Giga for most cases but carcha is super powerful since it doesn’t rage and the fact it can regen 100hp a sec is really good id recommend a carcha for OSD farming and mission farming on gen2, a reaper is the best for base defense since its tanky and can slow down enemys and ground flyers aswell as its tale attack

The first when you need to get is a reaper its really easy on gen2 and you can hide loot in them in early game, gigas and carchas are equal imo

On the Crystal Isles, there are sunken dinosaur carcasses in the southeastern swamp region. # copper flare after we all teleport or do they have to wait till we finish the boss

You get everyone through the main door at the volcano then its shuts, run the cave until you get to the teleport pad then teleport 10 players at a time. Once the first 10 teleport, the next 10 then start the teleport until everyone is in the second room (with the maps and drops) where you then all walk into the the final room to fight the overseer. Make sure everyone is in the final room before you go near the Overseer and start it otherwise the door shuts and you get locked out.

you can keep going, there is no limit other than teleporting 10 at a time. Also the same for the tames, 10 at a time i believe.

If you main the island and have element, tek chest piece and hovering over the top of all the bosses with capped shotguns will clear it up easy. You want like as a min 6 people doing this. Its easy with that method.

You can tek suit all the way to the teleport pad and not kill anything also. Be careful of purlovias, keep high.

Tamed dinos do not receive any Tribal Experience from crafting as a fellow tribemember would (Unless that tribemember is sitting on a rideable dino when you are crafting items)

Is there a differece in XP gain for the dino if the originator sits on the dino or another tribe member? Wiki doesn't say.

(xbox)So me and my friend aren’t new but we haven’t ever really done non-dedicated. So we’re doing pve at the moment but we can’t pick up wild dinos, so we switch it to pvp but then I get a 30 minute timer whenever I spawn. We’ve put the respawn interval up and down neither have worked.

Does anyone know how to read this? I am trying to figure out what is causing my game to crash, i am running mods, but even with them disabled it still does it. Ive had it crash multiple times when the Alpha Broodmother was below half health, but then went in with infinitestats and got through it without an issue. Got through the Megapithicus without any infinitestats just my normal breed team of Theris, and it crashed again on the dragon. Went in with infinite stats and got through the dragon just fine. Then right at the end of the tek cave it crashes everytime now. I havent tried infinite stats on the cave yet cause i kind of rage quit last night lol
Any help would be appreciated

I strugle to get carchars and gigas to spawn in my map. I have tried to destroywilddinos and to prevent hibernaton but i only saw one giga. I play with the immersive taming mod so i killed the giga to tame another but it never came. I do not know what i should do. Yes i know where gigas and carchas spawn.

How often do cave dinos respawn on singleplayer? I'm looking for a desmo but they only spawn in this one cave on the island (with the fjordur dinos everywhere mod) and I kinda killed all but one of them while trying to tame one. I went and farmed more blood packs with it that is probably healthy and came back to find it's still empty

You would look for TheIsland.ark and rename it to TheIsland_backup.ark
the you look for something similar to this: TheIsland_07.10.2017_14.12.35.bak
and rename it to TheIsland.ark

Eh either way if there's no backup file then that means you didn't play on it for at least 15m, or whatever auto save duration you have set. Or, something else went wrong with it.

Without the backup though you may be looking at starting fresh

@velvet basin only private servers can increase past max 150. Single player doesnt give the option on xbox. You'll have to buy a private server from nitrado to increase max level. Sorry

@stray summit only way to do so is increase all blueprint loot quality, or with a personal server to do so and edit the item blueprint there.

So me and my sister sometimes play split screen ark together. (She doesn’t have a console/pc to play w me) but we got ourselves in a situation where every time she joins, the game crashes. I’m not sure what’s causing this. It has to do with her location in game. How can we fix this?

I have recently transferred some podded tames from a nitrado server to a single player server. The tames reset to level one. Saddle deleted, names removed and colours reset. They show their stats in the pod but once thrown they lose their data. I have exited without saving and tried this 3 times with the same result. Are they lost causes?

I got a dedicated server on a Linux vps, i tried one hosting and after a few days it started lagging like shii, i changed the hosting and got a stronger vps which made it smoother yes but after a few days its still laggy, it is not world progression since i moved the saved files and it restarts and updates every day by itself, it lags more and more each day, maybe logging? No clue what it is

It only applies to offical servers and when you can transfer items between servers.

So basically every 15 mins I believe it is offical servers save and any item that is in your inventory when that save occurs, you will then be able to transfer that item to another server.

If you get an item in your inventory after the save, you will have to wait for the next one before you can transfer the item.

It's to stop people dupping.

Appdata is a hidden folder and you'll need to set it visible by clicking View and ticking Hidden Items in File Explorer to see it

There will be multiple StuidoWildcard folders, only one of them has the files- Check them all until you find it

Couple things: I have played Ark since day 1 but the last few years I haven't played much until recently when trying out mods. Where can I go that shows all the dinos that have been added the past few years? I know of some but not all. Mainly only one I know about is the Deinonychus.

And also, which non DLC maps can you find Velonosaurs? I came from console and won't be getting DLC on PC since they are forcing us to upgrade to ASA in a few months.
