Ok, hopefully an easy answer: I have two servers up, one for The Island at lowest difficulty (maximum wild dino level 30) and another for Lost Island at difficulty 4 with a max dino level of 120.
So if I have my bred tames from Lost Island at level 150-210 (with imprint at 100) and basic saddles with 25 armor, is the standard rex rush still sufficient for alpha bosses on The Island, or will I have to strategize and really go for those high armor saddles?

most the rexes have 300% melee and +20k health

(Im aware the dragon does percentage damage, Ill spend more time on that strategy)

Not everything. I think all saddles have to be made at the smithy and some armors like Flak can’t be made at the fabricator. Ngl seems like an odd development decision

Let’s get to Soul Finder next. It looks just like the Transfer Tool, but is your best friend on finding the dinos, especially if you can’t remember which storage box you put the trapped dino in…
Once you have equipped it, left click, it will bring the menu with search criteria. The range of it is a 50 foundations wide radius. Don’t worry about typing anything there really. Click that Search button. (Yes, I know! I have too many dinos! Avoid these numbers, otherwise you will go insane.

In the search bar you can search either by the dino type or if you have named your favourite dino, just look for it by name. Don’t worry, I will not judge you if you have misplaced your favourite dino! I do that a lot too… Once you have found what you need, simply click on the name and it will be added into your inventory. It will show up on the left hand side just above the chat once it’s been added.

I need help. My baby desmodus are dying. Maewing is full if blood packs with nursing effect 157, it's turned on, they're in range. There's also a tribe mate char in render area. I'm in the tender area. I see them feeding but then they suddenly stop. Is there a new update? Blood packs or meat? I do have about 15 babies to 1 maewing. Lost about 5 of then, I looked at their feeding, they are initially. Then just stopped at all

hello, My friend runs a Ryzen 3, gtx 1050 ti, 16gb ram, it runs the game before but we stopped playing ark for awhile, but for some reason it keeps crashing now after she starts a new game, we tried updating the drivers, verifying the file, reinstalling, remove all the mods, but keeps crashing every time after starting a new game.

if it's a flyer you need to turn on allow flyer speed leveling

It’s not a flyer, for example- if I take a parasaur, it may come out with 240% speed but each level put into speed afterward increases it by ~3% no matter how I experiment with the settings. Ideally I would like the parasaur to come out with 100% speed like default, but then each subsequent level put into speed would increase it by 5 or 10%

On The Island they only show up in yellow and red crates in terms of supply drops, but are extremely difficult to find. Cave loot is better, particularly the water caves since it could spawn in any of them (colors: Blue/Yellow/Red and level 50-60-70 required to open them).

You should be able to open task manager and check your PC RAM usage. If it goes above 85%, that'll be the issue.

The most i've seen a server use is around 12GB or so for Gen 2 because of all the dinos on the map. The Island shouldn't be anywhere near that much. could be other issues as well.

On the server laptop, i'd open task manager and have it filter by RAM usage and play like normal, but keep an eye on the resource usage on the server. Ark servers are a bit harder to troubleshoot because they usually just close instead of giving a short popup log.

Also make sure you have plenty of disk space on the server too, low space could just cause it to crash.

the saves for servers are also in the saved folder (not sure where they put SP saves)
and as far as I could tell, crash logs aren't there but that could just be because I reset my version.

honestly I'd suggest against changing any stats or resistances, they're quite balanced even for solo

in general, if offset (difficulty slider) is at 1, then the setting "overrideOfficialDifficulty" (which is set to 5 when you click on the max difficulty checkbox, 1 by default, 5 on official) is multiplied by:

Hi an anyone familiar with ark server manager please help me out? I have a spare pc id like to set up my own server on but im running into problems

My portforwarding is correct im 99% sure
I added the server using my spare pcs public ip but it shows that the server is not responding in my favorites list and the server manager also says Status: Running , Availability: Available - No Loopback. I went into my routers setting and used smth called Open NAT not sure if it helped tho

Can you add and try joining the server using the server's local IP address? I always have issues joining via external address from my home (I host and play from the same house).

Make sure you add the port # after the IP address in the favorites.

Also, make sure you update/verify the server a few times after initially installing the server data. Sometimes ASM needs that process an extra time.

If you add it's local address via your Steam server list, only you can see that. The Server section in Steam is only visible to you.

They would need your external IP address, which you can find by using something like IPChicken (dont post that here) or some other tool to find your external IP.
