Have any of you found a resolution for where your control key is not recognized and white boxes appear appear instead for dino actions? I have a ss, but for some reason can't post it here. I've tried looking in the input.ini file, and even tried setting the language in steam startup as some other people have suggested.

E wheel is not working on ARK SE. I got open the wheel but hovering the mouse on an option or clicking it does nothing. the only way to make selections is to press wasd while in the wheel to select but that only works for directly up down and left right not diagonals

I have restarted my game, pc, internet, and the server yet every time I try to join my friend's non-dedicated server it just says "Attempting to join a game from invite or direct join" for 5 mins before it times out. I've played on it before but it won't work now.

I used to really believe in Wildcard, thought highly of them, thought they were trying super hard and to cut them slack. I would watch some videos on ASA for series S - just to get it to play they destroyed most of the settings, and infact to play smoothly you have to use volumetriccloud. If you want a game to look good, picking the worst console out of all in each gen will be applying a shotgun to your own foot, you only have yourself to blame for hoping for something good. Sorry, but that's the truth, and this particular part isn't WC's fault - I've seen other games run equally bad on it and all of them have had their settings gutted.

The graphics being poorly optimised on Xbox are just "cherry on top". I'm not happy about it but it's a minor inconvenience in the grand scheme of things, and realistically I would tolerate it if it was the only issue, I've played worse. There's the problem of "this entire game was remastered only with pc in mind and just ordinary interface is horrible on Xbox (and guessing PS) when console loved this game".

that is some sort of bug or other issue with the curseforge plugin, unfortunately it looks like it is crashing in some windows C runtime code that has nothing to do with ark, without a good explanation. that could be due to the curseforge plugin telling windows to do something illogical, or other problems

yes. the CPU will progressively become more damaged until it fails completely. if you are already crashing, the CPU is damaged. You need to submit a warranty claim to intel (who has extended warranty for all affected processor models) and update your motherboard to the latest firmware (the second round of fixes started releasing in august) before installing a replacement

Hello all to start with I am on PC with ASA and am encountering this issue both in solo worlds and in servers. I can not see Dino names/levels. I have gone through hud settings, tried holding H, backspace, End, and shift +num1. I relogged and restarted the game. I restarted pc and verified files, and now I've just re-installed entirely and the issue persists. What am I doing wrong?

The dino was not in the games that means the mod created its own name etc for the dino.
Delete the mod...Delete anything connected to it.
That is how all mods work that are actually their own item.
Now the other type of a mod is so something that adjusts/slightly modifies something in the game while not actually creating a new item.
That's why you only add things that have very low probability to be added later or things that you know are in good standing and have a modder that is active.
Build a base with modded stuff? Delete mod and your base is gone.... So mod creator is not active? Mod breaks... No one to fix it... Gone!

A minimum would probably be a 3060ti. Any Intel 10th gen or AMD 5000 and above. 32 RaM.

Processor is more flexible depending on the GPU. It is primarily a GPU bound game.

If not other options to look at in order would be connection on your PS5 to network sometimes it's slower than we know. Then what mod possibly didn't install correctly, but with that comes uninstalling then re-add 1 at a time. But worse case scenario.

Also, when a mod goes out of date I usually uninstall it then re-add it over updating because it takes same amount of time.

There is no current time that I know of considering the chaos regarding Abberation's release. I would suggest restarting your game first/perhaps respawning, and if that doesn't work, try to run the boss fight again. I ran the Alpha Dragon yesterday and it worked fine, so it might just be a quirk.

there's a calculator in the Beacon App which works out perfect tames for you.

Highly recommend buying it, although the free version still does a lot

PSA: Abberation is not yet released. Keep an eye on #announcements for updates.

For questions:

1. The DLC does show up on Steam, but it's not downloadable, and will only launch the game.
2. There is no confirmed time due to a console build being stuck in the publication process.
3. Yi Ling is coming with Abberation. Cosmo is with Bob's Tall Tales. You can find more information regarding Bob's Tall Tales(2) on the Steam DLC page. I am not sure for console/windows edition.
4. When Abberation does release, there is typically a delay when it is added to Nitrado. Refer to their customer support for server issues.
