfering with the mess offsets and rubberbanding can almost lock you in place

Torpor is increased with damage % so generally higher quality means higher damage % and therefore faster torpor application.

But if you had a journeyman with higher % than a Mastercraft, the journeyman would be better. The quality isn't direct correlation to how good things are.

i have not seen that particular crash in a long time.. which version of ark are you running, and what GPU driver? and are you using any modified ini files, commands, or launch args to change the graphics?
also, the second error is your GPU crashing due to either failure/instability, or receiving extremely bogus instructions from the game. usually also means weird config issues, if not a hardware problem

Question(ish). Extinction server. Sunken Forest. Technically Secluded Lake I think? (I don't remember ase having 2 lakes there). I managed to get the lake on the lower lvl. Someone else managed to get the upper lvl lake(I honestly hadn't realized it was there until later). I haven't seen the dude since first week when he kited stuff to me 3 separate times. He literally only logs in to refresh timers on his pillars and small box.

My issue is this. He not only pillared his lake(no issue) but also the ramp up there and dropped pillars on the shoreline of the lake where I am. Which keeps me from using chunk of the lake.

Am I just stuck as it is, or would a ticket asking for just a few specific pillars removed go in my favor? I don't have means of contacting him short of dropping a parasaur on his box and hope he doesn't ignore, when logins in to reset times a couple hours before decay.

Not that I have hopes of them responding to the ticket. I've already got one ticket in for a dude who literally forced his pillar/foundation spam right up to the edge of claim that forced me to stop building, and move further in my area. His excuse is apparently, it's the closest he can get to forest cave. That ticket hasn't been touched

In ASA, I get 30-40 fps at a resolution of 1440p (full epic) with drops of up to 5 fps at my base (my palace is huge and created from a large number of custom cosmetics). After the vilkart removed nvidia gen frame, I suffer with such a disgusting fps. At the same time, my graphics card is not loaded by 99% (load is 70-80%) What could be the problem? At the same time, the processor is loaded by 30-40% for each core. The voltage at this load on the graphics card is 150-170W

The house has large glazing with custom cosmetics. When logging on to the server and until the cosmetics are loaded, the fps stays at 30-40, I believe that due to the reflections of these cosmetic glasses, the fps drops so much

Our players on our servers have been dealing with an annoying issue where we try to log out on the east side of extinction city and are unable to log back in without either killing our characters or moving them to the lowest level of the map. We have no idea what the cause is and keep runnning into a stump. If anyone has dealt with or is dealing with this any info would be nice

CPU load will never really reach 100% in a normal game; most games only use one main thread, and a few secondary threads, but performance depends entirely on the speed of the core the main thread is on. think of each core as a different processor. windows thread scheduler with an older Intel CPU also rapidly moves a program around between all your CPU cores to "load balance", so you will not see 100% on any single core
you also cant measure GPU load as just a percentage. the GPU will underclock itself massively it try and keep 90-100% load. the GPU core clockspeed + load percentage is the real load level. at 150-170W (max is 200W) the GPU is definitely 1-2 steps below full speed

4.8ghz is an underclock for a 10700k, though. you should not try to manually overclock any relatively modern processors, they do not use fixed clockspeed and cannot be safely overclocked to a fixed speed

RAM speed and timings are also very important for that generation, and ASA relies heavily on CPU/RAM speed

not really, the issue is running out of memory for loading. if you cant add/allow more memory, you are basically waiting for the game to be adjusted to use less/balance loading differently

extinction seems to use a likely unintended amount of memory at the moment, which causes loading issues

anyone else have a problem with s1r5m8 not collecting more than a few stacks of a resource. I have it set up to where he collects plant Y traps from crop plots and move them to crates but recently its been buggy and he only collects 1 - 4 stacks at a time or none at all

the internet is not a single magic place you plug your computer into, you have a different connection to every site, game, ect. that can go through dozens of other servers with varying connection quality. and the server itself could have lag/connection problems

Guys please help my ASA is completely unplayable whenever it comes to joining pc sessions and servers like elite ark etc. my official works just fine no issues but no matter what server I join on unofficial if it even lets me join, I eventually dashboard because my game crashes and then I'm stuck unable to join any unofficial servers I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the game multiple times with different timeframes in between redownloading and no matter what I get the same problem, have any other xbox players ran into this and were you able to fix it or do I just give up on this game
