I think I found a solution, lay a foundation under it and then build a roof on top of it. I had to gut the entire inner structure how ever.

well, you are having an issue now. that many mods tends to just cause disasters in game balance and often breaks a lot of the mods as they overwrite or sabotage parts of others. i cant hazard a guess without the modlist, but you likely have tons of redundant/conflicting mods. generally you want one and only one mod that changes any given mechanic, like existing dinos, crafting, base structures, ect. stuff that is self-contained and only adds things with no interaction with existing things tend to be safer

if you have 3 different mods all trying to alter or replace the spino, for example, it is anyone's guess which one is winning and if one of them is just broken to begin with

a lot of mods are not well-made, well-documented, or both. they may do stuff they dont mention, or stuff the creator never intended/forgot they put in the wrong mod

best to stick to well-known, well-documented mods if you are using a lot

Hey all I’m having a weird problem with my new server. We barely have 20 tames but no matter what I do none of the dinos will breed. I’ve played plenty of times and never had that happen. Is there a setting for this I accidentally switched? Could a mod disable mating? I’m so confused 😅 (fyi yes all the mating requirements are met I.e close together, not following, not neutered etc)

In Ark: Survival Ascended, playing on Xbox, I am attempting to spawn in a Fasolasuchus in a single player world, yet the auto censor that is on the Xbox version is so bad/invasive, that it is censoring my spawn command and I am entirely unable to spawn this dino.
I understand censoring chat and signs, but the admin panel? really? and even in singleplayer???

Edit: after doing some testing, it is the word Fasolasuchus itself, how can you have a creature that you can't even type the name of on one of the platforms your game is on?

ASA is 100x better then ASE in the fact they now allow mods on building and cosmetics, (pay for some)... they have rebuilt the game with almost none of the micro management tasks like putting berrys in troughs, or putting poop in your dung bettle.. etc

Im using Steam, This happens on any server that uses the mods and the mods all modded maps and some other random decor mods, I play on unofficial Omega Ascended Servers

This isn't just a server issue or a one mod issue from what I can tell but I cant for the life of me figure the cause😂

I was on an iguanodon, both of our iguanodon have mutations..my Gf is speed mine is weight but like we leveled up their speed so it's pretty easy to do ALL mountains one by one 3 times.

I love iguanodons since they go fast and forever, not efficient for mountain climb tho 😞

Also does anyone have a list of every dinos with their utility and the stat you need to level up?
Because I want to make one but if it already exists well I'll just take that..

incredibly bizarre, lol. is it just another 100+ lines of that same ArkAscended.exe!UPrimalEngramEntry::GetAllChainedPreReqs() function?

looks like a badly made mod (or two) has set up a circular engram dependency, and the game has infinitely looped until it ran out of memory while trying to make sense of it

nondedicated uses peer2peer holepunching to bypass the need to have the network setup required to host a real server. it is very reliant on both people having a stable internet connection (no, "gigabit" does not mean it is good or stable), having a router and ISP that both allow peer2peer and dont perform CGNAT or nonstandard NAT/firewall behavior

now this is the thing, we have exactly the same mods across our cluster, however 1 map is still functioning as intended, the ones with the issues run correctly until you hit the engram part, then it crashes & throws this crash error on steam

There should be 1-3 spawns typically if your game isn't tripping out. The spawner is not that lazy.

They share the spawn with Carchardodontosarus so if those are present then Giganaotosarus won't be.

Cryopodos of baby rexes to befridnd one. You want PvP mode on for cryosickness and to throw the baby out 2nd so you can quickly kill it before it grows.

Official servers are still very exploitable (cheaters), I would steer away from it and go to a unofficial. Most unofficial servers have plugins and mods to prevent this and are faster to respond to your inquires. Official PVP is a bit challenging unless you have hours to spend

tl;dr update your firmware immediately to a version adding the "intel default" profile, enable it, ensure core voltage limit is no higher than 1.45v, and voltage measured under load does not exceed that.

there are several ways to stress-test the processor to see if it is already damaged, which is covered by warranty

intel has already extended warranty coverage for impacted models

basically, unsafe default power and speed configurations are frying the processors. newer firmware corrects a lot of that, but also lowers performance. significantly, for heavily multicore loads

unfixed, it is just a matter of how many months until it dies, not if it does

Okay, I will have to look into how to do that. At the moment the only time I am having issues is when playing ASA, every other game I play runs perfectly fine and gets 60fps-300fps. I play World of Warcraft, ASE, Overwatch 2, FF14, Apex Legends, RDR2, GTA 5 etc. All on the highest settings.

So I might be wrong for thinking it's the in-game graphic settings and not the processor itself.

If your game crashes after you've downloaded your character and before it autosaves/you manually save you lose your character

Sigh..so ps5 splitscreen just kept crashing to the point my gf and I couldn't play the center at all. So we tried playing on series x by using game pass to get the game and play non dedicated instead of splitscreen single player. It worked long enough for us to feel comfortable purchasing the game outside of gamepass and also pyromane and now after probably like 30-40 hours it's gotten to the point it just constantly crashes even trying to boot up so we literally can't play..again. If It matters we were playing with dino depot, sunken world, and a few smaller mods on the center, but even deactivating all of them it still crashes so I can't imagine it's them, especially since it worked fine before

1. I feel like I am getting about 40 fps average and running into constant lag spikes with minor aliasing with ASA on The Center map playing low-medium settings. My specs are 7950x3D for CPU, RTX 3070 for GPU, and 2x32GB sticks of ram, monitor resolution is FHD (1920x1080).

2. Is it actually possible to make Ark look like it does in the pictures with the nice models because currently it feels like I am playing ASE on low graphics.

Unfortunately the console versions in my experience have always had blurring.

Things that might help but not guarenteed.

• Increase all settings maximum quality
• Disabling motion blur (I forgot if this was a option or not)
• Getting a monitor with a better panel that suffers less from blurring combined with a higher pixel density.

kind of late, but that is a funky system. the GPU is a good bit below the recommended spec, and the CPU is extremely problematic. are you using the windows gamebar to manage CCD parking, or manually assigning cores? ASA is very reliant on CPU performance in singleplayer, especially, that could make a big difference if windows is messing up scheduling (as usual)

I am using Process Lasso to tell Steam what cores are available.

I could try applying it to tell the game directly to only use the X3D cores.

Yeah tell me about it.... This is my 2nd 7950x3D my first one was faulty and I had to deal with AMD for about two months to get a replacement. When it works it's amazing otherwise it's a pain telling it what cores to use sometimes.

A 3070 is only about 15% difference in performance so I'd be really shocked if that is what's causing the stutters and such.

that would be why. you dont have enough VRAM to load the textures, epic or not.

texture quality tells the engine how much it can load, and some other quality related settings. you still need to physically be able to load that much

it is not very complex, no special tools needed. the hardest part by far is the knowledge involved in choosing components, which you need to do buying a prebuilt as well, to not get scammed

So this is an issue I'm having. I assume the current save is literally just unplayable at this point due to memory issues. I really want to keep playing with my gf, just the 2 of us(at least for now) but if we restart map we will likely just have this issue again..

A nitrado rented server won't give me this issue, correct? As all the heavy processing I would assume falls on the server itself and not explicitly on my console(was hosting non-dedicated on my console and inviting her on a separate series x)

I want to make sure before dropping MORE money to play Ark, because after issues on ps5 I spent a considerable amount to play on series X(bought friends xbox series x for gf because he didn't use it)

And we got comfortable after like 20 hours of no issues so I then bought tales and pyromane as well, just for this issue to arise 20 hours later and break everything

that link goes to an error page, but if your game is crashing due to nondedicated, yes. a server will reduce memory use on your console a good deal

if either of you has a PC with a decent CPU and RAM, you can run your own server for free

if you are on xbox, you can export the save for use on a server through the windows version, cloud save, and some tools, but it is tricky. a PS5 save is unrecoverable

Basically I boot game, start through single player/non dedicated (uses same save and I've tried using both multiple times hoping for the unlikely) and it goes to loading screen then crashes to xbox dashboard without ever finishing loading

What would a decent pc be for hosting server? I've heard it requires a lot and mostly RAM based which I have only 8gb RAM I believe.

16GB RAM to just run a server, any modern CPU of reasonable speed

anything with 8GB is likely too ancient to have acceptable CPU performance, as well

absolutely. that would run ASA on PC pretty well, a lot better than on console, especially if you added another 16GB, at which point it could play and run a server at once.

i have run ASE servers, but had much reason to tinker with ASA yet, but it is mostly the same, and i can help with generic network and config setup

make sure your internet service allows running a server first, if you need people to be able to connect from outside your LAN

some, mostly mobile LTE, services cluster many customers under one IP address, which plays hell with server hosting

That was hitting 'q' in ase while in inventory to toggle, i think there might be a button icon for it around where the 'folder and sort' tabs are in inventory now too

Neee to watch for port clashes. ASA (the game) will grab 7777 so you need to set a different port for ASA (the server) if run on the same machine.

If my pc is strong enough to run the game much better than series x, would I be able to just do non-dedicated with my gf with me on pc and her on her xbox? As opposed to fully running a server for us to play on?

You’ll still have tethering. And I don’t think you’ll be able to use the steam version, think you’d have to use the Xbox App version on windows.

I mean I definitely would still strongly consider a server since it would remove the 1000m distance restriction and make certain things far more enjoyable(I could go gather for her builds without us having to always be together), but as a faster alternative to waiting on RAM upgrade

Not sure about those commands. I only use console commands to remove clouds, fog and change gamma.

If the "Maximum Difficulty" checkbox is enabled (MaxDifficulty=True in ShooterGameMode_Options within Game.ini), Difficulty is set to 5.0 and all other related settings are ignored. However, The Island is the only widely proven special map that would completely ignore the "Maximum Difficulty" checkbox and therefore if it needs extra ini settings to change the dino levels.

ehhh Looks like some of the wording has changed on the wiki. I recall a youtube test of it a long time ago that showed that it's piece by piece. but that because it's only 50% total detection range reduction that you pretty much have to have 3 or more pieces to really notice the effect. Possible that could have changed but the wiki doesn't say.

The Island is good for note runs, some achievements, Ascension, and low level female breeders (these last two come much later).

I've heard it's better with base locations on ASA but have not spent much time on ASA Island to see for myself.

Ragnarok or Aberration are usually the first map players fall in love with.

I think those two are the best tbh, i play the island because im familiar with it. I tried Lost island and i think its fine but i dont like playing on it, i should have played ragnarok

Lost island is a cementing paste desert

I go there to tame Backflaps and Nipple Ducks

(Sinomacrops and Maewings).

There's also a decent under water crate run if you have a basilo (stupid amount of jellies, and nothing else that's immune to jelly dismount will fit in some of the tunnels, so you need one to do it).

with the mods im having an issue where all the carnivores from those mods are eating all the doedicurus, ik i can tame an anky but i want to get a lot of stone so i can get cementing paste. Got chests full of Chitin because i play on boosted rates, i do not enjoy playing for multiple hours to grind

Thing is, you don't have to play a single map at a time. You can go to certain maps for specific things and take it back with you to your main map. Unless your doing one of those in order of release/canon runs, it's only disservice to yourself to not take advantage of every map for what it's best for.

so, i hosted a non-deticated server for me and my newbie friend and for some reason when he gets too far from me that being 180metters he gets pulled to me and it says your too far away from the host

how do i fix this??
