Hello, I was running a non dedicated coop playtrough together with a friend of mine on the lost island map, the game crashed and now everytime I try to re-enter the map, the loading time takes an absolutely ridiculously long time now, it keeps getting stuck on the "PGS_physics" part of the loading screen for ages.
Is there any way i can fix this? I am getting very annoyed by having to wait a ridiculous amount of time everytime I load this world.

I already verified the game files on steam, hibernation is off as well

actually I just double checked, it starts at 4gb ram usage but slowly climbs and climbs to 10 gb when loading when its stuck at the physics loading part

what I wonder is though, why is it stuck at physics loading, I never had the loading screen being stuck anywhere for more than 2 seconds ever

That's just where it starts loading the savefile itself I believe, it's different for each map. More dinos - longer load time

We won't know if anything is overspawning until you check the amount of spawns.

So for example, I normally stand facing the direction I want the tap to point while placing the vertical pipe.

I have this problem where I can't dye any items because when I try to the item just reverts back to its original color after I click on another section to dye or close out the dye menu entirely. I've tried double-clicking, applying paint, doesn't work. The dye is also always white despite not having any white in my inventory, and I've only installed about 6 mods since dyeing last work, and I'm going through each one removing it to see which messed it up, but so far about 4 have had no effect on the issue.

I am really not that experienced with Ark modding, so just a little question - is the header ([AnyColourSets]) supposed to be by default in the .ini file, or something we have to add in manually if we want to play around with its settings?

This mod will print its header after first load, but as a general rule, mod headers won't be in there. Mods can choose to print it (the mod having a config set to a non-0 default value will also do this whether directed to or not). Most mods don't print their config in order to reduce clutter on the page, so if a config isn't there, you'll have to add it yourself

let me get this straight. My tactic to find best rexes is to: knock down every near-max level, check it's stats while knocked down on dododex and look for 30-35+ in HP/melee? Mostly I see 25 points in something max and a lot of wasted points so I'm guessing im just unlucky right?

30+ is really lucky and most people underestimate how lucky it actually is

that being said, knocking out a rex is the easy part. shove some food down its throat and check the post tame. pre tame is very general so unless its stats are actual garbage pre tame, tame it anyway.

If I have a lvl 1 rex for example has these stats (shown below)

Since you cannot have a dino with 225 mutated lvls, can you go past that cap by lvling the stat with domestic lvls

Anyone had any problems with dinos disappearing on Fjordur? Went caving on my shadowmane and got killed by a desmodus, when I respawned and made it back to the cave my mount was no where to be found. No death message, I ghosted to see if it got stuck under the map but couldn't find it anywhere. It appears that it just straight up got deleted. Not sure what happened and curious if anyone else has experienced this or if my system just glitched out

also just realised I missed the whole point of the question - personally a name format I like to use is MBRD 60H 70S 80W 90D for a male breeder that has 60 wild levels in health, 70 in stam, 80 in weight and 90 in melee damage
you don't need to include the oxy food or movespeed as on most dinos these are wasted stats (gasbags and daeodons being the most notable exceptions)

Things like spreadsheets are only beneficial if you have no other way of keeping track of stats during the consolidation portion of setting up a line. After that you’re looking for a variation in a single stat per line. Never found them to be worth the time and effort to create.

I don’t have any specific alternatives. Just in general I think taking extra steps are unnecessary. All I do is name the parents by what stats they have that I want from them and breed to consolidate.

That sounds like more of a "you" thing, tbh. That is to say, you may have an easier time retaining the important info in your head. Notes can be helpful for those who aren't as on top of that (like me, for example).

I can assure you I’m not anything special when it comes to brainpower lol. I use notes too, just by naming and comparing in game. Making spreadsheets and alternative sources to compare too is just adding an extra step and extra work adding more time to an already time consuming process.

Ah, ok, so we're agreed that notes are helpful (especially early on).
Spreadsheets don't have to be any more complicated to use, though, compared to, say, raw text, especially if you have easy access to them (I keep a tablet in my lap), and if you're comfortable using them.

The only exception to this is the Maewing. They can drop any egg size.

No. You don’t need an egg source from all sizes either. Kibble will scale down when using it so you can use any kibble to match the effects of lower tiered kibbles. Knowing this you’ll have all the kibble you ever need from the standard boss tame lines.

Depending on how far you already are I would start with superior kibble from argy eggs because you’re gonna have them for harvesting and building, so you’ll have them around. Then when you get ready for boss lines you’ll take either Theri or Rex of exceptional, and yuty for extraordinary. I’ve found this to be the most efficient way to progress.

Rocket hits a large aoe, but does less damage the further out you go.

If every hit looks direct, you'll likely find some parts of the hive are meshed when it takes less damage

Depends on usage. Crossbow is good for taming, compound bow is more useful for pvp with metal arrows.

You typically want to use either longneck or crossbow. It's dependent on the dino you're trying to tranq, for instance a giga would need the faster shots and torpor from a crossbow, whereas a bear with lower health would need to longneck since it does less damage.

Compound bows really don't have a use for pve
