i did graphics from highest to lowest it didnt affect that problem but affected my game since it got unplayable (blocky dinos, map not loading etc...)
so graphics should not be the problem, it kept happening on every possible graphic setting there is...

i tracked it down to the file size with the dino finder mod, since when i was staying in a small area and dont go to far so not to many dinos load in at the same time.
every time it went over 10k to 12k dino population on the map ithe problem was happening when i logged out, when it was under 10k dinos on the map everything was fine....
so the problem is the game is not able to load as soon as its over 10k dinos on the map

der dino finder on singleplayer can only see whats in render. so unless those 10k dinos are in render it shouldn't matter anyway unless you disabled hibernation.

this looks like a non-unique but very rare error going back to launch, i have not seen any explanation for it. my best guess would be bugs/weirdness caused by software conflict of some sort (ie, shitty antivirus software) or a strange install. have you already verified the game files?

The way it handles folders has always been terrible and they've never fixed it. Sometimes it just won't show anything except the folders themselves (ingrams and items vanishing) until you toggle it off then on again. No way to fix it that I know of.

so I found out how to make it, you can place down one half wall, connect a door frame to it (it will go down to the same size of a half wall) and then add your door, remove half walls. BUT they need to be connected to a halfwall at all times, but it can be off to the side

Kraken's better dinos basically just adds a LOT of changes to dinos, and makes the annoying seagulls and pegos less annoying (they're still annoying anyway). It is VERY configurable. You can have wild fertilised eggs spawn (which I love stealing), Theres an INI option to be able to use guns/crossbows/bows on all dinos, flyers can walk backwards, every dino has a costume slot, tamed dinos produce more resources, more tek dinos, dinos spawn in random sizes, some different saddles.

It does a horrendous amount of stuff.

For a couple weeks there's now a very noisy background music to the main menu. I've scoured the internet for solutions and got the hints do use "advanced -> "disable loading screen music" = on ", which doesn't change anything. Then I got the hint to disable the video music, but that doesn't work either.

If anyone has an idea on how to fix any of this, I'd be thankful. It's disappointing to see that all the issues are still in the game, may it be Online or SP

That's not what happened, but I'm aware of that issue as well. I was just on Club ARK and after finishing a mission it reset the hexagons to 0 and next time I logged on everything else was gone as well

if you had already left , you will be in upload. i would start where you were before you started the transfer, if it takes you to character select, then hit Esc and log to where you were headed

I want to give an update on this in case anyone else should face the same problem we have.

The problem is the breeding buff you can get from defeating the Roaming version of the King Titan. It applies 1 random world buff - the SAME buffs that we used to get on Genesis 2 in Ase. Well, there used to be a major bug with these buffs that plagued unofficials:

"on many many unofficial servers, there's a glitch where the maewing [breeding] buff causes the breeding timers to go down to 0, creating such a high amount of eggs and newborn dinos so quickly on the map, that the whole thing crashes"

That's EXACTLY what happened last night after the Roaming King Titan was killed. Now we know the cause. But how we remedy it is a problem all unto itself.

Specifically, the buff lowers mating interval by 0.25. Ours is already 0.15, which means it goes down to 0 (aka instant breeding).

My hope is that the old config commands will still work in ASA. Specifically EnableWorldBuffScaling=True. This will cause the buff to apply multiplicatively and not additive. Instead of 0 interval it would be 0.0375. Fast, but not instant...likely in the range of 60ish minutes between intervals. That's my current plan.

I'll report back in the future if this works. If it doesn't work, my next plan of attack is to try DisableWorldBuffs=True

the best you can do is look at your mods and remove unneeded ones.
remove custom cosmetics.
then for prevention, smaller base, not as many dinos out, low amount of skins/cosmetics, dino wipe before exiting,and moving away from your base when you log out (like have a second one that only has a bed and a foundation)

Use a mindwipe tonic to put all your points into crafting skill and also use a focal chili. There are a few calculators to figure out what ingredients you want on the wiki or dododex but having a lot of crafting skill is generally needed to make the custom food more worthwhile than just eating the ingredients themselves

In my experience some creatures are too tall to be recognised by the grinder and are only affected as babies. Gigas are likely one of them

Any else have issues with the Arkitect Structures Remastered mod? I’m on PS5, made some setting changes for single player, started a new game and all the sudden, I can no longer play with mod installed as it crashes immediately. I checked out the discord and it seems he disabled commenting because others were complaining of similar issues

ASR dev closed the discord to comments bc people were being extra hateful to them about crashes. I've never seen a structure mod cause crashes, it's always been a creature mod bc WC changed how animations and blueprints worked

(and for reference, I use ASR, Dwarven Builders, ATJ Structures, Klingers Rustic/Additional/Concrete, and Modern Plaster)

It's not just PS5, we have players on Xbox and Steam having the same issues, and randomly banned from our unofficial server too. Which can't be fixed as myself (owner) and my admin team have also been banned from some of our maps.

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the mod twice, I’ve deactivated all mods except ASR and the game crashed immediately and vice versa, I tried with all my usual mods except ASR and the game worked fine. It’s so weird to because it was quite spontaneous. I started playing again today after a long break, started a new game on the Island with no problems, felt that my XP settings were too high so I quit, adjusted the settings and started a new game again and all of the sudden, I can’t play with ASR mod active anymore. It’s like adjusting my setting triggered the game to break with ASR. Might just try a complete game reinstall to see if that’s fixes the issue.

And any crap directed to Gimi is just uncalled for, he’s created one of the best mods for this game IMO and it’s disappointing that he felt the need to disable comments on the discord

also if you have Xiro Additions, the mod dev hasn't ben able to update the mod since before Ext bc they need a larger SSD for the dev kit, and the dev kit's taking up a TB all by itself
