alright so I just had a discussion with someone who claims that bosses deal 300% less damage in singleplayer (or was it that tames do 300% more damage to the boss?), anyways, his evidence was a 5 year old update log which came out before the singleplayer overhaul that added the current singleplayer settings we have now that increases the damage and health of tamed dinos in singleplayer, as I cannot find any evidence anywhere the 300% thing still exists, I doubt it still does, but the guy insists it does so I am asking for second opinions here if anyone can confirm this is a thing on top of the damage and health buffs dinos in sp get in general

dinos and bosses in singleplayer dont change at all from their official counterparts, except for the 4 titans which iirc take 3x extra damage
singleplayer settings is what changes your dinos

Each green house roof, sloped roof, or wall provides a 15% faster growth rate while consuming the normal amount or fertilizer, walls need to have a roof or sloped roof attached to them to give the bonus though, and you can have upwards of 350%+ bonus on crop growing speed

trying to tank a fireball on your mount is like trying to eat a nuclear bomb. avoid them at all costs because the rider will most likely get instantly one shot from 1 fireball and half they time they just death stare you until you let your guard down for half a nanosecond.

@marsh moth I used to religiously use a Griffin as I found it to be the quickest and most maneuverable for my needs. However egg stealing grew boring, so now I use land dinos (usually when I have breeding going just in case). Much more fun. On a Thyla, it was still pretty easy.

i usually like to find my best stats have them into a breeding pair and then get atleast 5-10 females mating with 1 male. they all have the exact same stat lvls so you only have to see a lvl increase if theres a mutation

then you have 2 seperate groups of each consisting of 1 male and 5-10 females. you kill all the babies that does not have a mutation into the desired stat (keep colors if you so choose) and after getting one mutation you breed the mutated stat in and get the 5-10 females and male with the mutated stat effectively getting rid of the original 6-11 wolves

if you havent really bred for stats and such id suggest watching a few videos of syntac breeding and his breeding guide it should clear up some things as well

Technically the stats on the females dont matter, just as long as their mutation counter is 0. For convenience though, most people have the same base start stats as the unmutated male, or 0 points in their stats

Thats not really the case lol. Breeding in pvp is typically more optimized and efficient than most operations in pve, as the goal isnt to get 10 or 20 mutations, but to cap an entire line in the shortest possible time. It takes a lot more work

Breeding range is confusingly different in singleplayer, and I don't think the mechanic treats different dinos differently per se. It seems to involve a combination of minimum proximity and (from what I feel like I've observed so far, although it's hard to accept) dinos facing certain directions.

Hopefully I understood your implied question correctly (which was how to ensure that they continue breeding)

I would say the size of the dino affects the area too, a rex for example you can easily fit 12 into one male's range but shadowmanes are a very special bad case scenario

I can fit 4 of them max but even then its glitchy at best

One solution I've found that works sometimes is to build a structure around the dinos, place them near one another and start them mating, and any females who would not mate I would place on the ceiling of the structure, and then I'd remove the ceiling and allow them to drop down

Even when floating in the air above the male, a female would often begin mating anyway

The wiki lead me to the thought that you can't fill a fish basket with fish like coelacanth unless you intend to tame them. Is this correct?

putting a fish in a basket allows you to transport it. you can use the action again and release it into another lake, or feed it to a shadow

as far as getting them a long distance it may not be relatively easy. they have a timer once filled, you can just try and fly fast or use various "cheesy" methods

They have 24hrs from the moment you put them in there and that timer resets if you were to take them out and place them in it again

The timer only ticks down while the server is active, so if the server is down your items will be safe.

Well you can run both together and it'll work but the remapped dinos will still be preventing alphas spawning (as is a commonly reported issue in the discussions for the mod), breaking compatibility with any dino editing mods that actually need to edit the dinos, and of course if loaded without the mod they'll still disappear/break

So dino storage will let you turn them back into a vanilla dino- retaining the colours, stats, everything. but you can then remove ACD and they'll remain\

Yes, but with more potential customisation.
So by default, there's about 3 dozen different coloursets any dino can spawn with. So it might spawn with a 'blue' colourset, and spawn with a bunch of blues. Or the volcanic one, and spawn in reds and blacks. Only a 20% chance by default, but it's easy to make that 100%
You can also make it 'literally just any colour' (this includes genesis colours, which the other mod doesn't). Also easy to set up like that

There must be an issue with most servers that I attempt to join. I have NO clue what it is because it is in completely different servers on unofficial. But when I join said server, within around 3-5 minutes I get kicked/lagged out no matter what I do or what other people do. I can’t play most of my favorite servers because of this. is you are using steam to play ark you might want to check what server list your using make sure its on official or unofficial servers
