Just noticed in game rules that tamed dinos per level hp and dmg are 0.17 while wild is 1.0 as every other stat is 1.0 too. Does that mean a dino becomes weaker if tamed and after I level 10 level t-rex to 60 level putting all into damage it still will get less damage than a wild t-rex that spawned with 60 level already?

No. The settings are essentially multipliers that apply to parts of the stats (ie tamed, wild, imprint, taming bonuses, etc)
However each of the base values are different, so they won’t necessarily be higher or lower. Its like saying “1x of 100 is less than 0.5x of 10000000”
Also keep in mind that tamed levels are applied as percentages of the base stat, not a static value

Theres a switch on whatever hosting service you’re using to Auto Unlock all engrams. If you want to have all engrams without needing the level to make it, you need to be in admin console using GCM (GiveCreativeMode) this’ll unlock all engrams and you can craft things without needing to grind for the resources

It depends on the server host. You can make a backup at any time and roll back to it, but some hosts automate the process

I think the default is every 15 minutes (auto). Afaik, some hosting platforms and admins impliment their own custom backup plans, to allow for more flexibility, etc.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was the case with GTX's servers when I had my last Ark server up about 2 years ago. Now, even though I have the server set to save every 15 minutes, (not create a backup) the staff claim that it only actually saves every 2 hours and is something the game does automatically. Also, even though I have the server set to my time zone and the server itself is in my timezone, the timestamps on all of the snapshots are way off. The staff say they can't do anything to change that. It sounds really sketchy to me.

I experimented recently and spawned one in at the start of a playthrough and used it as a mobile base for a bit, and learned fairly quickly that (1) it's the slowest dino in the game and (2) pretty much everything in the water wants a piece of it. So yeah, flower/shroom factory.

There's nothing special about it though

if you can click some folders to get to a word document in Documents>My Word Files, and then copy one of the files- it's an identical process

And you really should be backing up your save data. if you reckon copying a folder is difficult, restoration from auto backups will be far more complex.

Valguero and fjordur are really good for black pearls. Rag has a spot near a Spawn with pearls that you can easily get without scuba

i can prolly look at adding this to the maps but there's always the question of "how often will this be misread"

(and i'll look into it when other more important tasks are done, which can be next month.)

manager goes on the 4h/24h cycle the moment the initial spawn happens. the hours pass, manager checks if the population is too low, if it is, spawns a dino. if it's not, does nothing. timer gets reset anyway.

so the "respawn time" can be anything between 0 and 4/24 hours.

for most spawners this isn't a reliable metric as they'll count a lot more dinos than they spawn on their own.

If a normal para can spawn there there’s an 8% chance a Tek para can too

Looking and haven't seen anything, but since the update and my server restarted we are having weird issues. Gates are mounting sideways(parallel to the ground) in the frames like a trap door, dino stats are dropping considerably when applying levels ie. going from 601% to 549% when applying a level, tamed a Giga to level 147 that has over 1 million topor but barely any weight or stamina, island is overpopulated with dinos (not necessarily a bad thing as performance has not suffered).

I just fought SteinBjorn with 15 shadowmanes, a bunch of deinos and yutys and some other stuff, one ridiculously long fight later and many dead deinos, I beat him

the fight took absolute ages because his damage reduction is insane, is there any way to bypass it besides using gigas?

my giga luck has been horrible on fjordur and even with dino finder mod I havent seen a single high level one :l
