That's odd, because specifically minerals seem to not respawn in my game. I made a trip to herbivore island on the start of this game, mined every scrap of metal there....over a month passed ingame since then, it had not respawned. Trees, dinos and other organic stuff respawn....but mineral nodes don't.

Yeah dedicated is where you play on a server that's not hosted on your computer, non-dedicated is where your computer is running it as a server but you can also just be playing by yourself, it uses the same save game as your single player (hope that explained it ok)

But if you're on single player / non dedicated mode then you need to go into areas to get stuff to spawn, like keep visiting those areas unless you have hibernation turned off (I believe it's on by default for single player and non-dedicated games because of computer resources)

So if you give it a while and keep visiting those areas every so often it should eventually spawn one in the locations

Usually a giga spawns at least once on one of the island mountain ranges north of the map, I even have -preventhibernation lauch setting too. Am I just unlucky? Also do other than giga and carchar sharing spawns, do other mountain creatures clog up the spawn for them?

Afaik the respawn thingy runs on a schedule and then may or not spawn in a given dino, even if you've killed off other dinos

From a wiki editor (posted here):

manager goes on the 4h/24h cycle the moment the initial spawn happens. the hours pass, manager checks if the population is too low, if it is, spawns a dino. if it's not, does nothing. timer gets reset anyway.
so the "respawn time" can be anything between 0 and 4/24 hours.

When the friend mode timer runs out and you get forcefully dismounted, you lose a bit around 10% or more taming efficiency, if you get dismounted after taming progress hits a threshold (around 20% for higher level carchar) it dismounts you only losing 0.1% taming efficiency. Then you can feed it corpses again for the next round.

Just off what I think I've heard, i think you actually have separate config files for different servers in a cluster. So maybe you need a different server install for each map, on the same machine, and then link them with the cluster id.. however that works

are you on singleplayer? Unless there are specific wild dinos you want to tame, do destroyall beehive_c 1 and then destroywilddinos , that will remove all "dead" beehives and force respawn of queens. Then give it about 20 mins and check the spawn areas.

read the patch notes but Fjordur creatures are amazing. Love the Desmodus (bat) which make a elixir in its saddle with 200 blood. That gives insta 30% tame (when food in dino) and 30% imprint even newly hatched also any tribemates imprint not just yourself

same as me, gigas and carchars have an interesting spawn. 1 usually spawns at a time, and a few hours or a few in-game days in order to spawn in. Someone told me that, which absolutely sucks, even if one spawns in lvl may be low... I did manage to encounter 1 in my singleplayer run, killed it because it was lvl 10. Just periodically checked every few days in-game around the mountains north of the redwoods, you'll find one eventually.

Also kill any undesirables to allow the next one to spawn in, 50/50 chance of being either a carchar or giga, i used a metal trap and a thyla

i presume its the island map's water caves? If so, a good basilo should be enough for both caves, the western sea cave (easy) will have some eels and jellyfish, sharks salmon, piranha, mantas. The eastern sea cave (hard) will have more powerful creatures in it, mosas, tusos, dunkleos, basically everything from all over the ocean and alphas will be present, the bary and sarco will be helpful with the land portion of the eastern cave. Either way both artifacts are underwater.

primitive scuba is fine, just make spare tanks. Issue with non-ridden basilo is that below a certain depth (which is above the depth those caves are in) it won't fight back.

If pve is on, carrying dinos is disabled by default. There is a checkbox that allows it. It's called something like AllowPvEDinoPickup. The name should be obvious, even if I got it wrong.

I think Eclipse was saying that if you raise the wild level cap to a high enough level, you can get the stats you want. It's just a matter of figuring out what the cap should be for the given dino/stat.
No idea what you need for an 8730% melee wyvern, that sounds insane 🙂

I suppose if I were in your shoes I might start with increasing the wild dino level to whatever the max possible happens to be.

The green ob is on the SE edge of the Sanctuary (the city) and isn't a hard area to set up a starter base in. Build at least a shelter with a bed there, and then make forays into the Wastelands and harvest corrupted wood trees.
