Hello guys, I already sent a message about this issue and already tried everything since then, after May I just gave up on ASA and stopped trying to join servers since it would just always kick me out saying "lost/timedout connection to host" or "kicked because of battleye, reason: client not responding." I've already tried switching from a wireless connection to a wired connection, from wifi to ethernet, and testing to join with ethernet, then switching back again, vice versa, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, verifying my game files, even going to local files of the game to uninstall the battleye client and reinstall it which did nothing, and also toning down the quality from 2560x1440 to 1920x1080 and setting everything to medium quality except for the shadows, that is low, and some other things such as fluid plant animations and turned off all settings that tend to crash your game. I do run this game on a GeForce RTX 2060 Super with a Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700KF CPU @ 3.80GHz, 3792 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s), I am planning on getting a new and much better PC later on and migrating my data since my PC Model can only upgrade to an GeForce RTX 3070 TI maximum and the latest being the Geforce RTX 4090 Super. Although when I first got the game I was able to run the game quite well with the settings I'm using right now and then the error started happening out of the blue
I am also not the only one experiencing this as there is a thread on steam of 10s of people complaining about this

I could play singleplayer but I prefer playing with people and I am currently trying to join a PVE Unofficial server with mods, a server by the name of "The New Jurassic World"
although on official pve and pvp this same issue seems to occur as well
I saw a youtube video on this and apparently you need someone to kill your character so you can load back in, but the server which I joined I didn't even get to make a character in, it just kicked me out straight away after joining
and even if I did make a character I don't know anyone on that server, lol (sorry for sending this twice just haven't got any response yet).

it is a simple EHP calculation. 100 armor = +100% HP. except the amount of effective armor you have depends on the type of damage taken, so it can be much more or less

it is a connection issue. it has nothing to do with your PC, unless the problem is your network hardware, which you seemed to have ruled out. likely nothing you (or wildcard) can do about it

ASA's netcode is pretty picky and prone to disconnects, mostly seems to be an issue on the server end + some quality of the player's connection. a lot of people go through periods of being unable to connect or cant connect at certain times of day/randomly

the only thing some people have said helped a little, in some cases, is changing the network bandwidth setting in the game config

i dont know if that actually helps, since the issue is random for most people and confirmation bias is a thing

counterintuitive, but the disconnects mostly seem to be due to the game flooding the client with data on login, and some of it falling off the back of the proverbial truck

bases loading being the cause is probably not a wrong guess, just not quite the way you were thinking

Anyone have an issue with no pyromanes spawning? I see lots of comments on ppl wishing it wouldn't spawn in their SP if they haven't bought it, but what about those of us who have bought it and don't have it showing at all? I've circled around lava Island a bunch of times and zigzagged thru it as well, raptors, rexes, 2 gigas, a carch, scorps, carnos, even a spino but not a single pyromane

Pyromanes have been spawning for me, though at a low rate. Have you tried to dino wipe?

I haven't, I generally try not to wipe if at all possible, it takes forever to appropriately repopulate the world

It only takes about 10-15 minutes. I just sit there and wait in one spot or do stuff around my base. Dino wiping helps clear out overspawns, too. It might just be the pyromane can't spawn because something else has taken its place. You could also try murking lava island spawns with dinos or something if you don't want to dino wipe.*

I dinowipe regularly, about every time I log on, unless I saw a dino I wanted to tame the day before.

"exception" literally means "error", not exactly a specific thing. and if steam is reinstalling the game automatically, something is severely wrong on your end

it only does that when something implodes badly enough to make it check for corruption, and it finds corruption

i would recommend installing the game on another drive, and running chkdsk on the drive ark is on now, also run file verification on every other game on that drive and see if any turn up issues

if it is on your windows drive, run SFC as well

invalid access exception? means the program tried to stick it's fingers somewhere in memory outside where the actual program is, and windows took exception to that

If the creature is already hatched and you change the setting as it's growing then no the creature will grow up and the imprint will act like the settings weren't changed. The changed settings only affect the dinos hatched after they are changed

as far as other components/noobtraps people fall into with current gen AMD platforms, you dont need/want liquid cooling of any kind, no benefit to massive boards/cases anymore, and high-end motherboards are mostly bait/plain ripoffs. also should unconditionally avoid asus and gigabyte boards, endless procession of problems

a 4080ti super would be fine for ASA at 1440p, although some of the max settings are needless performance killers without much benefit

Okay so I had a problem recently in running or at least trying to run the Alpha overseer fight... All of us were in the boss room that could have been but the fight had never activated. Quick question for some of the more experienced breeders out there.
Over the past week I was gifted some overly mutated boss started rexes on an official server. Judging by the stars they had been bred for Health mutations, but while looking over their stats, I noticed that their Melee stat was lower than the Male Rex that I had recently started breeding into my base line before I started breeding for mutations in the line. I'm curious what would happen if I started breeding the higher Melee male with the mutated females? Will it mess up the mutations of the babies? Or will they end up keeping the Health mutations of the mother(s) and only have the Melee mutations lost (if any) if they get the father's Melee stat? Thanks in advance for all the assistance.

If you tame a gigantoraptor and pluck its feathers and get a melee feather it will give you a better roll for breeding in the melee stat if you put the feather in the mother’s inventory when breeding.

As for the mutations it depends on if the mutations came from the patrilineal or matrilineal side whether or not they will carry over. Hope this helps.
