So I received some crystal wyvern eggs from a rando on my valguero server and thought hey, let’s raise them. Problem is, I haven’t played crystal isles, and I only just now realized they just don’t eat. I checked the wiki and sure enough they need something specifically from Crystal Isles so now I’m worried and upset that they’ll just end up dying. Is there really no other way of keeping them alive/getting the food they need other than to harvest on Crystal Isles?? Why even let them hatch on other servers then 😭?

with the way the ark gui is designed your fps will always drop almost half when you open your inventory. if you run a higher fps on average though your fps in inventory will also be higher. this is a limitation in part by both the game engine and your CPU/GPU. mostly the engine though

U can go a little lower if u have an otter on u with as much melee as possible, or much lower if u have the buff from drinking wyvern milk, which gives u 787 hypo

So I know you can't normally tame dinos in caves. But given Asgard itself counts as a cave, and you can tame dinos there, can you tame anything in the cave that has the lightning wyverns in? (not the wyverns themselves cus I know you have to steal the eggs but say I found something else I wanted to tame)

Not all caves are full of untamable stuff. I believe that you can tame in the cave that is basically a luna cave (in Midgard) .

It is usually the ones that have creatures with higher levels.

Well, you find a good spot for harvesting, and build yourself an outpost, and keep the bronto/stego there.

If you got a wyvern, then transportation is easy.

Same with metal mining. I would build close the metal, including forges, fabricator, etc., and mine and smelt there, then build what I need and take it back to my main base.

Unofficial is hosted by other players in the community. They can have custom rates, whatever map is available on the game without mods since you're on console (steam can use mods), whatever drops they want, dino spawns, etc. The owners of the unofficials control it all, and have their own rules (or none at all if they prefer)

With 300 armor saddles you can easily do bosses with those, 35k is probably okay, but with those saddles you can probably get away with no hp leveling and go all melee

If you download too many mods at the same time ark doesn’t like that and might leave a few bits of code from each mod out

Each mushroom is used for another light pet to tame (Bulbdog - Aquatic, Shinehorn - Aggeravic, Featherlight - Auric, Glowtail - Ascerbic).
On top of that aggeravic heal 0.05% Health each over time (stacking) and they provide immunity against the pointy red mushrooms on Aberration and remove the effect by one second per mushroom.
Aquatic mushrooms do the same for the blue freezing mushroom on Aberration and regenerate 7.5% Water each when eaten, but also drain -10% Food.
On top of acting as narcoberries, ascerbic mushrooms also protect against the poison from the mushrooms in the radiation zone.
Auric mushrooms simply act as stimberries.

When youre trying to log into a modded server for the first time. Your game will try to load the game first, without the mods installed. The game need to install all the mods, but its still trying to load you into the game. The game wont let you load into the server, so you get the Timeout. The mods are still downloading. Once you have the mods installed and you try to log in to the server it will load the mod data (the part where youll see ##%) thats loading the mods for the server. That means the mods are finished downloading.

The part in the bottom right is for downloading mods. The loading mods in the middle of your screen is the mods loading for the server

I'm trying to join a friends non-dedicated server from/on steam, but we are having a lot of issues joining one another. I get to the part of Finding Game Attempting to join a game from invite or direct join... and then I timeout. (It still has the accept/cancel options and the text even after I hit accept on getting timed out so should I just wait or is this a bug?) That is fine, the level distribution is broken on the island. You will need a mod or to rewrite the files in order to make higher levels spawn more frequently.

since your on Xbox we can't get into your files, which unfortunately means there's little that can be done. there is a super small chance that logging out of your profile, launching game, then sign in at the prompt will pull old save files from the cloud however as far as the save on your Xbox it was likly corrupt upon crash and is... well gone
