use a normal Ceiling behind. then a triangle to the side. then a ceiling again then another triangle to get it to point to the center.

Practice with wood. makes it easier to see the pattern. then yolu can get the floors to point to the center like in this image.

thats the ceiling where a 3 wide wall is coming together and the only way I have been able to close it so far is either go up with a roof panel and down with a wall on one side or just use a flat ceiling panel, I was hoping to stay away from a flat ceiling on this part of the build, I would go to 4 wide by limited due to another player having pillars too close

Oh I was being ridiculous and looking at it as if your were looking down. I was like "hm, interesting build" lol. Anyway, yeah as far as I know there are no quarter slopes. It'd be cool if there were. I'm not sure if you can place any variation of roof on either side and just cross them over each other.

To get a clean peak you'd have to pick up your current roof pieces, put a wall going up the middle, and place sloped pieces off either side of that. But you could connect ceilings to your top walls, then place the center wall on them, so you don't just have a wall coming up from your bottom floor.

You can always skin the flat ceilings and structural walls to be see-through I guess

all of that blue was individually placed pillar by pillar and beam by beam. Agreed on the slow mode thing. But it took me 4 days building non stop for roughly 5 hours a day, and if you look at the front I had to place thousands of foundations to make it flat. Was a super fun build.

I believe all of the assets I actually used are from these two mods:

RR-Homedeco and more! (contains the wall dossiers and most furniture)
Klinger Additional Rustic Building (for some of the boxes and beds)
I also used the circle menu to change the wood over to "black tek" or the dark wood on most items.
Edit: The dyes used are mostly black and skobeloff, with the odd use of cetacean on things like the water tank and industrial cooker.

If there’s not a snap point in the ground it’s unlikely it will provide foundation support even if you do manage to build from the top all the way down so you don’t need the pillar anyway.

I ended up leaving that server because the owner had a massive base that caused me to crash in the redwoods. Not being able to hunt beacon drops without CTD'ing in the redwoods is a pain. Back on single player, kinda hoping there's a decent PVE cluster with boosted rates, but none of them seem really appealing ATM.

So I have a structure limit issue...... and yea.... I used too many triangles. I cannot place anything inside the base towards the center of it. Can I simply make it taller then add the roof? Why is it saying no foundation support when I’m building a tower and have several foundations placed underneath. It’s like after so many large metal walls it says there is no support?

After 8 large metal walls it begins to say there is no foundation support but I have plenty of foundations below

Yeah there's a height limit.
Sometimes you can build above it, but I don't know why yet.
One thing I think happens is that sometimes it starts counting from the lowest foundation, and not the highest one.
So you might start a build and reach the top, then extend some foundation support further down to expand a side, only to suddenly lose all foundation support up at the top - even for previously placed pieces.
So watch out for that possibility.

It should work like that but there's always a chance that it can get stuck on a corner. And it works best when the fridges are overhanging.

If you know a little about building, you can always put a circle on top on a flat square roof using Pillars and triangle Ceilings. Or just make an add on to base if you have room on the ground for it

I built a water pen with the floor being ceilings and supported with pillars. After being finished with the water pen I decided to put a hanging building over it. A placed a beam accross the pen using walls and ceilings. I placed the first hook for the building about 4 ceilings away from the outer wall and placed the second 5 ceilings away from the first more towards the center of water pen. It now says that I cant place anything because it doesnt have support. How can I fix this or check to see where its not supported.

there are a few videos out there. on how to do it., I figured it out before the videos came out. and was trying to trade me building for in game stuff., but no one wanted to do it.

It looks like you're playing ASE, so Super Structures/S+ or whatever it's called now is the mod that allows you to stack foundations. Otherwise you can raise foundations by snapping them to pillars

But you can build most of these with just the LegionsShip mod.
Made in Single Player with creative mode.

Damn mate, this is incredible! Do you usually build the bow piece yourself or is it a part of the mod, too? I remember having trouble getting that bent bow shape when building the black pearl for that ARKitects video a while back. That kind of curvature would be even harder in ASA...

Tested a bit more of what we can add on Battlerigs, mostly the same items as we can place on other platforms.
We can add Floors and Pillars - but nothing else snaps to them.
In this pic, I have a few with the default turrets, as well as the new RazorWasp Hive, Rocket Turret (all turrets work), Benches, Boxes, Cannon, Tesla Coil, Cage, Tek Genny and Tek Turret, Gas Genny & Autoturret.
We cna even place crafting stations, including the tek replicator.

hi, is therea way for me to build this platform higher so that it doesnt clip into the structure im building on

i tried ghosting through but it clips into a part that i cant keep building into. i tired foundations, pillars. i was able to buildit on top of a crystal rock last time in Abb, similar to syntacs base in his Abb series. im trying to build something similar again. just having trouble trying to rise the platform enough to not be clipping into the structure

I was able to build walls on the parts that were in the structure becaue im certain, but i couldnt build the celings past a certain point along the edges that were cliped further into the structure.

Typically those platforms are all junky to place on flats like that works better on like tiny boulders try flying to place if you can or get elevated

5500 cap is in a 35 foundation radius, from the point you are placing a structure. start in the center and work outwards.

just dont pick something up by mistake in the middle or you wont be able to place it back. also make sure it is completely furnished if it is a crafting area. or you wont be able to place the benches or anything.

the ground in this particular spot is too low for the foundation to snap onto its neighbours, tends to happen on uneven ground

in this case, you'll need to start working with ceilings and maybe even pillars, depending how far off you want to go from the foundations

in ASE with out a mod that allows stacking you will need to use ceilings and pillars.

not sure the restrictions on there or the server you are playing on. but official ASA has a limit of 5500 Structures in a 35 foundation radius From the point you are placing the new structure. yours seems to be 1632 from the point of placing.

if in single player you need to find the right setting to increase it. or you need to know your build. and build form the center out. but then you will never be able to pick up and put back something in the middle of the build.

There's a limit to how high in the world you're allowed to even build things.
Placing a foundation down sometimes works in those areas for some reason, but you eventually get the too high messgae.

If you have any boats or dino saddles with stuff built on them, move them away from your build area. "Vehicle" structures count in the area limit.

So, I'm building a spaceship in the wastes when King Titan decided to have a little visit. For science, I flew back inside and he did an element attack. Thankfully it only did 400-500 splash damage for the 1 hit. I left right after that 😂 The entire base is made out of metal using the ASR Mod.

Doesn’t say in the wiki but if you put them in sleep mode and it still lights the fires then it consumes 50% less food when in this state
