Ark sorcery: A slope of 15 height-offset walls up to 1 wall high. All snapped to the same plane of floor foundations. No Mods here.
You can use any of the offsets to raise the height of ceilings, or create crawl spaces. Vid on my YT.

With the Bindaburg I tried to create something, that might actually function as a medieval castle (kinda). It got so out of hand, that I had to stitch (badly) three individual pictures for the labeled image. It doesn't really show but I tried to pay attention to where I placed access to walls and gates, and to the different heights of my walls. And yes, it has murder holes.

pull a pillar through the ceiling (make sure you take the lowest snappoint else it will stick through the stairs)..
extend the pillars into the floor.

is there any way to make a barn entrance with sloped roofs here? and pillars on either side, with an open entryway? i can't figure out how to get the roof up, the second sloped roof doesn't snap on (another screenshot coming when i can post again in 4 minutes)

Bjargborg on Fjordur. From the harbor boats can continue up to the farms and watermill via a lock and then via a smaller lock to the viking church and the main gatehouse for the keep above.

EDIT: For those wondering, the water is a mod that gives you water blocks to place down like foundations. 🙂 it's swimmable and drinkable!
made a fish tank, along with my manta, ichthy, and a few coelacanths and sabertooth salmon! even decorated the bottom of it with plants and rocks!!

can someone explain to me...how...when i delete a celing tile that I hung these tatch walls off of, which is located many walls up, that not only did the wall collapse, but the 3 pillars you see that go deep into the ground AND the metal ceiling....this issue recreates itself no matter how many times I try. (trying to resolve for a wall height issue between top of structur eabove water and foundation support below water)you can see where the wall doesn't reach the foundation below...that's fine it's a gap...i just don't want all my walls 'hanging helplessly" that would collapse if a ceiling was blown up or removed. But even ths pillar/ceiling trick didn't support it from the ground...it's driving me nuts
