I got a problem that idk how to fix and quite literally mind boggels me. I've been playing ark for 4 years and took like half a year break and now getting back into ark. I play on pc and last time I played I could go into a solo session and become max level, go onto a cluster and be max level, etc. but for some reason on solo sessions I am getting thrown back to only able to be level 27 max. I have gone into the ini files and raised my max level to 120, uninstalled and re-installed my game, but nothing works. I even tested my x-box and I can be max level on it. Tbh any help would be massively appreciated

But the max level is only affected by stuff in the ini settings. That should have been reset

Just have 50-200 level 5 Fems of the game you want to mutate and keep updating your male when you get new stats if you want them to go further.

Nah I only played official pvp and small tribes on console. Gigas had well over 2,000 melee and was low level. I'ma ask around or Google abit and see if I can find anything on it.

Anyone having a problem where they cant transfer off a specific server on psn 1x official pvp? I can transfer a level 1 character but my main character wont transfer off. If it is an ark bug, it's very obscure. But it's more likely an issue with either keybinds or mappings on your end

Right click ark on steam, manage, browse local files.
Go into the ShooterGame folder and then into the Saved folder.
Now, find the folder that is for the map you are playing on at the moment. For example: for The island, this is SavedArksLocal. For Ragnarok, RagnarokSavedArksLocal.

ℹ️ (Savegames can have those extensions:.bak, .ark.The other files in there are your tribe, your character, your uploaded items and so on. Just ignore them)

Your current savefile is simply called <mapname>.ark. For example: Aberration_P.ark for Aberration. Or Ragnarok.ark for Ragnarok.
You'll see that there's a newlaunchbackup file, as well as a anticorruptionbackup file, as well as several .ark files that have long file names with a date and time in them. Those are your backups.

Hi!
So I recently downloaded Ark again after some years with break and I played normally like some hours and then I got a crash log (stupid me didnt take a screenshot).
I was playing on a non-dedicated server with my friend that is the host. After the crash log im unable to join the game (host timeout smt like this). I have searched on multiple tutorial on how to fix it (we are playing on Ragnarok that I downloaded today).

I did following things:

  • Reset computer
  • log in and out of steam
  • downloaded battleye (dunno if that would fix the problem but needed to try)
  • fixing steam folder with crashed files

non of this worked. I am verifying the files and I get a notifications that there are 2 files that are "wrong" and they will be downloaded again. the problem is that Steam doesn't download them automatically like it happened on one tutorial video. Is there a way to delete them manually or is there anything more i can try to fix the timout problem

Person hosting needs to use the website called ipchicken to get the host ip , and thennnnn person 2 that wants to join it. Port is 27015, 77777, 7777

Step 1: Join a single-player game of ARK.
Step 2: Click Tab to open the console.
Step 3: Obtain your server's connection information in the format of IP:PORT.
Step 4: Type: open IP:PORT and press enter

I transferred from fjordur to gen 2 in singleplayer and the wild levels are not in increments of 5 and don't go up very high. Difficulty is still 1.0, and I did a destroywilddinos. Anyone know why?

I just found a bug: if you save on the surface in single Player and load the save, you will be grilled alive, even if its in the middle of the night. The same goes for all your tamed. The game will load in the flames, think 10 sec and then remove the flames again. Too much time to survive. I lost my rock drake out there even though it had 20k health jerboasad

Since everything is updated it would seem it's more of a performance issue. Those will use some older calls on directx and should lighten the load a bit but reduce quality.

Open your saved arks folder and search for your rag save. It will end in .map. Move it to your desktop.

In the same folder find a file with the Ragnarok file name and time stamp that is the newest you can remember it working and change the file name to match the old save and change the .bak extension to .ark

Try finding the auto-backups

Right click ark on steam, manage, browse local files.
Go into the ShooterGame folder and then into the Saved folder.
Now, find the folder that is for the map you are playing on at the moment. For example: for The island, this is SavedArksLocal. For Ragnarok, RagnarokSavedArksLocal.

ℹ️ (Savegames can have those extensions:.bak, .ark.The other files in there are your tribe, your character, your uploaded items and so on. Just ignore them)

Your current savefile is simply called <mapname>.ark. For example: Aberration_P.ark for Aberration. Or Ragnarok.ark for Ragnarok.
You'll see that there's a newlaunchbackup file, as well as a anticorruptionbackup file, as well as several .ark files that have long file names with a date and time in them. Those are your backups.

How do i get bee honey and farm ot

you can approach a bee hive out in the wild and gather with E, but if you don't have a ghillie suit on the bees will come out and sting you

for farming at home, you need to find a hive with a queen inside. if you shoot a hive from a distance, only ones with a queen will spawn drones to attack you

#

once you find one, destroy the hive and approach the queen with rare flowers or green kibble, make sure to wear ghillie suits and bug repellant or else she'll aggro on you

#

you passive tame her, then you can use her to create a bee hive to take home

#

once you place the hive, you need to keep it stocked with rare flowers so it will produce honey

#

if it runs out the hive will eventually demolish itself

Also the aberrant ones are radiation immune, so I can just take them to rockwell. I know everyone recommends megalosaurus and rock drakes, but I wonder if this may be a good choice too

I logged on this morning and my entire settings were gone and when I joined my modded map (caballus) my world and character was gone I went through a lot of videos and figured out how to reroll the world back but now when I rollback the world it ask me to create a new character. I spent like 30 hours on that world, around 2 weeks sometimes just relaxing watching youtube but still, now Im supposed to lose my character because of an ark update? Hi I’m having an issue with playing ark, I don’t believe it’s the game and it might be my computer but I don’t know much about them. Every time I try to play Ark, it loads in and crashes after a few seconds and my computer goes completely black and I can’t control anything, the graphics card fan goes full speed and it’s very loud and it won’t stop unless I crash the computer by long pressing the power button. Sometimes it lets me play but I have to go through that cycle 10 times or more and I don’t want to hurt my computer.

yo im playing primal fear with some friends on a non dedi, n im running into an issue with the eggs for normal dinos (haven't tried any other tier'd dino) they only drop a single egg within the whole 2h we played , however ive been playing with the same settings on single player and they drop like normal
