I didn't make anything. First, go to the mod list at the main menu of the game and filter by custom cosmetics. Download those. Then join server and open inventory and go to the cosmetics tab and right click on each piece and there will be options of what is available for each piece you want. I'm on PC so not sure of the controls for consoles.

Step 2: Start up game eat poly and die cuz they dont show up otherwise. 🙂

Step 3: Go into your crafting list and get the decor box unlocked

I have a self-hosted ASA dedicated server that was silent crashing when starting a random number of times before working. The most recent update seems to have changed the silent crashes to an actual error message but I can't find anything out about it. CFCore: Error querying server mods: ApiError: Processing (serverUnreachable). This happens during server startup and rather than taking less than 5 minutes to start, the server will encounter this error and crash out during start-up and can take anywhere from 1 - 80+ attempts before it successfully contacts the mod server to check if any mods need any updates. Has anyone seen this anywhere?

I have a problem while playing Ark: Ascended. When I fly or ride the Beelzebuffo, I notice a slight "lag," bump, or jump. When I fly and come to a stop, my dinosaur does a small jump of about 1-2 meters. I have a good PC, so graphics aren't a problem. I don't know how to fix it, and I also checked this "lag" while riding the Beelzebuffo when sprinting... When flying, it's smooth and good, but when I stop using the air brake, it does a small jump. I don't know why this is happening.

I've had my server wiped because Nerftrado hadnt implemented a patch properly, server name, password, ini settings all gone. had to start from old backup. it doesnt matter who says what. text is just text and nobody has to account for what they say. it's better to wait for both poorly managed parties to fix the fixes than be a guinea pig.

There are also mods like Der Dino Finder to make it easier to find the higher level dinos that spawn, also fair warning once you use DestroyWildDinos it'll lag when the command goes off but if it actually goes through without crashing it'll skyrocket your fps then you can also go get some free supply drops while the dinos respawn,

Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen. It started today when I got on steam reported it had a 1.8gb update for ark. So I downloaded it. After playing for 15-30 minutes strange visual gliches happen especially in the water. If you look at the surface of the water you see what looks like outlines of foundations like a grid is on the water or how the dev kit looks. Then the game starts to get foggy all over and slowly the shadows are really dark. Everything is super dark. Sometimes in my base the lights start glitching and it looks like I am having a rave as well. I am not sure what to make of this. I have changed no settings. Running a 4080. The only thing I can think of was the last update. Just wanted to see if anyone else has seen this. BTW logging out and back in fixes it for about 15 minutes.

I went to do the simple Apple tech trick and uninstall and reinstall, and upon uninstalling it said my files were broken for the mod. I closed app and restarted, mods were fully uninstalled so I downloaded again. Still nothing in cosmetics

@true heron the modded maps are broken due to new mods addition. Prehistoric mod is always out of date. Area around volcano randomly kicks you out. Multiple server crashes. Brachiosaurus mod causing problems but if you uninstall you lose all items and saddles. Please remove the new mods. Things were much better before.

I sometime experience crashes (every 15 minutes or just 5 seconds after a login as well).
They first show an error like: RAM usage too high. And then it BLUESCREENS my PC.

I bluescreened 5 times in one hour yesterday....

My PC runs a 3070 (8GB), an i5 12 600KF, two 8GB sticks (16GB total) and a Z690 UD DDR4 motherboard.

The game runs flawlessly and I generally have 80FPS on max settings.

Can anyone help me fix these bluescreens?

Well it does say ram usage too high, but 16GB should be enough to run ASE (assuming we are talking about two identical sticks correctly installed and there are no hardware issues), so I guess you should check what’s eating up all of you ram…even simply checking the task manager could give you an idea. Are you running other things at the same time as the game? If turns out that it is ase using so much ram, are you running any particular mods that could justify this?

All I had on was an idle discord with no calls or chats opened and one firefox page with a paused twitch stream.

that is not how computers work. you cant overload a CPU, and if you "overload" RAM by turning off your pagefile (dont do this for any reason..) and flooding memory, it gives a pretty specific error message telling you to not do that, either

tbh probably 2 out of 3 gaming PCs are highly unstable or outright damaged, from my long experience. most often memory corruption/instability due to untested xmp kits

regardless, bluescreen error codes mean things, even if they look like nonsense to an inexperienced user. you can use the window event viewer to see past error events and their full codes, and those can be decoded by someone with experience, or via MSDN's documentation. it should explain why a system crash is occuring, sometimes pinpointing a specific driver or hardware component

My rig cost less than a quarter of the price, runs most settings ultra, and only one modded ui sometimes crashes me. I worked with my compshop to find price point parts that played together well with a little future proofing in it. High end new shit is often experimental and poorly optimized and can cause issues like BSODs. Iirc, the early runs of 40xx series cards had mega issues like that.

I just want to say that Ark is such a well created game and I’ve spent over 2000 hours playing it and i don’t regret it.
