you need to port-forward. you can also use one of the many LAN connection softwares like hamachi tho. (would assume those are PC only tho)

Yeah, my ISP confirmed to me that the ports are being correctly forwarded to my PC's static internal IP. And some of my friends play through GFN, so the Hamachi thing wouldn't solve it. Obviously, the port forwarding is also set up on the PC's firewall. I also even tried disabling both the firewall and AV.

I checked the ARK wiki, but I'm not following any specific guide. I tried with the steamCMD, ASM and even tried to open the server directly from the client.

Both, even tried putting the IP and port directly in Steam, but nothing, it just says that no server was found on that IP address. And nothing happens if I turn off the firewall by the way, absolutely no change.

Unless they are scanning for open ports on your router, I’m not sure they can tell that. Even then, they won’t know if you have forwarded to the right computer on your network or if you have a firewall.

Is there a way to solve items/dinos disappearing from inventories? Playing on my own server with just my husband, so I'm not being raided. Cross platform with Xbox/PS5 and only mods are ones you'd find on official. I've had items like full sets of ascendant armor, weapons, structures, breeding lines of dinos stored in cryopods, and etc all randomly disappearing from different inventories of myself, dinos, vaults, fridges, and etc for about a month now. Some dinos that are in cryopods will be at 50/50 out of the cryo and some structures that were in inventories will appear there too. But everything else that disappears is just gone and it's becoming game breaking 🤦‍♀️ happens almost every time I login now

Hey there.
So I got an issue.
I had installed Ark on this new PC, started it up, worked fine.
Uninstalled for like a week, reinstalled it today, but now it won't start.

I hear the starting sound for like 1-2 seconds and it instantly crashes.
I don't see the splash screen or anything.
Verified files already.
I'm on Windows 11. No other game does this and, like I said, it was working fine on the same PC a week ago, no changes made since then.

Have a player on my Unofficial Svartalfheim Server that is unable to play since Power Rangers update, he loads in and anything he tries to do (ride a tame, harvest, etc.) it crashes and sends him immediately to the dashboard. He's never had issues before, no new mods. He's uninstalled and reinstalled the game as well as all mods, He's even went as far as clearing the cache and all local saves, as well as deleting his survivor and creating a new one. set the texture pool to as high an amount as you can while leaving enough VRAM for other things (the actual framebuffers, and other rendering data). but you wont be able to totally prevent swapping with that amount of physical memory, which is why setting a lower overall texture resolution offset can make it look better, if stuff is swapping badly (like super blurry map, or terrain textures)

I can speak from experience you do not want to have a dino exploision. I once left my guy on in infinite stats mode overnight. That was a huge mess. This was when I first started playing. But a option would be nice to allow it.

Either way it doesn't take much to google the release date of the game. I don't know when you purchased Evolved but if you bought within the last 9 months or so you would have seen that Survival Ascended was available to buy too

my inventories been glitching out , i tamed a doe and when i harvested stone i noticed it was invisibale and when i checked the weeight the stone was there . I transfered the stone and what every container it was in also glitched out makign myh items invisible . All my structures started having the issue . you will probably revise that once you see it running on a SSD, it is different. loading screens are seconds, no freezes/lag/crashes when teleporting, flying, or going in/out of caves, generally way stabler and smoother. but as for installing it, not much you can do aside from try to reconnect the drive and hope steam can access it properly

just use better tames and put them on aggressive, and put more cakes on them, (theriz) i put 50 cakes on them and have 35k hp and 1.2k melee and leave them to do their stuff and no issues, you can also sit on a pyromane and go afk in a corner letting them do it as your immune to the fire then (his melee hurts them like crazy btw)

i dont know what your maxed lvl is on your server but mine is 300 tamed and 1700 breed so the bosses are a little harder on ours hence needing 35k hp and 1.2k melee to do alpha

u can still use a shotgun by aiming above the theriz heads whilst they are fighting as well btw

The problem is we had help from another tribe that does the fight consistently on alpha with the tames he uses. We farmed him tribute for 3 bosses and failed all 3 of them. We don't have the 20 theri let alone a capped saddle cuz MY tribe started on Scorched and not island.

When I use kbm on this game with my Xbox, everything is alr tho I have to have my sense on minimum otherwise I move my mouse 1cm and do 6 180s. But whenever I scope in with a scope while on foot (like a fabby or spy glass, aiming in with something that has no scope is fine) my sense is too low to even budge the scope, but is fine while on the back of the dinosaur. There isn't any specific scope sense but are there any fixes?

I have been trouble shooting this for days now and am at a loss to what it actually is. Every time I login on the server my base is full of wild creatures. I spawned in my house today and had 3 wild raptors in my room. On top of this if any of the tames in the base are not on passive they are spread out outside the base. Some 100's of meters away from where they were when I logged out. If you leave passive creatures they are eaten and killed. It is if the world is running while I am not online. I have never had this happen and have ran servers for a long time. I have been systematically removing mods, moved it to another machine for testing as well with the same issues. I have been going over all the ini files. I am just not sure where else to look. Anyone know of anything that can cause this? Thanks for any insights.

Make sure you have admin commands enabled in your settings on nitrado. Make sure you have a password set up on your nitrado either thru settings (I think) or INI file (what I used to do) then so long as you do what was said above you’ll be fine
