for gather, changing it from 1 to 2 will mean instead of picking up 1 stone you'd pick up 2. Taming, instead of taking 10 mins, it'd take 5. etc.

Not outside of the Food stat, but that won't affect the amount it's healing per second. That value is clamped between a min and max value, different for players and dinos and is very small percentage of the max health of that creature per second.

Higher food would allow them to be healing for longer between feeding. You could argue that other stats would help their survivability in combat, which in turn helps with their healing, but I'm pretty sure that's not what you're asking about.

Let me know if you figure this one out, I think part of the problem is the matte finish on the metal, the scratches are notably more reflective. Turning on DLAA improves glass and water reflection a lot, but no joy with metal. I did try playing around with some of the SSR settings, no joy, perhaps they're using Planar reflections, but I think the problem is just the material itself. Only other thing I can suggest trying is painting it, we used to paint them to reduce reflections, so the reverse might work using a white white.

You might be on a whistle group. Click H for extended hud info, at the top are you in a tame group? If your in group3, press numpad3 to exit back to the all group, then try again

Sorry for the late reply. So my understanding is that, when you unclaim a creature in Ark it throws the creature into a tribe for a short period. Since they are in a tribe in a PvE server you can not attack is (PvP) if you're playing with friends you can just tell them not to attack each other and check the PvP box.

Yeah I'm saying if you use the admin gun to clean up structures at 50/50 it may cause other issues. I think you're fine to use the admin gun to delete any creatures there though, that shouldn't cause any issues.

I think the admin gun is your only option for treating the issues at 50/50. This was a bug in ASE as well, so it will be on WC to fix it.

@nova oak @molten falcon I "solved" it actually... not sure if it was what I did or not but... what I did was, after unmounting, I did the whistle to "stop following" and went to the menu and pressed "enable wandering", "stop wandering" and it stopped. This happened to me the first time but I've had to uninstall and reinstall twice because the larger patches cause disk write errors because UE5 patching is garbage, and Steam doesn't delete the single player files anymore. Regardless, I advise backing up your single player saves regularly just in case, esp before you uninstall. I backup after every session after I lost my first save file.

I don't know the exact values, was basing it off some testing someone did to confirm/deny the "bosses are easier in SP/non-ded" rumor. So when they ran the test the bosses did more dmg and took less dmg at increased difficulty, but their stats visible on super spyglass remained the same, which points to resistance/armor pen.

Good luck getting an exact answer. I've been asking for days now. This is what I've been able to gather from my own struggles.
If your game is crashing at the same point everytime; it's a corruption in the memory. If you are just crashing randomly, I would say redownload the game and run lower graphic settings and do commands to take out clouds and fog.
(Even if you don't have mods activated even if they r installed I find some can corrupt your world)

Do the basics first, check all graphics drivers are update, uninstall and reinstall, clear caches (which I seen you have) try running another highly demanding game and see how it runs

Ok go to nvidia, download the latest driver and then download a program called DDU, it’ll boot up and you need to select the option to uninstall nvidia drivers, it’ll restart the system. Then you can open the driver program you downloaded first and reinstall the latest drivers

Ok, can you try something quick for me? Apparently it’s an issue with dx12 and a shader. Try this.

From your library, right click on ARK and hit properties. At the bottom of General is a box for launch options. Put "-d3d11" in there. This will force DirectX 11 and shader model 5, instead of DirectX 12 with shader model 6

Hello, I just had a quick question about breeding. When a dino with a mutated stat has a baby with that same stat, is the baby considered clean or mutated? My first Melee mutation was a female, and from my understanding I want to get a male from her to replace my clean male.

Or what do you mean with clean? For me clean means either 0/0 mutation stats, or clean mutations where the counter is equal to the stat points gained and no mutation was added without actually having a stat increase.

You are correct. The female needs to breed with a clean 0/0 ancestry male, until you have a male offspring with the wanted mutation.
This way the mutation-counter won't change. There are no new mutations into the mix, you just kinda "copied" your mutation into a male.

Put this male back with your clean female breeders, and off you go getting more babies

What I like doing is not starting my mutations until I have a identical pair of breeders. Male and female. Discarding any mutations up until this point.
Same level, same stats. Breed more identical breeder females and hope for mutations as you go.

I did that part, getting the perfect female and male with identical stats and level with 0/0 mutations on both. So what I need to do is copy the mutation to a male, and throw him back in with all the clean females. Repeat this every time a desired mutation is on a female.

And by clean I did mean 0/0, now I know the mutation is basically copied.

Crashing whilst playing might have an easier workaround than save file corruption that Chris is experiencing.

Are you doing anything in particular as it happens? You say "Sorting Base", does that mean it's happening as you are going in and out of menus? If so, there's an option to 'Disable Menu Transitions' that might help.

Second question would be whether you are using Frame Generation? If so, it's probably best to try turning it off, it causes a lot of crashes across a plethora of games.

Trying to research into this, a few quick questions, are you running any Anti-Virus software? Is your system OC'ed at all?

Application Error 0xc0000005 (Access Violation) is a longer version of your error, it seems there can be a plethora of causes, not necessarily to do with Ark itself.

This is a from a generic Windows forum about this error type;

"Application Error 0xc0000005 (Access Violation) error is usually caused by your computer not being able to correctly process the files and settings required to run a particular program or installation. Despite the error showing when you try and use particular pieces of software, it has many different causes including faulty RAM problems, errors with the files of your PC and issues with the settings of your PC."

It could be worth removing the OC on your RAM, see if that gets you loaded or not. Another suggestion they make is:

To run System File Checker (SFC), follow these steps:

1. In the search box on the taskbar, type command prompt, press and hold (or right-click) Command Prompt, then select Run as administrator > Yes.
2. At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow (note the space between sfc and the /). Scanning will take a few minutes.
3. If SFC finds corrupted files and replaces them, restart your PC and check if the issue persists.

That does seem like a rather large OC, but I don't know much about Overclocking and presume you know what you're doing.

I've no idea if that is the issue, but it would be a good test to try, will either find the problem or remove a potential cause. I really don't know much about this topic past what I'm trying to research to get to the bottom of the problem with you.

If you don't have any luck with that, can you try exiting the Windows Store version of Steam then using 'Run as Administrator' when you open it. See if that lets you run Ark properly. Found some cases of people needing to run Steam as Administrator to get ASE to run back in the day.
