Anyone know how to breed the best mutation line for ASA? I’m new to it kind of. I did start to learn how to do it on ASE but I’ve seen some videos saying that it is completely different and each video gets me way more confused than ever. Is want to be able to breed let’s say a Rex and get max mutations in health, stamina and melee. And I know that was possible in ASE. In ASA did they take out the cap for mutations so you can have a bunch of mutations in multiple area instead of 3? Please help thanks!

The following things finally helped my game to not crash anymore (or veeery rarely):
Console command: ark.VertexCountScaling 1
Disable HLOD = ON (right down)
UI => Disable Menu Transitions (left down)
lowering foilage quantity and distance to 0.5.

Game keeps knocking my Display Port/HMDI to black screen. It only happens with this game. First it was UE crashes, now this. 3090 drivers are up to date, game files verified, settings in-game bumped down, DLSS off, console commands used to soften the usage, etc.

what i do is thaty i rightclik on ASA in my library->browse local files-> Shootergame/Binaries/Win64. there you should see are exe file called "ArkAscended" rightclik that one then clik properties then compatibility. There you shoud see an box you can tick for it to run as administrator. But you have to launch the game by cliking on that exe file. Atleast i cant launch it trough steam. When it comes to server disconnects i have no clue

Okay so I am trying to setup a Dedicated Ascended server on my local machine. I was following the tutorial from troubleChute and got as for a running open 127.0.0.01:7777, but when it loads I just see a black screen. I also noticed the server didn't get a request logged like he mentions in the video. This is my first time trying to do something like this.

The logs even say it is causing corrupt files due to the rally points.

if you ping rally it can cause a memory leak which will crash the server or if you ping rally on a forge it has a 100% chance of corrupting your tribes data which means when they fix it, you wont own your base anymore

my server admins replicated it 100% on a test server to try and find out why we were stuck in a bootloop with tribes

There are a few things you could try. Setting your system pagefile/virtual memory to 16GB(16384MB) or 32BG(32768MB), Fiddeling with your .arktribe and .arkprofile and disabling fluid and foliage physics in the settings.
Most of those things are in the pinned messages.
One thing that helps me somehow is playing in 3rd person view. Fpv gives me a lot more crashes, could be coincidence but hey, if it helps it helps.

Is there still no word on them fixing fatal crashing errors and the god awful graphics on 1080p resolution? This is the worst game I've ever seen in 1080. It looks nothing like anyone elses game. I get black ghosting outlines around anything that moves. It looks like washed paint going over my screen. And yes my screen is native 1080p and I have game on fullscreen at 1080. Tried all graphics settings. DLSS off and on. Nothing makes it look any better. On top of that I always freeze up in game as soon as I get in every single time. Only fix I found for that is the console command of "ark.VertexCountScaling 1" and I can play for hours with not a single crash. I shouldn't have to remember to do that every single time on logging in either. Ughh.

@tawny oxide make sure tribe settings is personal. Structures is personal owned. Pin code everything. Unlock what cannot be pincoded. Unclaim all dinos--just in case. When you join another tribe all will be owned by that tribe. Reclaim dinos.

It only goes up to 90 if you use the epic graphics preset. But I've even done that and then closed out the game and went into the games ini file and manually bumped it to 100% and then made the file read only and it still does it.

I've seen others play at 1080 res and it doesnt look as bad as mine. I'm using a 4060. It can't be THAT ugly. Something aint right.

question about the mutation changes. I know they separated out the mutation stats from the base stats, but is there still a limit on the mutations. Previously, you used to be able to get upwards of 100+ mutations on a single dino by only using mutated males and unmutated females. I think it locks the wild dino level to either 120 or 150 i can't remember, so best is to just turn it off so it doesn't interfere with anything and then use the other 2 values to set your wild dino level

Those lets me play for a while without crashing. Just played for over 4 hours straight without crashing after doing this. before 10 min. Specs 4090, i9 13900k and 32 gm of ram

Has anyone figures out on servers how to bump the Dino levels to 180. I tried the Difficulty and Offset that Nitrado had listed but still only have 150 max. Thanks for the help.

if that doesn't work its a nitrado issue or ASA but I'm pretty sure it works on hosted

Anyone else having issues where everything in your inventories including smithys, dinos, etc, says its there before you open it but the moment you open the inventory its all empty and the folders to craft things isnt even there? It’s like all of your inventories are cleared and your engrams are reset, but, my tribe mates can see everything in the inventories. If they drop me stuff and I pick it up, it’s still invisible in my inventory. 🤦‍♂️
