Quetz eggs are used for Exceptional Kibble, if I remember right. Given that your alternatives to those eggs are (Basilisk), Bronto, Giga, Rex and Theri. You might prefer to just get Rex or Theri eggs instead.

Only other reason I would consider getting one is if you're actively using a Male high level atm, then you could breed them to get an offspring with the Male's stats that you can also imprint. Probably less important if it's for transport only though.

I haven't had the opportunity to test it myself, but in GameUserSettings.ini is a line called: ListenServerTetherDistanceMultiplier=1

You could try setting that multiplier to 2, see if it doubles your tether distance. Can't promise it will work, but worth a try, be good to know the results of your tests too if possible.

I added that one along with the shiny dinos mod and all of a sudden I'm seeing wild dinos spawning over 150 and can't figure out which one is doing it. I just force feed them, I've found as long as they don't take damage from starving I've never had issues with them surviving until Rhynio comes out. No sweet cake required. Just raw meat or berries.

It doesn't directly stop the game working when I'm at my base. It's when I try to leave my base and get about 1,500m away from the base my game crashes.

if you turn singleplayer settings off it will have different leveling (worse then official), so 15k hp is 51 levels on official and singleplayer on, but 43 lvls with singleplayer off.

texture quality settings are sort of anachronistic.. your graphics card has onboard memory and can only load as many textures as it can physically hold. a 6500 XT is really not sufficient for ASA, a bit under or barely meets the minimum hardware requirement, and it's memory capacity is a tiny 4GB, where the minimum cards are 8GB

Did a dragon fight last night with theris and when I whistled the theris to attack the dragon they ran away like they were on passive flee. Yeah it's definitely ark weirdness at play. My tribemate also found that he could pick up the eggs from the other of our walls, which were 2 foundations away from the eggs, again only giga eggs. Maybe its something to do with their hitbox or something.

First a Damage Modifier value is calculated; Damage sources have a different 'Damage coefficient' number for survivor armour and for saddles. As you can see below that's basically calculated by dividing 100 by the armour value after being modified by the Damage Coefficient plus 100. That will give a number equal to (no armour) or below 1:

Damage modifier = 100 / (100 + Armor Coefficient * Armor)

The damage you'll take is then a simple multiplication of the original damage amount by this modifier, so if the modifier was 0.5 and 100 damage was incoming, you'll get 100 * 0.5 = 50 Damage taken:

Damage taken = Damage * Damage modifier

Alternatively the original Damage Modifier value can be turned into a damage reduction percentage using this formula, (1 - 0.5) * 100 = 50% :

Damage reduction = (1 - Damage modifier) * 100

Probably best to go to the Saddles Wiki, then select the 'Saddle Armour' link on the right, it will take you down to the damage coefficients for a variety of things.

Most dino attacks seem to have a coefficient of 4 against saddles (Same is true of player melee and firearms), compared to 1 for player armour. 4 is a lot higher than player armour gets, for example 100 human armour is needed for 50% damage reduction, which is the same as 25 saddle armour.

Some creatures have a much lower coefficient, like Alphas are 1 against saddles (Same is true for explosives), meaning you're only getting 20% reduction at 25 armour, Theris and Mantas are 0.4, so a 9.08% reduction.

Could probably research specific cases if you feel they fall outside the normal expectation.

for imprints, its always the effectiveness of a given imprint vs the time to mature, vs the time between imprints... so if you're not able to imprint something, you need to boost either the effectiveness of a single cuddle, or reduce the time between imprints, or extend the time it takes to get full grown

What? You're getting confused. I meant creatures still ate underwater and their food dropped. My tame was at max food for several minutes and never drained. That was not a thing in ASE when something was underwater. I play on a server where it should've tamed before it would drown.

Depends, do you enjoy searching around for long periods of time, or do you want the dinos now? Creature Finder Deluxe is great for those pita rare spawn dinos, I use it for hunting for Tropes on Crystal Isles, you need to set -preventhibernation in launch options other wise it will only show dinos in the local area, beware of lag spikes with it enabled though

Logged on today and it restarted me at the character screen and my map was empty and beds were gone. All my settings have been reset too. I added a new mod to my system, but that shouldn't have affected my save data right?

I see at the bottom of the screen there's a "Delete all single player saves" button, but I know I didn't press that and I only see one save. When I choose that save it just sends me to the character select

on ASA the base stats of the creature do not matter at all when it comes to mutations, they are completely independent.
in ASE they were completely combined and you would only mutate dinos that had really good base stats.

Now in ASA you just breed these lines independently then merge them at the end. Can even merge in Color combinations into this too.

youll breed the same way you do on ASE from there on

ASA the main advantage is you can breed for mutations before you even get a good base hp, so you got lucky early and dont need that advantage
