This works, but I crashed again. I loaded back up and crashed yet again. And it seems to always be when interaction with a smithy or Argentavis inventory (which is a smithy built in).

Idk if this input will help or anything, but hopefully it helps the devs with the issue.

I think it's fair if you lost your stuff to a crash or it meshing out of existence. Just don't abuse it, and if it makes you feel a little less guilty, don't use cheats to regain a couple items. In my SP I lost my stuff because it despawned after a crash and I recovered my basic tools but not my armor (Flak Armor). And I regained the materials I lost.

Back in the early ps4 days (late 2016) me and my friend would play on official pve and we had a quetzal and I maxed out my weight and movements speed and we would help others recover their lost stuff. I used to parachute into a pack of rexes, grab their stuff and haul ass out and he'd come grab me with the quetzal and we'd return the stuff to it's owner and they'd give us materials and stuff for our trouble. Try joining an unofficial, or possibly an open non-dedicated session. There are a huge myriad of issues with Nitrado’s network (could be their internals, could be their ISP for certain data centers). You can also try using a VPN if you have access to one, which may change the route your connection takes.

If that doesn’t change anything then it’s likely on your side, which seems likely if you’re having another issue with singleplayer. Try a fresh reinstall if you aren’t on a limited data network, the game isn’t too large yet.

Check your Dino’s harvest settings in the radial menu. Make sure it wasn’t toggled off somehow. Also rejoin the server if you haven’t already (or relaunch if SP).

Really weird. It sounds like the wrong bushes. Some areas of the map have large patches of fiber-only bushes. The beaches usually have the mixed or berry-only bushes.

Official servers you won’t have access to the server-side saves unfortunately. You can still submit the bug report, just include the server name in it.

Since you’re on MP you could also ask if anyone else is having the issue (server could be bugged & need a restart). Or if you have tribe mates have them hop on the Dino and try. So you’ll know if it’s the Dino that is bugged or your client somehow.

Yep, it sucks because you’re going to lose 20-30FPS but it’s the only thing that helps until WC or Nvidia (could be driver integration issue) patch it.

I offset it by reducing a couple settings. Not thrilled about it but it beats crashing repeatedly.

Different services has different netwroking bandwith, steam is pretty much 10% of the speed you get to ur computer, origin has another speen, epic games has a differernt one

Only thing i can think of is turning off and on ur computer or google it, might be a setting on epic games that has something to do with bandwith

At that point i would try to explore the settings on epic games and research before doing restarting it. If it turns to restarting i would consider moving ur computer to the router and connect to the internet via eithernet cable just so its faster

I just watched my pc shut down when trying to join a multiplayer server in character creation. All I did was type a name and adjust height. I got to the screen where you pick where you spawn and my pc shut down.

So im the server 2326 for official, it doesn't like to show up as favorite, and doesn't like to show up, causing me to search and keep on refreshing the list.

Then when playing, I can do something, log off, then log back on, and that progress is reversed as if I done that.

The Island is the only widely proven special map that would completely ignore the "Maximum Difficulty" checkbox and therefore if it needs extra ini settings to change the dino levels. What setting do i change for setting the difficulty on the island

There’s a Custom Dino Levels mod that would work. Was ported over from ASE.

That would be the easiest way.

You can also edit the Blueprint list for the drops, but that’s kind of a nightmare. Haven’t tried those settings yet so I’m not sure if it even works the same on ASA.

No it will start updating right usually after patching it will go and get stuck at 2% you just leave it alone don't hit pause don't restart it don't close steam just leave it lol

Got a bit of an odd situation going on.
When my friend tames a wild baby dino it gains half its max levels as additional levels.
When I tame wild baby dinos it gains none.
Am I missing something??

relogging and restarting my game did not resolve it for me, but that's good to know that it works for some people

if you guys are stuck at 2%, make sure you have a lots of free space. the patching takes ~80gb even though the download is small

Not a perfect fix, but I turned off menu transitions in the UI settings and I turned my max framerate to 56... not sure if the frame part does anything but im able to play for up to an hour or two without crashes now rather than every 2 minutes... Still a bandaid fix but better than nothing

i did find that turning off fluid interactions reduced the risk of crash for me, but it seems to be very hardware and driver version dependant

seems like it is happening much more with 4000 series cards, especially with frame gen on
