ok so i found a video on hte matter as well.

you use getallstate first to locate the dinos and their IDs

then you use teleporttoactorlocation with the specific ID to teleport to the dino

So combined together, this is how you can locate and teleport to any living dino on your world. Thank you both for the help @polar sandal

I am running a private server in my house and everything is working great for multiple people... however I have a question... Whenever a mod updates, or whenever Ark updates, there isn't really a trigger to make the server stop, update, and restart. It'll happily run forever on the outdated version until I notice and perform the actions manually. While I know this might be a preferred way to do it for some, does anyone have any suggestions or personal experience making the game detect a new version change and automate the update and restart? Conversely, is there a predictable way to detect when these changes will happen so I can schedule it? Thanks in advance. --Bob the Builder

I had 9 gigas, 33k hp, and like 60% md on each of em. Lvl 60somethings.
After killing a single lvl 9giga, they were all at critical hp.
I didnt lose anyone, but they were all sub 15% hp

Well my server has been on and off, since like 2016, so anytime they add anything i have to go out and kill entire areas for respawns.

So I have a person in my cluster that after they get "arked" on transfer their character can't transfer maps from within the cluster? Not through awesome spyglass, not through the vanilla obs. Has anyone come across this bug? It's only happened to them out of maybe 300 people in the cluster, and we are trying to figure out why they can't transfer when their arked character comes back..... They have verified files and found nothing out of the ordinary.

Okay well in that case lol this is the step by step scenario.

Step 1. The survivor is on the island (for example) and uses an awesome Teleporter to travel from one map to another

(its on our servers on every map for ease of travel)

Step 2. Survivor chooses a new server map to transfer to, we shall say Scorched Earth (for example)

Step 3. The survivor successfully has transferred to Scorched Earth! HOWEVER upon landing they notice they've lost their ENTIRE inventory and hotbar. AND they cannot transfer off the map they've just landed on, they can only move around on the map they've transferred to.

Step 4. Survivor now is stuck on map and can't get off via awesome teleporter (the way they got on) OR the obelisks.

No crash occurs before/during/after transfer.

Its like their character got bugged out during transfer (on our cluster we refer to loosing your entire inventory for no reason getting arked)

So to combat the fact they've now lost their entire inventory and they can't move off the map they make a new character.

... this has ONLY effect this one person in our cluster. Its happened multiple times. At least 4? That we've been made aware of.

We have a nitrado run cluster (i know, I know)
We could not locate any duplicated files ...

Has anyone experienced this?

Eh it's hard to say. If they lost their items after transfering, can transfer to but not back, it seems like that would be a server setup issue. However if it's only effecting a single person, then not so much rather hardware for the person with the issue. If there's any way they can send the crash report you mentioned to you then Post it here it may help

If both parents are mutated you will be seeing the mutations wrong. It will combine the number mutations from both parents and still only show the mutations from one of them.

Best way to breed is keep the mutations on the paternal side and keep maternal mutation free. That way you don’t muddle the mutation count.

You aren’t guaranteed to get mutations every time but you will know if you got a new mutation when you see the baby is 2 lvls higher then the mutated parent.

If he has you added as a friend on steam he can attempt to join your active session. He ain't looking on the damn server list he's just clicking your name. If he can't see your session the. Change your privacy settings. The server won't always be on the server list. It don't work like that. It delimits after like 2,500 and loads random ones each time so I til he adds it as a favorite, which dosent even always work, joining you off a friend list is the only other option

Again if he can't see you, that's because you have it set that way and need to change it.

If he does that, and gets an error upon joining feel free to post it here but as far as I'm concerned your just a pretty rude dude talking to people trying to assist you that way so, honestly I kinda hope you don't get it

It can sometimes take longer for gigas/chars to spawn than other dinos. I would give it at least an hour. I get the same thing on my rag server with no mods

NP. I doubt this is the prolem since you've done so many wipes, but they also share a spawn with titanosaurs, so those could be blocking them as well. But again, sounds unlikely

Right on. Only stat on a giga worth doing really is attack. Ideally they tame at high HP. Any point into HP gives like 2 hp.

on dododex there are 2 multipliers that control taming, which are speed and food drain. My friend started up an ark server for us to play on, but in his game.ini file, we cant seem to find the option that controls taming speed. we already set food drain to 2x.

Hey when I breed dinos their level will be the level I tamed the parents at is there a way to change it to be their current levels (e.g. I’m breeding a level 70 and level 90 megatherium and am getting level 40 baby’s)

Not really, it's not like gen2 where you press jump to go up and crouch to go down. Bloodstalkers are great in lunar for that reason
