It's pretty low yield (compared to the time you put into it) no matter which way you farm it though - the lowest effort method is probably to have a stryder where artifact of shadows spawns and pick up ~30 ele every respawn (assuming it doesn't get randomly killed, which it probably will)

I'm just starting to realize how shit my 200.4% "Ascendant" Long neck in reality is. Initially I thought it "may have" rolled low and there may be better mastercraft ones out there, but I literally just found a Journeyman BP for it with 225.5% which just feels asinine compared to being not 1 but two rarity quality lower.

Oh grapple absolutely works. Up until the point you find that while you were away an Onyc ate your corpse. IIrc grappling loot bags makes you drag your self to it which is not healthy when the bag is in a voidzone.

I think it's due to the tiny bag have all the drag weight of all your previous items which will likely be a lot heavier than your fresh empty inventory clone, but that's a guess, maybe they are un grappleable under any circumstances to avoid multiplayer pvp griefing or something.

200% damage journeyman going up by 20% for higher rarities and down by the same for lower is a pretty solid standard on when a blueprint is worth keeping, assuming official settings (note that this isn't a /good/ blueprint, but just one worth keeping
I've never seen a chart of "how far quality ranges overlap into each other", partially because it's sort of like a bell curve for each - you can get /really/ good blueprints at lower rarities, it's just exceedingly rare

You should probably just keep the best bp you find of each rarity for now tbh - you'll get a feel for what's good or bad on the settings you play on (scrolling up makes it seem like you're not playing offi) over time that way regardless

Yeah, this is the craziest damage roll I ever seen on a journeyman bp. And yeah, for now my judgement on blueprints was "if it has higher damage/armor than the previous BP for the same item, I throw out the old, keep the new.

I didn't invest too heavily into crafting skill, I'm at 200% and sweating blood to push my max level cap further little by little and currently trying to get HP to 300 then maybe some movement speed as that seems best at keeping you alive.

I was thinking of backing up my save and maybe rolling a second character to power level, somehow invite it into my single player tribe of my main and just put all level up points solely into crafting on that char.

I've only played single player a bit (and only on Fordur, although that behavior shouldn't vary afaik), and I had singleplayer unselected and used the prevent hibernation launch option as well. I saw resources taking a long time to come back in general, but not those in particular, so not sure. I wouldn't assume they'd be any different from, say, a metal node.
I don't have a solution, but a good alternative for decently easy organic polymer, even early game. Are you familiar with Dvergheim?

There's a biolum area at the bottom of a pit with numerous small, green, glowing organic polymer plants that are harvested by hand. More than you might be able to cary out. There are also aberrant raptors, ravagers, carnos, snakes, scorpies, and centipedes. But you can sneak in and out if you're patient. The easiest way to get there is via the Vardiland South - W teleportation point.

Far simpler way to get it than the swamp, imo, in that it's faster to reach the resource itself, and those plants seem to respawn quickly, even in sp.

I play on someone’s hosted server and they gave me their rates but whatever they’re doing to tweak it does not work on single player and everything grows up in under five minutes but needs 6 hours to imprint

late response but not necessarily the case.... the more dmg it does the more likely the creature is to die. i have a 499% acsendant crossbow. i use tranq arrows to knock out a rex in about 10-15 shots. i use this on a dire bear it dies. so always put in your weapon dmg % into dododex to check the chances of death

yeah its annoying. if you dont whistle stop immedialty then you end up losing more rex. watch out for yuty. they dont affect rexes but if you got theris on you they are basically screwed. assuming your doing tek cave

in terms of better damage quality, weapon damage corresponds to torpor. bears are one of the few creatures who will die to tranq arrows but they can heal from corpses so its negligible

instant torpor does scale with damage % but pretty sure the overtime doesn't. so for arrows (lets assume 200%) you'll be doing twice the damage for less than 1.5 the torpor :P Eclipse says it scales nevermind :P always use more damage %

overall its still better to use a more damage % weapon but its more likely to kill the tame.

not fixable, you can set the tether range really high, but it'll still teleport your friend. only solution is to do your own dedicated server
