you gotta drag a corpse to it enough times for it to be your "friend", then ride it and kill enough dinos to raise its taming bar. once it kicks you off, rinse and repeat the process.

So a new issue has arisen on our ASE cluster, and is affecting a few people. Players are in the tribe, according to the tribe manager screen, but they show up as enemies and can't access any tames or structures. We've tried kicking them from the tribe and re-adding them, creating a new tribe and claiming the base etc, doing a taketribe command on their base, redgunning their character, everything. But it seems like tribes are bugged or something.

In another case, we've removed someone from a tribe, and they're not actually in the tribe any more according to the tribe manager, but can still use all tames and access structures from that tribe. What's going on?? Have they (surely impossible, right???) broken something on Ark again?

You said you stayed there til 5am, that's way longer than you need. Raptor Claus arrival sounds will play, then about 10 seconds after there will be some stuff happen around the tree and the presents will fall down around it.

A few things I can think of that could be affecting it, first is whether it accepts those sort of beds and was it personally placed? I just placed a regular bed myself, not sure if tribe issues would affect that with structure ownership.

Second is how close the bed is, I'm guessing it's fine, though I did have mine right by it.

Third is that it looks like you're in a cave, could that be affecting things?

I would try again on the surface, open sky, with a normal bed right by the tree, see if you get it to work that way. Also be sure to watch the tree, as I said, the dinos come in cryopods and would be somewhat hard to see in that lighting and would eventually decompose.

I’m not sure if this is intended behavior or not but I figured out how to use waypoints on the map.

Used waypoints on single player to mark premade traps and small bases all over the map that I’ve done.

Then later went into the unofficial server I play with friends and all those way points carried over. It seems strange to carry those from map to map as waypoints may change for those tracking other players bases or their stuff which could be in different locations.

Is this happening for anyone else on Xbox or all platforms?

Winter wonderland is a really fun part of playing ARK... I play PVE and the problem i find is there is just not enough presents for someone thats not try hard to get. always the same few people racing around grabbing everything. Can there be a timer on the presents to open all at once or maybe lots of presents across multiple areas so one person cant ruin it for everyone?

why dont they make the presents give rewards to more than one person it really is aggravating as hell that they would do it like that alot of us end up with never getting anything, that makes people not get excited for events and as such is a bad business idea who wants to come back for an event a few years down the line if all they remember is that the clan with the bugs were able to get a gift then fly to the next before anyone else and as such you were just never able to get a damn thing, not to mention when there is 4 people there and the inventory lags out why not just have it burst the prizes like a pinata at least then it doesnt all go to the same two or three folks every time

I've been sending raptor clause requests through the fireplace. I've done it successfully 4 times. (Send a letter through fireplace, kill carnivores until "super nice", lay in bed before raptor clause appears, and stay in bed until a present appears (usually around 00:05 - 00:10). However, the last 6 in-game nights raptor clause wont drop off a present. I can't craft a new request either because it says, "You have already sent a letter to raptor clause today". Is there a way to cancel my current request or am I just screwed for the rest of the event? I've tried leaving the server, exiting the game, killing my character.. but I cant find a fix.. It would suck if I can't get presents for Christmas especially because I've been really nice this year, but my neighbor who steals drops from the other players on the server does (he's naughty)..

DisableCryopodEnemyCheck=True - will ignore the enemy player/structure/dino checks. Defaulted to true on PVE/Official Network

AllowCryoFridgeOnSaddle=True - will allow Cryofridge to be placed on rafts/saddles

DisableCryopodFridgeRequirement=True - will disable the Cryofridge requirement for releasing cryopodded dinos

those are the only 3 i know work, tried the old ase code lines an they do nothing

question. do all stats matter in term of max level for a successful breeding line? meaning, a buddy of mine has a rex line. hes in the opinion, that you need to max out every stat in order to get more out of one stat. if that makes sense. what i mean is, for example:
we take
50 points in every stat, totals 300. in his opinion now, when he levels health it gives more health every point, than for a dino which had only a breeding line for health.

You're legit comparing a game that involves shooting and the ONLY stress on your computer/device is people walking around with guns while in Ark the stress on your computer is 10x more, your computer has to render in trees/rocks/metal nodes/crystal/oil/obsidian spawning/being destroyed by other players. The spawning of other dinos, the activity of whatever all 70 players are doing on a server, the list goes on, it's a no brainer the comparison you're making.

Go to where you have it installed then right click the ArkAscended.exe (found in ARK Survival Ascended\ShooterGame\Binaries\Win64\ArkAscended.exe) and choose run as administrator. To do it permanently right click the same .exe then go to properties then compatibility tab and put a tick in run as admin then hit apply or OK both methods require an admin level account to do it.
