This happened to me twice, once I had to restart computer, the second I managed.

On the taskbar you should see that Ark has 2 windows instead of 1, and the second one is now the default which is a crash report. If you just get it on screen and press enter it will press okay and exit ark for you. I was spamming windows key and alt + tab and eventually i got it but i started sweating

Hey all, I still have an issue with my Xbox PC version of ASA not tracking my map discovery and explorer note progress on a nitrado server. Someone previously suggest erasing my character save file on my pc but I found I don't have one at all. I even went into single player and moved around there and nothing saved. How can you fix the low-poly models? Most creatures are fine, but ones I’ve had an issue with so far are

• Managarmrs (modded, I’m on ASA)
• Wyverns (Also modded. I don’t know if they fix over time though yet)
• Dire bears
• Dire wolves
• Ovis
  Dire Bears will ‘fix themselves’ after a little bit of intense staring, but so far everything else hasn’t had much of a glow up. Bears, wolves and Ovis have their fur fine, but their faces are, quite frankly, horrifying.
  It’s worst with the Managarmrs, who I can best describe as a spaceship. I posted a screenshot of it yesterdayish. They will occasionally fix themselves, but it’s rare, and even rarer for it to last. They usually return back to low poly… things in a few seconds or if I move my camera away. Not entirely bothered by any of this, and I’m more understanding of the Managarmrs since they’re modded, but I’d like to actually see my dinos properly

Also the Ovis scares me. It’s eyes are protruding outwards and it’s horrifying

use imprint amount multiplier to adjust the % of imprint the creature gains per cuddle ,

just have to adjust for what suits you . as beacon will show how may cuddle it need for the setting

be aware any new setting applied to the server will not affect babys or eggs in the world (there on old settings)
only fresh made eggs or babies can get the new change

this is why i like beacon as its very easy to adjust the numbers an get it perfect for your needs for each dino type ,

its a known issue with the series s, something to do with the mod system
a guy found a work around that worked for a few ,that i know tried it ,
remove mods from the game one at a time (not unistall all),
clear the system cache(google how idk)
then join your server , letting it download the mod/mods on server join.
if you get timed out whilst mods d/l, just got to keep rejoin server till all the mod/mods are done downloading

Yeah i found a work around too. Just join in on a friend. Issue is that a lot of the people that are on the server i’m on aren’t on my friends list. I’m not 100% sure it actually works or if it’s just a placebo effect, but every time i’ve tried to join via a friend it worked 3/3 times.

I have crashed 40+ times today. I play single player. There's no pattern, sometimes I crash 3 times in a row, sometimes I get 30 minutes of freedom until it crashes. It is basically unplayable. I have a 4070, I can run epic settings just fine, I have lowered and tweaked every setting, and every option and tried literally everything I have read about to try and fix the problem. I have tweaked settings all the way to running the game as administrator. Nothing works, My pc bluescreened sitting on the main screen for too long. And it's not my parts overheating or anything as it doesn't happen in any other game. I'm about to just stop playing until there's eventually a fix because I'm out of ideas and It is just not enjoyable like this. It took me 2 hours to get across the map because I crashed so much. And sometimes it rolled me back past my manual save, so I logged in and I was back at my base?? in the cave of the brute and not sure if its the unofficial server's settings or what, but are 3 alpha megs and 100+ normie megs normal for this cave? i see people like "tame a basil, it makes water caves easy!" and my max level combat upgraded basil didnt even make it into the first big open room because there were more sharks in the first pathway than in the entire ocean. ive never had this much trouble getting this artifact before, and wasnt sure if its a game change to up difficulty or if this server's settings are messed up

Anyone else had the issue of their rented dedicated server for ASA not show up anywhere? It says its online, all ports forwarded and setup properly, doesn't even show on battlemetrics and cannot remote connect to it either, tested setting it up on a self hosted machine and it works perfectly, even setup an ARK Survival Evolved server onto the machine to test and that works perfectly too, but Ark Ascended will not show up anywhere and cant connect to it even though it says its online. Show Player Servers is ticked and have tried everything the server provider suggested with the comment that maybe Nitrado have blacklisted their IP's etc... Anyone have info on this? ASA you either have to use your own server hardware or rent through NITRADO only. It is part of the limitatons put by Nitrado until Snail Games has paid off their loan from Nitrado.

Hello, Ever since the last update where they did an optimization my game randomly goes to 200+ ping some times for minutes or hours. I've ruled out my Internet as I've switched to a different Internet connection and problem persists. Playing other games with connection and ping meters like COD show no issue in those games either. I've found that running my SP game as Non-Dedicated seems to reduce the amount of crashes I get

trying to figure out my fps issues with ASA. I have most settings set to low/med and some engine ini tweaks like turning off Lumen and still struggle to get 60fps consistently, but it seems like others are doing better with around the same specs

Hey everyone! I have a question concerning dino stats and mutations. I have 2 megatheriums, both 100% imprinted.
One has a base of 39 points in melee, the other one has the same + a mutation (so 41).
I pumped some levels in them and they're both at 68 points in melee now (39+0+29 and 39+2+27). My concern is that the mutated one has less melee damage overall. Basically :
39/0/29 -> 1160 melee damage
39/2/27 -> 1152 melee damage
How come? I thought higher base point stats would yield higher actual stats when leveling..?

The first thing to understand is that leveling is a percentage thing, not a regular stat point. So you have a 39 leveled 29 times and a 41 leveled 27 times. It's not equivalent

Here’s how I would explain it. Base stats and mutations fall into non-leveled points. So they don’t count to as much percentage/level as leveled points do. So 10 mutation points will not give the same damage percent as 10 leveled points

The main reason it's counterintuitive is that it doesn't really make sense to track/display a single "level" by adding up all the individual stats across both base and added points. If it were displayed differently, like the average or highest meaningful stat value for base level with "veterancy stars" or something for added levels, then it'd make pretty good sense. But "level 200 rex" can mean so many different things that it's not super helpful on its own.

tested on over 20 diff systems. best to run on high preset. fullscreen borderless. and turn down the foliage distance/quantity/quality sliders. and disable menu transitions
